I wonder what she died from

Dr Trisha Stratford, a former relationship expert on the reality program Married at First Sight, has died aged 72.

Relationship expert John Aiken, who featured alongside Stratford in MAFS, announced the news on Monday via social media.

“I’m heartbroken and devastated that my friend and dear colleague Trisha has passed away,” he wrote on Instagram. “We shared an amazing seven seasons of MAFS together. She loved everything New Zealand, relationships, the All Blacks, the Black Caps, French wine and traveling the world. I’ll miss you, Tish. Thank you for all the memories.” He did not reveal the circumstances of her death.

It look like we’ve entered the beginning phase of the wind-up of the Ukrainian war.

Antony Blinken’s recent visit to Kiev was to tell Zelensky that the counter-offensive had failed and that he should approach Putin for a cease-fire with talks to follow. This is bad news for Zelensky as he’s only tolerated by the Ukrainian crazies as he brought the NATO aid into Ukraine, and if he approaches the Russians for a cease-fire, then he’s a dead man.

Zelensky’s bestest buddy Boris Johnson visited Zelensky the next day to commiserate with him. They probably shared a few lines of coke and engaged in a bit of male bonding afterwards, Boris gets the hots when Vlodymyr puts on his high heel stilettos. Then the next day Annalena Baerbock, the German Foreign Minister, also arrived in Kiev to confirm that the EU was on the same page as the USA and the UK and that Ukraine would need to start talking to Russia.

The Biden administration wants this war wrapped up before next year’s elections, Biden doesn’t want another Afghanistan retreat debacle in the midst of his election campaign.

Zelensky knows though that the Azov guys will assassinate him if he approaches Russia for cease-fire talks, the Ukrainian diplomat who, on Zelensky’s orders, agreed to a cease-fire with Russia in Ankara last year was murdered after he returned to Kiev, such will be Vlodymyry’s fate.

Zelensky boxed in, prepares to visit the USA – the Duran, 26 mins.

The Duranites say that Zelensky’s only hope is to seek protected asylum in Russia. His problem isn’t only the home-grown crazies, it’s also the US State Department will do a Ngo Dinh Diem on him when he falls from favour.

I doubt that he would find safety anywhere in the West, there are organised Banderite groups in the USA, Canada and England, and probably elsewhere too. They aren’t the only Ukrainians though who would rejoice at Zelensky’s departure from this world.

The other unhappy folks are the oligarchs who have lost everything. The Monaco Brigade are most unhappy, Zelensky nationalised everything so it could be on-sold to Blackrock and friends, all factories, farmlands, everything – gone.

Look at poor Igor Kolomoisky for example, once one of the richest men in Ukraine, the person who put Zelensky on the throne, has dropped out of the Forbes Richest Men list of billionaires to a paltry $800 Million.

Then, to make matters worse, Zelensky just threw poor old Igor into gaol.

The Voice to Parliament Handbook by Thomas Mayo, Kerry O’Brien (9781741178869) – PaperBack – Politics Australian
    (2)

We invite you to walk with us, in a movement of the Australian ‘people for a better future.’ These words from the Uluru Statement from the Heart are a heartfelt invitation from First Nations People to fellow Australians, who will have the opportunity to respond when the Voice referendum is put to a national vote by the Albanese Government.
Indigenous leader Thomas Mayo and acclaimed journalist Kerry O’Brien have written this handbook to answer the most commonly asked questions about why the Voice should be enshrined in the Constitution, and how it might function to improve policies affecting Indigenous communities, and genuinely close the gap on inequalities at the most basic level of human dignity.

A handy tool for people inclined to support a ‘yes’ vote in the referendum, The Voice to Parliament Handbook reflects on this historic opportunity for genuine reconciliation, to right the wrongs and heal the ruptured soul of a nation. This guide offers simple explanations, useful anecdotes, historic analogies and visual representations, so you can share it among friends, family and community networks in the build-up to the referendum.
If the ‘yes’ vote is successful this book will also become a keepsake of an important and emotional milestone in Australia’s history.

    Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸
    @RepMTG
Yesterday, I had the honor of meeting with a delegation of Australian members of parliament to discuss the inhumane detention of Julian Assange for the crime of committing journalism.

Currently, the first amendment is under assault in America and Assange has been in detention for over 11 years.

The same type of prosecution is being conducted by China against Australian journalist, Cheng Lei, for exposing the CCP.

America should not be treating journalists in the same manner as communist China.

I will work with our allies in Australia to return Assange home, where his fellow citizens support his release at levels of around 90%.

This is not a partisan matter. The Australian delegation had members ranging from the far-right to the far-left.

Julian Assange’s charges should be dropped and he should be pardoned.

America should be a beacon of free speech and shouldn’t be following in an authoritarian regime’s footsteps.

The decision will see the project cost blow out to $3.2 billion — up from $2.8 billion — and the project’s delivery date pushed out by another two years to 2030-31.
The old Royal Adelaide Hospital, antiquated to be sure but much loved by staff due to it’s proximity to the city for a quick lunchtime shop and snack was replaced by the new RAH at the other end of town with access to nothing. It was like walking into a plush hotel, enormous, complicated, full of none-toilet-trained multiculti ancilliary staff and a nightmare for clinicians. Every ward looked exactly the same and if you had to rush to another ward to, for example, deal with a heart attack or other emergency it took forever. Navigating the emergency department where every cubicle had an obscure identifier with bay 12 being next to bay 17, bay 13 being round the corner of course and opposite bay 1, and regular shuffling of patients into different cubicles but the computer system would have to wait to be updated until the ward clerk got back from her tea break so you ended up talking to the wrong patient if you didn’t ask who they were was a deal breaker for me. Well, they’re doing it again. It is of course a huge financial gift to unions and their mate’ businesses, as was the new RAH.
Heard about it for the first time on the ABC wireless this am, something about police horses and homeless people in parklands.

Continuing the “what a shitshow healthcare is” theme –

Concerns have been raised about resentment within the workplace surfacing when workers who refused to get a COVID-19 vaccine shot begin to return to their former jobs.
“Given the extreme conditions experienced by those on the frontline during the pandemic, we understand there are mixed feelings regarding the repeal of the vaccine mandate,” Ms Veach said.

Some legal experts say the Referendum, as it currently stands, is not legal. There are others like Dutton and some in the media who had been asking Albanese to delay or put off the Referendum because it hasn’t been properly planned.

The Referendum should go ahead and be done with. I can’t trust the polls and be confident that the officially declared verdict will be NO. But I hope that it will be in both ways a clear majority NO on October 14 and the result is not delayed and dependent on the postal ballots.

This Voice and all its attachments of Acknowledgements, Welcomes to Country, Flags, Australia Day debates and so on should be banned. And an investigation into what happened to the $35+ billion given each year.

This could make a terrible mess much worse. The Russians blew up two Ukrainian tanks yesterday on the northern front somewhere, and it was reported that the crews in both tanks were Germans.

Nothing new there, mercenaries come from all over the place to fight, and assumptions are made that these tank crews were also just mercenaries.

It transpires that they were soldiers of the German Army, they weren’t mercenaries nor rebadged & re-uniformed NATO transferees.

This won’t sit well with the Russian populace, they have very strong opinions about the German army in German made tanks rolling across their motherland.

Scholz has slipped up badly here.

Ted, the squillion dollar new(ish) Canberra Hospital seems to be designed to confuse people as to where they are and how to find anything. It’s one of those architectural wank projects which no doubt impressed the selection committee with its ‘cutting edge’ design.

There is wasted space everywhere, the numbering system is incomprehensible, the lifts are hidden in obscure corners of the building, there is no access to fresh air for patients unless they go out of the building, and the location ‘plan’ means that outpatients coming in for, say, an X ray followed by an orthopedic consultation have to limp or wheel themselves about a kilometre between the two facilities.

There must be tens of thousands of medium sized hospitals around the world. Surely by now it would not be difficult to identify the ‘best practice’ principles for their design. But no, every time the politicians get sucked in by the promise of re-inventing the wheel at vast expense.
