Steve,
I am glad you have arrived at the decision with the help of advice from calli and johanna.
Adding my suggestion here. You have done your best to educate your dad. You can’t do anymore. It is affecting your health – the psychological will have an impact on the physical.
For your own well-being, adopt the Agree to Disagree motto. Keep off this topic when you interact with your dad. You can let him know that you respect his decision and you hope he respects yours, and that you would like to leave it at that.
When you speak to him, talk about neutral subjects. That way, you can maintain a friendly relationship with him. If, and when, it reaches a stage where he realises the truth, he’ll feel comfortable talking to you about it.
Nelson has a point, too. We have to select the battles worth fighting.

Well, team, the party won’t have business cards, flyers or Farceboook accounts for us for another few weeks, so I’m prepping to go join the Canberra protest in the interim.
I spent part of today cutting out steel for a frame for my 12 by 6 tandem trailer to carry large “Freedom” signs on each side and regular sized corflutes on top.
I’ll start the welding tomorrow, and I hope to be on the inland road on Thursday, dropping off some corflutes and shirts etc to members in my electorate’s inland towns on the way.

Once upon a time I was in a dark place and hitting the booze. For two days I was suffering from auditory hallucinations…a clear voice in my head ( my subconscious ) abusing the shit out of me for failures in the past. It was nasty!
Spending time at mum’s house on day 1, come midnight, each chime of the bell from the wall clock was a voice shouting, die die die die die die die die die die die die…I kid you not.
I visited a friend the next day up the hill, the voice was still present. Coming home down Toodyay road, the voice told me this…
DON’T DRIVE AR 100KM/H, GO 200KM/H AND LINE UP A TREE!!
YOU WILL NOT GET HOME ALIVE STEVE!
I worked my way through it; people that have attempted suicide I’ve read have been asked, why did you try?
The voice in my head told me too.🤔
That’s all I want to share.

You’d have to wonder that PM Morrison apologising to the lass Brittany is saying the chap involved is guilty.
How else could you look at it from a legal perspective? From the PM himself and who is involved in any enquiries in the matter must make it pretty clear that Scott Morrison feels the man accused of rape is guilty and he was stating his opinion in parliament?
How do these sort of legal things work?

Couple of items of note. First the Hun:
‘Victoria Police is assessing pictures of Coalition MPs who appear to be breaching covid regulations by not wearing masks inside parliament.
State Liberal and National MPs attended a speech by Essendon great Kevin Sheedy on Tuesday morning inside parliamentary rooms on Spring Street.
But not long after, the party began circulating images of the event online which showed Opposition leader Matthew Guy and his colleagues posing for photos without wearing masks.
It is not yet known if this was a breach of covid guidelines but police are now looking at the images and will decide whether to take further action.
“Victoria Police is currently assessing images circulating on social media of MPs without a mask on in Parliament on 8th of February,” a spokesman said. “We will not be providing further comment at this stage.”‘

And the first few paragraphs of cover report on the Weekly Times:
‘The State Government has told VicForests to back off taking legal action to recover $2m in taxpayer funds from the anti-logging group My Environment.
The move has led the timber industry and Opposition to accuse the Labor Government of going soft on environmental activists as it prepares to battle the Greens in key inner city seats at November’s state election.
The Weekly Times can also reveal Labor loyalists have been appointed to departmental positions overseeing forestry policy, with one recently pre-selected in the key electorate of Preston.’
It’s like they are going the Biden route and persecuting political enemies. Baseball bats with spikes should be awaiting Labor in November, but can’t see any blows from Guy coming forth. Get to it now Guy 🤦♂️🤬

mh, GT became AOTY for her advocacy for victims of CSA. She was groomed/seduced/assaulted/raped by a teacher over quite some time. She reported it, he went to jail. However she had suffered CSA earlier in her life and this doesn’t get covered. In her teens she was clearly showing early signs of borderline personality disorder with an eating disorder and the proverbial MH problems. She hasn’t actually done or achieved anything other than become a poster girl for the misandrists and girlymen.
She’s at the National Press Club, arm in a sling from a bicycle accident, making her speech but is clearly out of sorts. As people with BPD are strongly inclined to self harm, often inflicting cuts to their arms, we should keep our minds open because the press are just dishonest. Soon to be discarded as will Brittney.

That is a dilemma.
If Scotty is at the helm, Lib voters might realise how hopeless the situation is and they may turn to the smaller right wing parties.
If Dutton takes over, they may stay with the Libs.
On the other hand, it looks like neither faction of Uniparty will get a clear majority. For UAP et al teaming up with a government under Scotty would be a definite No. But if it is Dutton, it would be a possibility.
Otherwise, like Israel, it will be back to the polls, again.

Well done to Saskatchewan Premier, Scott Moe, for recognising his failings as a leader and doing something about it. I’m sure the community he represents is truly thankful. Leadership is having the courage to make a change when it becomes obvious that what you are doing is not working, but destroying everything that is good in your community.
Leadership is not invoking unlimited powers so that you can single-handedly drive your community further into despair.

Grace Tame is clearly a left wing activist.
This kind of political attack on the Prime Minister may end up with Australians casting a sympathy vote in May, which the Liberal Party doesn’t deserve.
That’s why the duopoly must be crushed. UAP leader Craig Kelly is doing some honourable grassroots stuff, but that’s not going to lead to a paradigm shift. UAP might have to concentrate on Clive Palmer to give them the brand awareness before the election.

They have changed the borderline personality disorder name to emotionally unstable PD. Which is a better description. She doesn’t have a problem with ScuMo, she just has a problem. ‘Neil Young is urging staff to quit their jobs at Spotify, the company he says spreads disinformation, saying they should leave “before it eats up your soul”.
Young has been leading a boycott of the streaming giant for weeks after he demanded it choose between his music and podcaster Joe Rogan, who has faced criticism for discouraging covid-19 vaccination.
Young, 76, told Spotify workers the company’s chief executive, Daniel Ek, “is your big problem, not Joe Rogan…… the only goals stated by Ek are about numbers – not art”.
