When the Premiers all agree to ban voluntary assisted homicide and abortion, I’ll take their sudden interest in the sacredness of life seriously.
Now the overweight asthmatic is on the tele every day lecturing people about their duty to their fellow man. Hypocritical turd.
============================= (easier than using stupid HTML tags..)

    Couldn’t agree more.
Note how all pronouncements from politicians, MSM and advertisers liberally and repeatedly use the word “community” in getting people to toe a particular line or believe some BS or other.

Guilt-tripping from the book of Marx.

As if I gave a flying fuck about my next-door neighbour and those beyond…
If they help, I’ll appreciate and repay the favour.
If they bother me, or my family, then I’ll hit back.

That is the extent of proper civility today.

As a medico, I work under a legal concept known as “duty of care” (DoC) to patients. A failure to duly demonstrate this is the basis for all medical negligence or malpractice actions, both from the Govt statutory Nazi oversight apparatus and the grievance lawyers.

What has been happening for some years now, however, is for health employers to imply that this DoC is an a-priori given, before I, a medical practitioner, has accepted the care of a patient.

Imagine that.. You are, emotionally, not legally, made to feel responsible for taking over patient care, someone’s ongoing health without first assessing their prior history of self-abuse, prior medical fuck-ups etc.. and whether your specialty/expertise can appropriately deal with any of it.

The so-called Quality Improvement systems in NSW Health are the battering rams for this idea.

I have had many arguments, some legal, pushing back against this cancerous trend. And, what do you know? Most medicos are indoctrinated, gutless sheep and don’t seem all that concerned.
Sleep-walking to the patible, the arrogant dumb-fucks.

For all this carry on in NSW they still haven’t ever had a day where they have hit 0.3% of tests being positive. This thing is fucking insane

Of course they will be telling themselves that the reason it has not hit 0.3% is because the lockdowns are working. The do not dare back away from them.

After all the debacles and disasters, the businesses washed away in a rising tide of authoritarian rule, the faltering economies limping along on their credit cards, social disruption, unnumbered personal tragedies, the terminally ill dying alone without family contact, the psychological damage to adults and children, the families fracturing and crumbling under the stress, the suicides, even the sight of half a dozen police thugs swooping on an elderly lady trying to catch her breath on a park bench – but this 0.3% is the only thing that they can ‘claim’ as a success as a final fig leaf.

In fact there is no proof that it is as simple as ‘lockdowns’ working in such a straightforward way (although keeping people separate will obviously reduce chances for infection), nor is it a matter that even that the 0.3% is putting such strain on us that we can’t let it creep up.

For the political class the vaccine is their ‘out’. They can wind back restrictions without looking like they made a mistake. They cannot bring themselves to come clean, so they want us to help them cover up their own messes – and be thankful for it.

A doctor in a hospital can’t refuse a medicare patient; otherwise their discretion to refuse treatment is filtered by the usual human rights tropes, race, sex, gender etc. To avoid possible recrimination I would advise any doctor to not give a reason for refusal of treatment or plead non-specialty which would be hard because of the specialist referral system and generic treatment prior to a specialist’s involvement

Barnaby Joyce has been denied entry to Canberra after the NSW regional city of Armidale went into lockdown.

The ACT health authorities told Joyce he can’t attend parliament, which is sitting for four days this week, after stay-at-home orders were imposed on the Armidale Regional Council local government area.

So the far left Labor ACT local council, has explained that the deputy prime minister isn’t allowed to attend parliament in the Commonwealth’s government’s own territory because of the safety of Commonwealth public servants who live there, or something.

Given Barnaby’s outburst last week about pro-vaccine passport and allowing normal people being banned from businesses I say suck shit you family abandoning fag.

But the broader issue comes into focus: Because 30 years ago Labor gave control of that little territory over to a an ‘independent’ separate government – forcing it on an unwilling populace in Canberra, and the dumb fuck Liberals never abolished it took it back, Labor now can ban the deputy prime minister, and any Australians they like, from entering the Australian Capital Territory.

Sadly, they don’t only say it in court.
All over ‘Social Media’ we have discussion killers, narrative controllers who, while they’ll fill public forums with reams of their own observations & opinions to sell belief in certain lines, come down like a tonne of bricks on anyone sharing a personal view contrary to their consensus narrative, demanding immediate “PROOF” of all assertions or an unqualified retraction.
It’s particularly galling considering they all know “PROOF” on the internet still isn’t proof in the real world, let alone a court of law, ah but sadly, it’s still a winning gambit against the average Joe, for well practiced teams of professional propagandists.

I noticed they missed the “I dont trust the government to give away free grog to sailors and they are deliberately killing preople/businessess with lockdowns”…

    or

“Why are there still people over 60/in nursing homes who are the onres most at risk unvaxed?
Why are you pushing the vax down the age groups where chance of death is negligable”?

    or
“Why have you continued to disregard your own pandemic policies which explicitly ruled out a lot of the ‘controls” you have in place”.

    or
“Why have you treated covid as the highest level of disease outbreak (as per your pandemic plan) when it doesnt meet the criteria you set?

The narrative controllers are hard at work. This morning there was a story on new.com.au where Katie Hopkins gave her version of what happened to get thrown out of the country, totally contrary to the official version. The story has now vanished instead of just moving down the page. It didn’t put the authorities in a favourable light at all.
    —————————————–

Unsurprising…it was deliberately orchestrated by progressives to get her booted out of the country and so the usual coalition morons…such as Bumblebee Joyce and that moron Karen Andrews…fell for it hook line and sinker.

I’m so enjoying the schadenfreude of Bumblebee being banned from the ACT.

    Thanks Rickw.

As Cassie points out above, “money” has been offered before. But that’s not what I am talking about. Simply offering money doesn’t, by itself, accomplish or alleviate anything.

Does anyone know someone “in the trade” so to speak who could provide a reasonable idea of what needs to be done, and what it will cost? That is, along the lines of a quote? Someone capable of doing the job? Armed with that info and with funds pledged if not actually forwarded, we can approach Adam.

That is very different to simply offering Adam a wad of cash and saying “goodonya mate – go for it”. Such bonhomie doesn’t actually reduce his workload at all.

    ====================================

Correct if one presents to an ED or referred to a clinic, having previously been vetted and triaged as appropriate for that clinic.

I was referring to having to accept inter-hospital referrals without adequate information, on-the-say-so of the buff-n-turf merchants from St Elsewhere’s.
The unstated reason for this was, of course, maintaining full bed occupancy, since Federal funds come with patients.
Then when there’s a problem, as inevitably there will be, the Clinical Review or Root Cause Analysis process starts.
The general experience now is that hospital management and patients are never at fault.
It’s always a “Systems” problem, which puts the onus on the medical/nursing staff to review and fix.
That wasn’t the case 10-15 years ago.

The main consolation is that the doctors/nurses complicit in this travesty will eventually get the regulatory pineapple stuck up their sigmoid.

Technically, it’s no more than an hour or two of work to install the right plugins and clean up the current mess… if you know what you’re doing.

The main problem is ongoing moderation, and that’s not a job you would pay someone to do for a site as small as this with no revenue.

    Yes we did.
money is not the problem, M0nty offered help and he could fix it an no time at all, but you can’t help those who refuse it.

As it is the forum is not an attractive one, not for me anyway.
I don’t even want anyone banned, just remove the really offensive posts.

There were some really ugly ones where individuals here were accused of, albeit, indirectly but by association being responsible for the starvation of the German population.
    That is not free speech.
Nothing was done about it, moderation is what is needed.

In other news I have already had responses from two legal firms that secialise in workers compensation cases. I n their opinion it is quite cut and dried:

Where an employee or potential employee is required by an employer to obtain a medical procedure (ie the Covid vax) as a condition of employment or continued employment, and the employee subsequently suffers illness or injury as a result, they would be entitled to payment under workers compensation provisions.

Perhaps someone should tell the employers insisting on workers being vaxxed, that they are opening a Pandora’s Box that both the Federal and State governments have quietly distanced themselves from, and have indemnified the manufacturers and providers against.

Part of a larger email I received today. May be of interest to other Cats.

With the Australian market having 679k unemployed and a demand of 362K+ open vacancies the question is, without a flood of new talent coming in from overseas, is the supply of talent even available to accommodate open roles? Compounding this potential issue is the volume of people leaving Australia due to government lockdowns.

So far, over 500k temporary migrants have left Australian shores for governments who are more accommodating. This is a critical labour force for Australia. This temporary workforce is executing many of the roles the country takes for granted such as catering services, fruit picking and shelf stacking in the supermarkets and retail.

These temporary migrants are leaving the country as they feel the government let them down during lockdowns re fiscal support, coupled with the overly governed visa
processes. Many of these temporary workers fulfil a huge need re servicing lower paid roles in the short-term yet have the potential to quickly add value in the skilled sectors over the long-term if residency is secured, as many have good educations and experience in other markets. This trend is evident in the numbers.

Part time employment is well off the previous highs and out of sync with both the records achieved in May for total employed and permanent employment labour. This trend of skills migrating out of the country could result in inflationary pressure as
industries are forced to pay more for transactional labour in their operations. For agriculture, it could simply mean much product gets wasted as there are not enough resources available to harvest, resulting in less product being available on supermarket shelves and in turn adding to inflationary pressure.

The trend for skills leaving Australia will not end. Vaccine passports and forever quarantining of the non-vaccinated (possibly vaccinated too) will also cause many families to leave Australia to be closer to their overseas relations.

Unless there is a huge mind shift in Covid policy, Australia’s economic future is looking very uncertain. It will no longer just be at the mercy of its crude exports; it may also be at the mercy of a labour shortage that is permanent. This could result in many businesses pulling out of the market altogether as wage inflation and a lack of talent place more pressure on a market which has a population of 25M and heading backwards.
