Nice video, kaysee, beautifully creative.  I especially liked the fruit sunflowers with watermelon cut with a flower shape, a rockmelon piece  cut in a ball as the centre of the flower, and grapes as the stem, all on a skewer.  Something adults would love to eat too.

Party trick. Some people are so creative and clever.

Yes, a very good sign that some people in power still have some sense; the other Premiers and ScoMo will have to fall in line with this view soon, because the whole vaxx passport notion is inoperable, easy to game, and useless anyway, because even the vaxxed populations can be carriers of Covid.  To say nothing of the ethics of trying to corral people into ‘health ‘categories.  Lets trial it now with AIDS/HIV status shall we?  And influenza vaxx vs unvaxxed.  That horse won’t run, nor will that old nag Covid.

What’s happened to our politicians? Who do they think they are speaking to when making these types of threats? Do they think a “pandemic response” justifies throwing out all of the values that define this nation? Why are our leaders obsessed with excluding Australians from society for making a choice in a supposedly free & democratic country offering its citizens the ability to make decisions about lifestyle and health based on individual risk? Just for some perspective in Denmark a country comparable to Australia in terms of living standards, the government dropped all restrictions and mandates after reaching its vaccination goals, there is no burden being put on people that do not want to participate. Why are we going full authoritarian?

Victoria Police & Council Officials shutdown a community kitchen providing meals for the homeless and needy in Melbourne by citing the global pandemic & lack of permits last week. In a video shared on the groups public Facebook page yesterday, the Community Union Defence League is approached by members of Victoria police who call the council to check the organisations permits. According to comments made in the video, the organisation claims to do this regularly without an issue, however the council is not interested in showing any discretion to allow the group to continue serving meals to the homeless and needy in Melbourne. At one point a member of Victoria Police attempts to educate the group about the Salvation Army because they are “authorised” to look after the community, hinting perhaps that other types of movements are not required to help the homeless and needy. Prior to being shut down by the police and the council the group had served about 200 meals to the public. This month we have also seen another local government collaborate with the police to shut down a children’s skate park, why are authorities working so hard to create disharmony within our community?

From the latest George Christensen email:
Under no circumstances should you quit your job if your boss tries to enforce a ‘no jab, no job’ rule, even if it’s one that comes with a government mandate.
You do not need to comply with such a request. Why? Well, it certainly is unethical for an employer to demand an employee undertake a medical procedure that only has provisional approval (as employers don’t own their workers’ bodies) but it also may be illegal if they try to sack you for not having it done.
    According to Fair Work:

If an employee refuses a direction to be vaccinated, it’s unlikely that their employer can stand down the employee…
Further, employers generally don’t have the power to suspend employees without pay…
Employees have various protections against being dismissed or treated adversely in their employment. Employers should make sure that they follow a fair process and have a valid reason for termination, or they may breach unfair dismissal or adverse action laws…

I would hope that this advice also applies to government employers such as the police, schools and hospitals and also to aged care homes, however people should seek their own clear legal advice on the matter or call the Fair Work Ombudsman on 13 13 94 from 8.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
The bottom line is: you have rights in the workplace and you should use those rights. As I said, under no circumstances should you resign if the boss tries to enforce a perhaps illegal ‘no jab, no job’ rule.
