My first question is were they not receiving ANY treatments such as Ivermectin or Hydroxychloroquine and zinc? Just nothing?

    _____________________________________________

No treatments allowed, just get over it yourself at home or go to hospital and get no treatments there. If you’re lucky you’ll die before they stick the hose down your throat.

Greg Hunt said that doctors can prescribe Ivermectin, but if they do that’s probably the last prescription they will ever write as they will be up for some bureaucratic investigation and lose their right to practice. Worse for them in Queensland, they will not only lose their livelihood, they will also get six months imprisonment.

Until Australia follows India, Indonesia, Mexico and other third world nations who told the WHO and Big Pharma to piss-off and treat the problem with anti-virals, we’ll be in perpetual lockdown and deaths and injuries from the disease and the vaccines.

We have been sold out by our politicians and health bureaucrats, there must be an accounting for this.

When That Woman told us we were not to speak to friends in the supermarket, everyone with half a brain knew it wasn’t to do with the flu. It was to stop people coordinating & rallying in any effective numbers.

BTW, the “Quilt Codes”, “Cloths Line Codes” etc. worked very well pre-electronic communication days. Harder these days of unit living & clothes dryers, but there are countless other way for physically separated people to communicate secretly.

That awful Newscorp rag, The Australian, has done a hit job on women.

In a sexist rant, it has smeared the reputations of Louise Milligan, Sally Neighbour, Laura Tingle, Annabel Crabb, Virginia Trioli, Fran Kelly, Sarah Ferguson and Patricia Karvelas.

Surely it is discriminatory to label them The Squad and accuse them of being a conga line of journalists who parrot the Canberra press gallery consensus, and being a political playground for staff.

I’d argue The Oz is racist in accusing Ita of cowering in the presence of ABC “stars” and executive producers who seem to really run the ABC.

Gender stereotypes abound in the article. Writing that the seduction of chairmen at the ABC became a performance art many years ago is probably against one of the myriad of laws the woke have forced on Australians.

And in asking in what universe, outside the ABC, would an employer stump up $200,000 to cover a defamation settlement and legal fees for an employee’s personal tweet, The Oz has broken through all boundaries of matriarchal support.

That the article is written by a female is no excuse for illegal, anti-ABC, non woke journalism. Janet Albrechtson should be immediately fired, her press credentials removed, and banned from all social media.

(For those who graduated from school in the last 10 years, all the above is written in a facetious tone. Google it.)

Chief health officer Dr Jeannette Young should be tapped on the shoulder and let go now – not in two months – after making the worst decision of her illustrious career.

It is clear her outstanding work in the early days of Covid-19 – keeping Queenslanders safe from the virus – is now in danger of being tarnished by recent poor judgment calls.

Monday’s decision by Dr Young to allow a planeload of NRL wives, girlfriends and NRL officials into Brisbane, direct from Covid-ravaged Sydney, was as poor a public policy judgment as any in recent Queensland political history.

How anybody within government gave it the green light is almost comical. The lack of empathy and compassion to the ordinary person has sparked white-hot anger.
After pouring her heart and soul into the pandemic response for 18 months, our Covid-19 decision-making needs fresh eyes.

What’s better than an afternoon game in brilliant sunshine with great crowds at small suburban grounds. The people who get to see the games live must be really enjoying themselves.

On the hypocricy front, it’s amusing to see players remove masks as they run onto the field, spend 80 minutes belting the heck out of each other with sweat and breath being exchanged willy nilly, and then mask up immediately after the game and socially distance the on-field interviewer.

One of the politicians asked him why governments use the “vaccines”, Zelenko said that either Bibi or Bennett would have been given a choice, a $500 Million secret bank account or death to their family, the “silver or lead” option.

You can watch the Israeli Health Minister’s response to that, he bowed his head and covered his face with his hands.

One of the politicians said that he had contracted Covid and used Zelenko’s treatment and fully recovered, Zelenko said that it’s unfortunate that the Israeli government denies this treatment to others.

    Dear Sir.
The Australian constitution clearly states that Laws regarding Quarantine must be made in the Commonwealth parliament, (Section 51)
The Australian Constitution clearly states that “When a law of a State is inconsistent with a law of the Commonwealth, the latter shall prevail, and the former shall, to the extent of the inconsistency, be invalid”. (section 109)
The Australian constitution clearly states that there is to be no discrimination by states based on where the subject of the Commonwealth lives (section 117)
We clearly have a Federal government that has put itself above the rule of law.
Your state government has clearly placed itself outside  the Constitution and therefore outside the rule of law, and this is criminal activity.
They are enforcing decrees our constitution deems invalid.
They are enforcing decrees against basic human rights declarations that Australia is a signatory to.
You are the Queen’s representative in this situation, and although it may not be your job to be involved in politics, it most definitely is your job to maintain the constitution and the rule of law.
You have not done so as yet.
The Australian people demand and expect you to do your job and bring these criminals back under our Constitution’s rule of Law.
    This is not about politics.
This is unconstitutional behaviour from a government you have constitutional power to control,  and your job is to uphold the Constitution which over rides and validates your state Constitution.
    Do your job.
By letting this continue, you are also in breach of the Australian Constitution, which is the Supreme law of our land.

That bastard who murdered Ashley Babbitt is a real piece of work; from a good article on the mongrel:

“Of all of the lines from Byrd, this one stands out:

“I could not fully see her hands or what was in the backpack or what the intentions are.”

So, Byrd admitted he did not see a weapon or an immediate threat from Babbitt beyond her trying to enter through the window.

Nevertheless, Byrd boasted, “I know that day I saved countless lives.”

He ignored that Babbitt was the one person killed during the riot. (Two protesters died of natural causes and a third from an amphetamine overdose; one police officer died the next day from natural causes, and four officers have committed suicide since then.)

No other officers facing similar threats shot anyone in any other part of the Capitol, even those who were attacked by rioters armed with clubs or other objects.

Legal experts and the media have avoided the obvious implications of the two reviews in the Babbitt shooting.

Under this standard, hundreds of rioters could have been gunned down on Jan. 6 — and officers in cities such as Seattle or Portland, Ore., could have killed hundreds of violent protesters who tried to burn courthouses, took over city halls or occupied police stations during last summer’s widespread rioting. In all of those protests, a small number of activists from both political extremes showed up prepared for violence and pushed others to riot. According to the DOJ’s Byrd review, officers in those cities would not have been required to see a weapon in order to use lethal force in defending buildings.”

They are going after the Judges. News from Portugal.

The lawyer makes a scary point. How could he help in a legal sense if the system is compromised. If Judges are coerced to “toe the line”, then the system is rooted. Makes you think what pressure would be applied to Judges here.

    Clip here.

THE ATTEMPT TO DESTROY THE RULE OF LAW IN PORTUGALAs we know, on Nov 11th the 3rd Chamber of the Lisbon Court of Appeal (Tribunal da Relação de Lisboa) confirmed the decision of the first degree court in Azores to grant the “habeas corpus” to some German tourists illegally deprived of their freedom, because in hotel room confinement ordered by a Government offical.
To this end, and very succinctly, the Court of Appeal of Lisbon understood the following:
    – The Regional Health Authority, I.P., lacks legitimacy, as well as an interest in acting, for the purpose of filing an appeal from the decision granting the “habeas corpus”;
    – Mandatory confinement, also sometimes referred to as prophylactic isolation, determined by a health authority, translates into an illegal deprivation of freedom, because against the provisions of article 27 of the Constitution;
    – The PCR test has a very high margin of error and is not a safe and valid tool of diagnosis, especially for the purpose of placing people in mandatory confinement.
Although it only echoes what the serious and independent scientific community says on the subject, the decision fell like a bomb on the official narrative, on the basis of which thousands of Portuguese have been thrown under house arrest (as long as they are not sent to Concentration Zones).
Quickly, official propaganda media (formerly known by media) emerged to realize that the Judges who delivered the decision were being subjected to disciplinary proceedings.
The Superior Council of the Judiciary (Conselho Superior da Magistratura) then hurried to deny the initiation of disciplinary proceedings against the Judges, adding, however, that the decision would be taken to the Council’s Plenary.
The CSM statement is obviously a blatant fallacy, in that:
    1) Someone from the CSM informed the official propaganda media about the decision to take the decision to Plenary;
    2) Pursuant to the combined provisions of articles 149, no. 1, paragraph a), and 151, paragraph a), of the Statute of Judicial Magistrates (Estatuto dos Magistrados Judiciais), the decision to initiate disciplinary proceedings against judge judges must be taken in Plenary.
This means that the official propaganda media was right (how could they not be, if the information could only have come from the CSM itself?).
In other words, the idea is effectively to institute disciplinary proceedings against the Judges who delivered the decision.
The Plenary of the CSM, in which a decision will be taken on the initiation of disciplinary proceedings, will take place on the Dec 2nd.
It is an unacceptable interference by an administrative branch in a sovereign body of the judicial power, aiming at the control of the latter, in what can be characterized as a violent blow to the rule of law.
    The message is sent out:
    – To the other courts and judges, in the sense that consequences may arise if they decide in the opposite direction to the official narrative;
    – To the citizens, in the sense that after all they cannot count on the independence of the courts and judges.
It is, therefore, extremely important that on the morning of the Dec 2nd we are all together in front of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, in Lisbon, demonstrating our solidarity with the Judges who delivered the brilliant and courageous decision of the Lisbon Court of Appeal of 11/11/2020.

My twitter account was cancelled for far less than what was in Mr. Mundine’s tweet.

Not only is my account cancelled, but if any other account logs in via my computer, that account is instantly & permanently suspended, no appeal.

If I want to look at any twitter link shown on Catallaxy, I have to use a separate laptop that is not in any way linked to me, or to any account (to any website) that I’ve ever used.

Some questions earlier in the thread, regarding formatting. If this helps ……

User Guide to commenting on the Cat, sans the buttons

1/ If you want to apply Bold or Italic to your comment, write/copy the comment/quote offline in your word processor (e.g., MS Word) and apply the formatting.

2/ Then paste that formatted comment/quote in the Comment Box.
The formatting styles are retained and will be displayed in your posted comment.

3/ If you are pasting a quote or passage from an article, you can indicate it with the use of the following  《……… 》

《 This is an article from the noosepaper.
You can copy these brackets and use them, free of charge. 》

Note: This manual formatting process may cost an extra minute of your life, for each comment. However, doing so makes it easier for the reader to follow the comment, especially the he said – she said- they said -I said- we said- and all the other confusions that can take place in forum discussions.

Of course, if all this seems too much, continue buttonless. 🙃

The “media blackout” is already underway. Try searching for stuff like the “truckie blockade”. Or protests. Apparently there were 500 odd arrests, but no protests.

Weird stuff also coming up about bank accounts being closed.

Look for “road closures” and traffic alerts.

Leave it alone egg. The Australian blogosphere has been dealing with some Melbourne pensioner spazzing out at commenters for 10+ years.

We need a break from that during this difficult time.

    Calm down  _egg.

You write some good stuff at times.
However you don’t have a happy record when it comes to recounting the content of past posts of others.

Ruprecht, say something original.  Or useful.  You never do.

You specialise in snark.  Perhsps you really are merely a Grig sock.  That wouldn’t surprise.  As I said, a pathetic sad sack.  Occasional fixated persons were a pain on the Old Cat and I am glad that by and large they do not migrate their acute spleen to the more discursive commentary on the Flash Cat.  There was a place for a range of commentary styles and issues on Sinc’s Cat, and he encouraged that because people got to know each other in a variety of ways, re personal experiences as well as political insights and sharing links and information.

There is some good commentary and useful links here, but sad to see it get lost because it’s tossed into a sock drawer.

Kaycee, I cried on reading ‘deux’, the heartbroken mother who lost her son to Biden’s stupidity and who was not comforted at all by his miserable constant watch-consulting presence when they brought his body home.
