    Coles customers shopping at the retailer’s Fitzroy supermarket in Melbourne next week will be able to take their own containers and fill them with washing detergent, face wash, shampoo, coffee and even olive oil.

    While health and safety rules dictate that customers still can’t use their own containers at the deli, Coles is testing a BYO container system for select ‘scoop and weigh’ products as part of its quest to cut down on plastic packaging and reduce waste sent to landfill.

    For a while, Monash council has been encouraging us to not just put leaves and twigs in our green bin, but also food scraps, both vegetable and animal. Now we’ve been told that later this year or weekly collection shall switch to the green bin, with the other two bins (yellow for all recycling, red for general landfill) alternating fortnightly.

    I guess we are not the first and the council is only reacting to dictates from the Victorian government.

    No jabs needed, no jab passport, no employment limitations. That was four days ago. Yet here we are in Australia being screwed over….grrr. As for the clip, it is tour of a huge supermarket; and a well stocked one at that.

    Will be interesting for some and no doubt boring for others.

    No doubt many CATS are already doing this but I reckon everyone should consider doing the same…growing your own veggies and fruits. I certainly have a lot of learning to do…not the best green thumb in the world.

    Steve, when I was growing up quite a few people had a veggie patch and/or fruit trees in their backyards. But, it was an is a hobby, not a viable food source. Peasant farmers have always been desperately poor, and that’s not going to change.

    Nowadays a lot of people live in places without a backyard, and growing a few micro herbs on your window sill is not going to feed anyone except a mouse.

    By all means, grow some veggies/fruit if you enjoy doing it. But, it has nothing to do with the reality of feeding the masses.

    Nobody in Australia has dropped the mandates etc.

    Even though we have elections coming up, the Uniparty can’t lose – so the people will lose instead.

    All the emergency legislation is still in place and it is very unlikely to be removed. They have sold out the country to the globalists so we won’t be voting our way out of this.

    Family already has a large patch that pumps out heaps of produce that we make use off, so, why not join in on the act. 😀

    growing your own veggies and fruits.

    This is a big part of our plan for the multi family/generation house.
    Rabbits are a problem, so the boys have fenced a very large area for the garden and added a few half tanks for raised beds. In addition, they’ve erected a hot house for tomatoes etc in winter.
    They’ve also planted 40 fruit and nut trees in a dedicated orchard area. And to top it off, six sheep (plus a new lamb born overnight, and three more to come) for future Sunday roasts.
    All this (plus 300 newly planted trees) is being watered from three 22,000 litre rainwater tanks.

    Elon Musk’s Tesla has increased the prices of its entire lineup of electric vehicles shortly after Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg promoted electric cars as a solution to high gas prices.

    The Verge reports that Tesla has raised prices across its entire vehicle lineup by between 5 and 10 percent. The cheapest Tesla vehicle, the Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive, now has a starting price point of $46,990. The company’s top-end Model X Tri motor has increased in price by $12,500, from $126,490 to $138,990.

    Cheaper than bicycles.
