    Hi BBS
Funny you should mention that – for a few months prior to two of my big stones (hospital), I had been taking glucosamine.  After the second stone, I stopped taking the supplement and just drank more water.  It’s been 12 years now since any big ones, though I can feel the odd small one pass through.

The calcium stone was only 5mm diameter & smooth – passed through in a day or so.

19 Year Old Man Jailed After Mental Breakdown in Hotel Quarantine

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2uWy9eNH1M

    Sep 5, 2021
    Real Rukshan

A 19 year old man has had a mental breakdown prior to his release from a 14-day hotel quarantine stint in a hotel in Richmond, Victoria. During the incident that was recorded by Danny Hayes (also in quarantine at the same hotel), the man is heard yelling at authorities about his state of mind and smashing items in his hotel room. At one point a police officer is alleged to have yelled “calm down or you are going to get f***ing gassed” at the man.

The media and government rarely focus on understanding the nature of these incidents, however they devote a lot of time and coverage to understanding alleged breaches of CHO directives, most recently a incident involving Nadia Bartel.

We know about this particular incident involving this young man because of the recording made by another member of the public at the hotel, however how many such incidents are occurring at such facilities throughout the country, and are steps ever taken to address these problems?

The man has subsequently been given a 3 month jail sentence for damaging property and attempting to leave hotel quarantine earlier.

“Thomas became violent on Saturday because he believed he was due to leave quarantine at midday on September 4 but staff would not let him out. In fact, he was not due to leave until a minute before midnight”

  69. Graeme,

that scene with Liz is top notch.  I think she was the most beautiful actress ever and that performance perhaps her best.  Though all the performances in the film are great.

It seems that the best of the films of that time created an intensity of emotion that is mostly lacking in today’s performances.   Whether that’s because in that earlier period, when there was no Industrial Light and Magic to turn to for everything, time was spent in developing the story, in the characterisation, dialogue and direction, all meat and bones for the actors and actresses to drawn on to create their performance.

Films, today, mostly are action movies with a few “witty” one-liners instead of the mesmeric quality of the English language that we see  in Cat and other classics. And, perhaps, acting with just a green screen, there’s nothing to inspire a performance.

Olivia de Havilland in GWTW is another stand out; how an actress is able to depict the most delicately pure of characters without descending into over-egged schmaltz is revelatory.

I came across the Ezekiel Declaration a few days ago and wanted to gauge the reactions from the various Christian denominations and groups. For those not aware of it, this is an Open Letter to the Prime Minister from some Australian Christian leaders. It highlights the concerns of people regarding vaccine passports and mandatory vaccination.

There are some Christian leaders who will not be signing this letter and they have explained their reasons.

From the Catholic perspective, many Catholics (as in Catholics faithful to the teachings of the Church) have reservations about these vaccines, their origins and whether they are necessary. They are also against mandatory vaccinations and the passports.

Then we have the catholics, (the progressives) that is the Bergoglio-Biden branch, who are pro vaccines and pro passports.

Among the Protestants , it seems the other way around. The conservative evangelicals seem to be against the signing of the letter.

    Tim Costello says:

《 On one side we have those who have publicly stated they have been vaccinated such as the Anglican Archbishop of Sydney, Brian Houston of Hillsong and Archbishop Mark Coleridge president of the Catholic bishops’ conference, along with most other denominational heads of the Baptist, Uniting and Churches of Christ. 》

I can only post one link, here, so will post 3 other links in following comments. Those here who are Christians and concerned about the mandatory vaccinations and passports, read the information and decide if you want to add your name to the letter signed by Church Leaders, Members and Attendees.
