Part II: Introducing the CatWiki

The CatWiki will be a section of Catallaxy Files dealing with Reference information. A topic will be posted, and if you have material by way of articles, videos, audios, links, sources, research papers, scientific studies – anything that can be used for reference purposes on the topic, post them as comments. Each thread is only for the specific topic.

The content here will help to quickly locate data on the subject should anyone need it for educating others, for debates or discussions anywhere, especially with the less informed, and those on the other side. This will be a helpful way to find sources and facts when dealing with a fake news situation.

This section is not an Open Thread. It is a reference area. Please try, as far as possible, to provide clear information.** Instead of just posting a link, add some relevant points. If you can, include a few sentences with the title, sources, participants and a brief explanation.

If you are posting a comment with data that you have compiled, give it a heading that describes the content.

This will make it easier, now or at a later stage, for anyone needing that data to locate it with the Search words. There is so much of good information that gets scrolled past because it does not have some description added to it.

Adam has already provided the first topic on Ivermectin here.

More details about the CatWiki will be provided in the coming weeks. If you would like to take part in this project and have  suggestions to improve it, please share them in the comments.

Mixed feelings about CatWiki. In these times nothing is absolute and with health last week’ advice is this week’ cause of harm. The there’s the spin and the advertising. I think it’s best to keep up to date and there are a lot of people out there reading and writing a lot. The only place the variety doesn’t affect is the MSM. For example here’s a very short clip you can go through quickly to get the idea. But just no proof to support it. Might be genuine, might be complete rubbish.

This purpose of this post was to introduce the concept of the CatWiki. The discussion on this thread is meant to be at a general level with suggestions and feedback.

Since it is still a new project, you will be able to share more in the coming weeks as it begins to build up. I am interested in those who can see the benefit of this database and would like to help in this project.

Here is a link to a Speccie article on an Australian developed vaccine currently blocked from the approval process:

John A, the link you have shared in your comment will be relevant in a specific topic, not here. However, I will repeat what I have stated in the post about clarity. We all use the Search feature in our browsers and they are quite powerful. We don’t have such a feature here.

It would be helpful when posting, to include the important Search words to make it easy for anyone looking for information to find it. So, using the example you have posted, I would rephrase as:

    From The Spectator:

    The Petrovsky Affair

Professor Nikolai Petrovsky has just developed Australia’s first successful vaccine in 40 years. In any approximation of a normal world, he would be feted as the living incarnation of the government’s much trumpeted aspiration to be an ‘innovation nation’. Instead, he has been stood down by his university and threatened with arrest if he sets foot in his office. Why? For refusing to be immunised with one of the vaccines approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).

If someone is searching for this article, but they can’t remember the name, then words like Spectator, Petrovsky, TGA, vaccine in the comment, would help them find it.

It takes a little bit of extra time, to do it this way, but the purpose of the wiki is to help people find information quickly. So some effort and an extra minute or two on our part, will in the long term help users.

We are just beginning. All shall be revealed. Soon. 🙂

And, thanks, John A. Your comment in the other thread was that you are prepared to give something a go. I am happy to have on board those who are ready to do something. This is going to be a very big task.
