For a laugh i thought id look at Vicpols manual.

I wonder how some of these square up with their actions, not least being the head basically saying ‘issue fines to everyone regardless of the reasons’..

    https://www.police.vic.gov.au/sites/default/files/2019-01/VPMP_ProfStand.pdf

    0/10:

    Integrity

Act with honesty, respecting the right of fair process for all
    • Maintain confidentiality and respect those we deal with
    • Demonstrate moral strength and courage
    • Behave with honour and impartiality

    ….

Backed up with an injunction you must be a good german.

    Commenting on political matters
    • You must not publicly comment on the administration of any government
department as a Victoria Police employee, see s.95, Constitution Act 1975.
    • During the performance of your duties you must:
    – observe strict neutrality in all matters connected with politics
    – not criticise the Government or any employee or act of the Government
    • You must not sign petitions or other applications concerning the administration of
government departments. When necessary, make representations on such
    subjects through a Department Head.

    ….

And, wonderfully, Vicpol have chosen to make sure you can only access their procedures if you pay for them.

Because thats great for transparency and in no way is used to ensure most people cant access their rights promptly and easily.

    ….

Victoria Police policies and procedures are published in the Victoria Police Manual (VPM). The VPM sets the behavioural, operational and administrative standards for the organisation and is divided in to Policy Rules, which provide mandatory accountabilities, and supporting Procedures and Guidelines.

The VPM is an electronic document and is available on disc for purchase by the public. You can purchase a single copy or an annual subscription by submitting an order form available below.

Food memories and I have many having travelled on business with husband to many countries . Paul Bocuse in the 70s before he was world famous  not that I remember the food so much as the experience . He met us at the doors  an old mill , with beautiful table settings ,white linen , silver and flowers all stunning . I have also organised small tour groups to Italy with an emphasis on food wine as well as history, art , music and staying mainly in places away from tourists . Pasta with porcini ,pasta fatta a casa and fresh porcini shown to diners in the basket first ,simple and delicious . Parmigiana , fava beans and 300 yr old balsamico with a charming Italian owner of the property . Near  Modena  Here we were discussing the rise of the Lega di nord who had held a huge rally in Venice. I have an Italian conversation class here when not in lockdown the other members also have spent a lot of time in Italy and guess what sooner or later we are talking about a delicious meal in a memorable place that we have experienced often with pictures.

Meanwhile the public forgets the Andrews government has not provided data provided data or evidence to support dubious restrictions such as curfews and playground closures other than throwaway lines at news conferences.

The public haven’t forgotten. They are just wondering why the media are not asking the governments (all of them), the hard questions that we expect the journalists and media to ask.

If the media need help with the issues that need answers, we can provide  them with a long list.

    Thanks Areff,

There is no mention of an exclusion of alternate treatments in that contract, just a statement which says the customer agrees to purchase the contracted amount regardless of what other treatments may be available.

If Australia signed a similar agreement, it’s possible that alternate treatments are denied as they would quite likely show that the government’s purchase was a waste of tax payer money.

So, it looks like our government and senior health bureaucrats prohibit the use of safe and inexpensive anti-virals to avoid showing how imbecilic they are.

I posted on the Flash-Cat this morning that the UK has a compensation scheme of around 225K pounds sterling for those who are very severely affected, like TPI or deaths.  If kept to those who won’t recover the numbers are very low and I don’t see why our Government should not do the same thing.  Means family don’t have to decide who has the vaxx and who takes the risk just in case, so that someone remains for the children.  It may be very unlikely, but that’s exactly what various insurance policies count on.  A govt one should be there for something the govt provides and hopes you use.

LONDON— AstraZeneca AZN 0.34% PLC said Friday it would seek regulatory approval for an antibody drug after a study showed strong efficacy in preventing symptomatic Covid-19, offering a potential new alternative to vaccines for people who refuse them or for whom they are less effective.

The development comes as drug companies look to roll out antibody drugs as additional tools to stem pandemic hospitalizations and deaths. While multiple Covid-19 vaccines were invented, tested and rolled out at unusually fast speeds, the development of antibody treatments and other reliable therapeutics has been slower, with more mixed results. But recently, antibody treatments have raised hopes as valuable tools to battle severe cases and reduce deaths.
