    One of those dressed up as the Easter Bunny was Director of Message Planning Meghan Hays.

    Ms Hays later shared an image of herself with Mr Biden, and First Lady Jill Biden, where she is unmasking herself as one of the bunnies.

    This isn’t the first time the US President has been the centre of an embarrassing moment after he confused Iranians with Ukrainians when discussing the Russian invasion and shook hands with thin air in separate incidents.

    thanks egg, Didn’t think it could have been an entertainer who dressed in costumes for gigs. Had to be a Biden carer.

    I wonder how many on staff have their jobs as getting him dressed properly, hair tidy etc and getting him to practice his speaking engagements and helping him learn the current events and what is happening, where he will be and who he will meet. Every day must be full on for a group of individuals to get him presentable in some form.

    Black Ball, There was a debate. The clips I bothered with showed
    Albanese touch on subjects like stagnant wages, housing unaffordability, problems in aged care, the Solomon Islands situation. Morrison was about jobs, jobs, jobs, the economy.

    You’d have to watch the whole thing, that’s just a bit through clips and stuff.

    Albanese looked quite fit and well looking, good posture, seems a nice bloke on the whole. Morrison was more hunched and that bit of aggro he usually has in his attitude and stance. Not as fit as Albanese who must have done some serious diet watching and training and wears his suit very well.

    IIRC Wei & Cathy upthread said that as a social meeja platform, Twitter had c. 220 million subscribers compared to Facebook’s 1.2 Billion, i.e. it is more of a US-centric, elitist platform where the elites message the proles.
    It makes sense that Trump used the vehicle in such a manner and why Musk would find it useful, as well as many social influencers.

    “Unexplained”

    A 10-year-old girl has died after she suffered a heart attack at a West London leisure centre yesterday afternoon (April 19). The schoolgirl went into a cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead after being rushed to hospital. Police and ambulance crews were called to Putney Leisure centre on Dryburgh Road at 2.46pm.

    Enquiries are still ongoing and the child’s next of kin has been informed. Whilst police carry out their investigation there is a crime scene in place. The Putney leisure centre has now re-opened. Police are treating her death as ‘unexplained’ and are trying to work out the circumstances behind the tragic situation.

    Do tell – it used to be 3x screwups and you’re out the door with Big Kezza, apparently.

    Prolly diversity hires on the job – prolly even in OBs it’s now all digital equipment, i.e. virtual and some numpty wasn’t familiar with the gear.

    On a side note, my kids did some garage band stuff at Christmas that I recorded with my smartphone.
    My request was Rick Springfield’s “Jessie’s Girl” that Egg Jnr did a guitar solo for.
    I recently downloaded the free “DAW” Traktion Waveform and added a ‘Jessie’s Girl’ YouTube drum solo audio track that I downloaded to put drums behind him and it came out rather well – both artists were in time quite well (131 bpm?) so it synched up rather well considering it was an impromptu practice session on my son’s behalf.
    I see that artists such as Rick apparently encourage remixes of their work as it probably renews interest and promotes sales of their back catalogue.
    Some sites are promoting remix competitions, probably as it again promotes sales of VST plugins, etc.
    Remuxed the audio-video in Wondershare Filmora 11 full version (that has some powerful utilities of its own and demo versions exist) and uploaded to YouTube as a private video for the family.

    …Earlier in the day, he referenced former Fed Chairman Paul Volcker, who battled inflation in the late 1970s and early ’80s with a series of rate hikes that ultimately led to a recession. Volcker “knew that in order to tame inflation and heal the economy, he had to stay the course,” Powell said.

    The Volcker Fed ultimately took the benchmark rate to nearly 20%; it currently sits in a range between 0.25% and 0.50%.

    The US economy will crash and burn if Powell got up to around 3% interest rates, let alone getting ahead of the current 8.5% inflation rate.
