Mum has had none, like me. I’ll heed the advice from calli and jo and just let it play out and zip my lip. The thing is, dad is in the East, me on the West coast.

Avoiding the conversation will be difficult.

    Steve,

I am glad you have arrived at the decision with the help of advice from calli and johanna.

Adding my suggestion here. You have done your best to educate your dad. You can’t do anymore. It is affecting your health – the psychological will have an impact on the physical.

For your own well-being, adopt the Agree to Disagree motto. Keep off this topic when you interact with your dad. You can let him know that you respect his decision and you hope he respects yours, and that you would like to leave it at that.

When you speak to him, talk about neutral subjects. That way, you can maintain a friendly relationship with him. If, and when, it reaches a stage where he realises the truth, he’ll feel comfortable talking to you about it.

Nelson has a point, too. We have to select the battles worth fighting.

Brought to you by Johnson and Johnson

“In March, I got the J&J vaccine. I got it because I work with babies in the nursery – I volunteer there – and I also babysit, so I’m around babies all the time. It’s what I do. I didn’t want to put the babies in danger,” Burkey admits.

The beach-loving grad says she chose J&J because it was only a one-shot dose vaccine.

Soon, she began experiencing fevers and vomiting, which doctors reportedly dismissed as normal.

On April 2, Burkey says she had a terrible headache that “felt like my head was vibrating.”

Burkey next began experiencing involuntary neck movements and throwing up blood.

She was then transported to a hospital with EMS workers believing she was suffering a seizure, but doctors later learned she was experiencing bleeding within the brain due to a stroke.

After three brain surgeries, four strokes, intubation and a tracheostomy, Emma was miraculously able to make a comeback and is slowly re-learning how to walk with help from her parents.

“I had brain bleeds and blood clots that the Johnson and Johnson vaccine caused,” Emma says. “I love babies and Johnson and Johnson was the baby company… pretty much anybody who has a baby has used a Johnson and Johnson product.”

“If I had known that this could have happened to me I wouldn’t have done it,” she says, adding, “and they want people to keep getting it.”

Now her family is facing the challenge of helping Emma deal with her new affliction and paying her mounting medical bills.

Spending time at mum’s house on day 1, come midnight, each chime of the bell from the wall clock was a voice shouting, die die die die die die die die die die die die…I kid you not.

I visited a friend the next day up the hill, the voice was still present. Coming home down Toodyay road, the voice told me this…

I want the Liberal Party to FOAD, but this is still interesting

Sky News host Andrew Bolt has declared Peter Dutton should “get ready to lead” because Scott Morrison’s desperate hair-washing stunts make him look like a loser.
While it’s too early to write him off, the columnist has savaged the performance of the Prime Minister in an opinion piece for the Herald Sun that is being widely shared and discussed by Liberal MPs arriving in Canberra for the first sitting week of the year.

“Peter Dutton, get ready to lead. Prime Minister Scott Morrison looks finished, and is now making a fool of himself to get some love,” Bolt wrote.

“Stinking in the polls, called a liar by his own deputy, and mocked as out of touch for not knowing the price of bread, Morrison on Friday hit back. He called in at a Melbourne hairdresser’s and … washed a woman’s hair.”

If and when the Prime Minister departs the top job, Bolt said that it was Defence Minister Peter Dutton who was the best option.

“Dutton must be the Liberals’ next leader, at least if Morrison falls before the election. He is an instantly known quantity. Instantly dangerous,” he said.

Victoria Police told barrister Nicola Gobbo they would pay for her to flee overseas, including to a country without extradition treaties with Australia, so she could avoid criminal investigation or prosecution into her work as a police informer.

Any criminal prosecution of Ms Gobbo would likely reveal evidence that Victoria Police would find embarrassing, or expose police members themselves to prosecution.

As we know from experience, if the top dont give a flying root about doing the wrong thing, there would be at least a hundred more waiting for a go after a midnight meeting at the deserted crossroads.

Pfizer registered $36.8 billion of sales in 2021 from the COVID-19 vaccine it makes with BioNTech.

Why it matters: This vaccine is now officially the top-selling pharmaceutical product ever in a single year, by a huge margin.

    – Humira is the next highest, with $20.7 billion reported in 2021 as the next highest in a single year.

What to watch: Pfizer expects the vaccine will generate $32 billion of sales this year, and the company’s antiviral COVID pill, called Paxlovid, will create $22 billion of revenue.

    – Pfizer’s stock dropped more than 5% on those forecasts because Wall Street expected even higher revenue numbers.

Neil Young taking his banishment from Spotify well.

‘Neil Young is urging staff to quit their jobs at Spotify, the company he says spreads disinformation, saying they should leave “before it eats up your soul”.
Young has been leading a boycott of the streaming giant for weeks after he demanded it choose between his music and podcaster Joe Rogan, who has faced criticism for discouraging covid-19 vaccination.
Young, 76, told Spotify workers the company’s chief executive, Daniel Ek, “is your big problem, not Joe Rogan…… the only goals stated by Ek are about numbers – not art”.

Daughter and SiL are heading off to Canberra this weekend to express their anger along with (hopefully) a million others.

There’s a lot of people in WA who would come too but if we go we are not allowed to return home.

The police have returned the fuel following a court ruling, but they have contaminated it with water. The Ottawa police now want the children removed from the protest site, it would be bad optics to go in shooting when there’s children there.

The Police Commissioner should be up in court for contaminating the fuel. That fuel has a legal owner.
