At least one inquiry-linked SAS soldier accused of Afghan war crimes sent back to Kabul

A Special Air Service Regiment soldier accused of Afghan war crimes was redeployed to the country for the evacuation mission in Kabul after he was “quietly” cleared of the allegations, it has been revealed.
Connected to the Brereton Inquiry — a report on war crimes — the soldier is among a contingent of Defence Force personnel sent to evacuate Australians and allied-Afghan nationals from encroaching Taliban fighters in Kabul.
The revelation about their exoneration emerged last night, despite the head of Defence Media telling The West Australian on Friday that no one connected to the Brereton Inquiry had been deployed to Afghanistan.
Any information to the contrary was “not true”, a spokeswoman said.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison also dismissed questions over the matter when asked by The West last week.
News Corp last night reported that the solider was one of 13 soldiers, whose names have been quietly cleared.
They were last week sent a letter from the authority of the Defence chief stating: “I am not satisfied that there is sufficient information available to me to refer the matter” to investigators.”
The findings of the Brereton report were handed down by the Chief of the Australian Defence Force, Gen. Angus Campbell, pictured, in November last year to much fanfare. And former Special Forces major Heston Russell blasted the decision to quietly clear the group — arguing their vindication deserved to be highlighted as prominently as the Brereton report itself.
“The allegations were made so publicly they did immeasurable harm to morale and now the climb down is being done quietly while everyone else is distracted,” he said.
“The problem is that the inquiry has put hesitation into the minds of every member of the defence force … second guessing yourself in Afghanistan can be deadly.”

Thirty adults were fined $1,000 each and the church was issued a $5,000 penalty.
The police minister, David Elliott, was “quite stunned” by the reckless behaviour, saying if major cathedrals can stream services then suburban churches can as well.
“Churches are there to profess the message of hope and love and to have those people endanger communities … is extraordinary,” he told Sydney radio 2GB on Monday.

    NT News:

THE murder trial of NT Police officer Zach Rolfe has been postponed indefinitely after the High Court granted a last minute application to stay proceedings.

Prosecutors applied for the stay after seeking leave to appeal an NT Supreme Court decision allowing Rolfe to rely on a “good faith” immunity under the Police Administration Act.

In her decision, handed down just an hour before the jury was due to be impanelled, Justice Jacqueline Gleeson ordered the trial be put off until after the High Court had had a chance to review the lower court’s ruling.

Justice Gleeson noted that the proper interpretation of the immunity provision was a matter of significant public importance, that the Crown had substantial prospects of obtaining a grant of special leave to appeal and that there were exceptional circumstances warranting a stay pending the determination of the application.

Rolfe has pleaded not guilty to the murder of 19-year-old Kumanjayi Walker in Yuendumu in 2019.

The trial was formally stayed until after the High Court considers the case on September 10 but no new trial date will likely be found before some time next year.

According to health and criminology models one person in every group of friends has the potential to be a serial killer.  Thinking about this I figured my mate Dave was most likely to turn killer, so for the good of the community I threw him off a cliff. But then I thought about the Munroe twins who have been my mates since school, they could really do some damage if they worked together, so I holed their boat and they both drowned. I have no mates left now but feel perfectly safe and am proud that I protected the community from these future ruthless killers.

The surface grammar is not working. The deep grammar is, though.

“ There’s no application of the people in the streets that gets you out of this now.””

    ..

    There isn’t.

I suggest you think through what happened after the US election fraud and what occurred when people of our views Marched on the Capital.

As I said, something more subtle and intelligent will be required.

I’m not saying “Don’t go to the streets”.

I’m saying that isn’t going to be the thing that changes these arseholes minds. They’re gagging for it. That should be an extra clue.

“And something about “funnelling of citizens onto the streets”not being a wise approach.  Edifying stuff.”

Compare your hysterical misquote with the true thing I actually said:

“Whatever you decide to do from here has to have a lot more subtlety and intelligence behind it than funnelling citizens onto the street for a few hours every month to get arrested and shot at.”

    ..

If you think they give a damn about what occurred this last weekend, you’re not paying attention.

Which was again, too little too late.

The time to confront the election fraud was when the democrats were sending out massive amounts of mail in ballots earlier in the year.

    FOAD you loathsome turd.</b.

Eyrie, I haven’t told anyone to get the vax, you delusional old fuckhead. In fact, I’ve said time and time again that getting the jab is a very personal decision.

What I have done though, is refute some of the crap said about vaxxes posted here by idiots like you who should … how does it go again…stay in their lane.

Now get back in your box and STFU, you pretentious old nitwit.

    Steve Trickler, thank you.
That first one last night, where the dudes in the pickup cruise alongside the locomotive for miles…. wow.. just wow.

Big Boy rides like a silk purse.   Okay, there’s zero load on the locomotive, so it’s not going to be labouring, but still… it’s fantastic.

Shame there’s so much blaring of the horn, it smothers the soft ‘hiss’ of the steam.

He’s not “taking the piss”. He just doesn’t do it to me ( and I really don’t care what the tiresome banana picker says about me). Take a look at his comments for the past week – that aren’t to just directed to me but several commenters here. It’s just stupid trolling. Really dumb trolling.
