It would be difficult to imagine a left-wing political party (with all its progressive goals) and a right-wing party (focussed on freedom and individual rights) teaming up together to fight on a common issue. Yet, this is what has happened in the United States.
The People’s Party formed by Nicholas Brana after the 2016 election and Angela McArdle of the Libertarian Party (founded in 1971) are on a combined mission called the Rage Against the War Machine. They speak to investigative journalist James Corbett and explain the reasons why they have joined forces. They will be holding an anti-war rally in Washington D.C. on Sunday, 19th February. They share how this movement came about, what their demands are, and what they hope to achieve and accomplish.
Nicholas says:
Something drastic has to be done. Because we are in a World War right now. NATO is in a war with Russia…. It is a slow motion escalation, and we will reach nuclear war unless that is stemmed, and so that’s why it is so important for everybody to come join us on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on Feb 19.
Angela adds:
The people in the United States also don’t understand Russia culturally. And it’s not about whether or not Vladimir Putin is in the right or whether or not the people of Russia are right to support him….We have got to do our part to not be culpable in this war. To not rob Americans of taxpayers dollars when it goes to NATO….We need to try to do what we can to try not see the world blown up….to try to avoid nuclear war.
They invite Americans to join them at this rally where there will be veterans, speakers, rock musicians, comedians, and others. After the rally, they will march to the White House and deliver their demands to Warmonger-in-Chief Joe Biden.
Corbett asks:
What is this rally going to do?
Nicholas’ response:
We have to try. We have to fight back….If we don’t resist….
they are going to say:
There is no resistance. There is no effective resistance. So we have carte blanche to do whatever we want….We know that it makes a difference…so that’s why we have to try.
Angela continues:
Faith in the whole system is low. Now is the best time to push….
It is a left-right unity move….both sides of the aisle and the independent sector.
The event in Washington D.C. will be live streamed for those not able to get to the rally.
The rally planners hope that rallies can also take place globally, especially in NATO countries. That would be a revolt against NATO in NATO.
mh has shared here, here and here in the Open Threads, some of the discussions related to the rally and the problems being faced by the organisers.
Political boundaries are becoming blurred and there’s an awakening to local and global issues which individuals have become aware of, regardless of their political club badge.
I saw an example recently where Scott Ritter (Major, US Marine Intelligence) spoke passionately to a meeting of grey haired superannuated peaceniks. I’m sure that there’s an ocean sized gap between Ritter and their political beliefs, yet there was a recognition that something is seriously wrong with their (and our) situations.

Thanks for reading my links, KC.
I note Jimmy Dore back then told Tucker that America blew up the pipeline.
Dore also said “The United States is the world’s terrorist.”
Harder and harder to argue against it now.

These Germans won’t be laughing now.
Its 2023 and they are totally dependent on America for their energy, thanks to America blowing up their gas pipeline.
But the Germans are taking the humiliation well.

It was always about regime change in Russia

Following various articles on the Ukraine war, I’ve ended up at some lefty sites that are woke to the usual issues of climate, sexuality and so on. Yet, on this war, they are calling it propaganda and haven’t fallen for the ‘it’s all Russia’s fault’ slogan by the MSM.
