Testing Cats memories . Last year I posted a story about friend’s neighbour , a quantas pilot , who had been stood down . A few weeks later he was back flying plane loads of Chinese interstate . I tried to investigate what was going on and another friend knew an airport worker who reported that late at night Chinese were arriving at Tullamarine , this was when airport was closed down for most travellers.
Tried another avenue and still no luck all I got from two different sources that something was happening.

    F the community.
When the Premiers all agree to ban voluntary assisted homicide and abortion, I’ll take their sudden interest in the sacredness of life seriously.

Immediately prior to COVID, there was a (now forgotten) national scandal in this country about how we – as a ‘community’ – treat the elderly like leprous dogs. Then COVID; suddenly the young and middle-aged – most especially the laptopper class – became poignantly and unctuously concerned about the aged.

In 2019, Brad Hazzard ostentatiously led the charge for liberalising NSW abortion laws. They didn’t actually need liberalising, of course, but the end result was a more legally uncomplicated licence for abortionists to kill people. Now the overweight asthmatic is on the tele every day lecturing people about their duty to their fellow man. Hypocritical turd.

14-19% of the population are vaccinated and listen already to the rhetoric against people who aren’t.

Imagine what they’re going to do when they get the numbers.

It’s a simple matter: if there is a single unvaccinated person living their life happily, that that person exists as a constant reminder that the ‘decision’ the vaccinated person made, the ultimate unreversible decision, may have been the wrong one, if not physically, then mentally. So that unvaccinated person must be ‘nudged’, harrassed, banned and eradicated from view, that is the driving force behind much of modern society and especially this.

Behaviour Change Unit, in partnership with PHE
and Warwick Business School Optimising Vaccination Roll Out – Dos and Don’ts for all messaging, documents and “communications” in the widest sense

Yep, and it’s not for nothing that anyone baulking against or questioning any of those, “opinion changing tools”, gets instantly, personally abused by more than a few. Still, they are ready to come out & hit us even harder –

It is crucial the first phase is successful as it will impact on the behaviours and uptake of future phases
We need to convert 2 in every three of the undecided and protect those who are already willing
This will take more than logistics and simple messaging
A behavioural approach can enhance impact as part of the programme

With some notable exceptions – Hi Sinc! – it’s been some decades since teaching at a university was an indicator that the person concerned could be sassumed to be a sound thinker. Further, in Van Onselen’s case his academic career could hardly be described as stellar – an associate professor of “politics” & then a professor of “journalism” in WA and now professing “policy” at Griffith in Brisbane. That is not the CV of a disciplined, first class thinker. “Political editor” at Channel 10 is no doubt a good fit, though.

Min , I believe it’s going to get violent and soon.
I am not in a locked down area although I still consider being unable to go interstate of overseas that I’m being held prisoner by criminals, however it’s not as bad here as elsewhere.
I can’t imagine the thought of all those millions locked down in Sydney putting up with too much more of this.
Think of all the angry Lebs, let alone the young blokes out there not emasculated entirely.
And the people will actually be starting to get hungry now.
Think that out of five or six million there will soon be at least a million that would rip the throat out of both Sco Mo and Gladys.
    And deservedly so.
The bad government of Australia has held this country back for decades and decades, and it needs a good clearing out.
This country has had it too good and let them grow and become powerful and corrupt….and traitorous. Lessons need to be learned.
Aussies have certain characteristics and it’s going to be amusing to watch.
Once they wake up to what is being done to them, and their trust in government is gone…..watch out.
When they start feeling the pain that trust has caused them.
Once they feel BETRAYED, watch out.
Australians don’t have many redeeming features, but one they do have is inventiveness and that’s worth watching, because it’s brilliant when you see it.
I’ve done plenty of coach tours around Australia with all nationalities coming together and becoming one tribe.
Aussies and NZ er’s to some degree are problem solvers and it’s a joy to behold.
Don’t give up yet, min…what is about to happen , needs to happen.
Australians take politeness to such a strange degree, and privacy especially regarding politics, that they feign ignorance, but not all are.
Once they’re made to expose their politics, once they’re forced to declare their hand, then all bets are off.
Please don’t be too depressed, it’s not over yet.
The boys in the bush have hardly been harassed yet.
They won’t take kindly too it.
The cities may have been purposefully over run by cultures compliant, but that’s not everywhere.
The revolution will be full of hate, but full of humour.
    Do not despair.
We just need to break the propaganda, and I think that is starting to happen.
Lefties don’t like being locked down either.
Twitter shows me they are already acting defeated when confronted.
    It’s only the start.
But I’m hearing radio announcers charged with spreading the propaganda, start sounding sheepish.
They know they are talking shit.
Revel in the fight…get stuck in.
We have a chance to fight evil.
It’s all in how you look at it.

The present “Liberal” party is a shallow husk of what it once was. Their actions now are objectively indistinguishable from Labor, and this makes me weep.

Tomorrow, I will be joining other ex Libs like Campbell Newman and formally submitting my application of membership (as an o/s supporter) to the Liberal Democrats, who happen to actually believe in all the things the Liberal Party says it believes in, and I strongly urge you all to do the same.

How does one respect a decision anyway?

Ganging up on a person to abuse them for the decision does not show respect.

Is that a bit like demanding people “punch a Nazi” (defined as someone with whose decisions you disagree)? Does Ante-fa “gang up” on others to “abuse” them?

How about we relieve the burden on Adam D a little bit and chuck some money in to pay to have Cat #2 finished off professionally? Adam has done an almost miraculous job so far but when it comes to something like this, the devil is in the detail and it can get very time consuming doing the final tweaks.

I’m happy to kick in $100 to get the ball rolling, more if necessary. Is there someone prepared to be banker? Someone whose identity is already known would not be disclosing anything new. Cardimona? Custard?

To top it off, no one dared pull them up, but many nodded along.

I doubt very much whether any of the proponents of moving this rock are experts either — or even familiar with the usage of the phrase. Male trees aren’t making hayfever worse. Trees are actually ‘super queer’, scientist explains (Pink News, 5 Aug)

The theory is that cities are planting only “male trees” because capitalism doesn’t want people to get free fruit from “female trees”. Therefore, TikTokers have been declaring that “male trees” are producing too much pollen with “no females to fertilise”.

Although it is tempting to blame hayfever on capitalism, a crop scientist has taken to Twitter to debunk the claim.

Dr Sarah Taber created a Twitter thread to help people understand “tree sex ed” 101.

Queer trees and racist rocks, can the 21stC get any stupider? Or are we at bottom now?

Gladys mentioned there were problems in Sydney with people going to mall for groceries and meeting up with other family members then standing around drinking coffee and talking . Non English speakers and cultural differences what Dan did here slapped lockdown immediately on towers where they lived but with appalling contact tracing so took ages to bring down numbers .

Whilst I don’t think that the events of September 2015 has helped the Liberal party in any way, I would argue that the rot set in a long time before Abbott was knifed and that Abbott himself, along with Howard, also shoulders some responsibility for the woeful state of the current Liberal Party.

    yet another discord

I have setup yet another Catallaxy discord, that is

    a) open to the public
    b) moderated

while the current discord is seemingly unmoderated and by invite only, although not hard to find the invite, it quickly devolves into a slanging match which is quite frankly boring. Sure if you like that sort of stuff then the current discord is for you.

Same with all the current blogs. Again if you want a slanging match to have to scroll through I am sure it serves its purpose. Discord is basically a chat app, if you like chatting with other Cats but don’t want to be trolled then this is what this new discord is for you.

The rules for the new discord are no harassment or personal abuse. The idea of free speech is that some ideas are offensive, be offended, so what, defend your ideas or topics. A little bit of banter is fine so long as you know the person. Otherwise harassment will get you kicked off in the first instance and repeat offenders will be banned.

I will grant the right to kick people off the forum to a few long term cats. People kicked off can return, repeat offenders will be banned by ip address and email address.

Catallaxy is a supposed to be a libertarian not an anarchist forum, that means there are rules not outright anarchy.

current rules which I will tweak over time

    #no personal harassment
    #no doxxing
    #no unmasking
    #no spam
    #no libel
    #no anti-semitism

posts that are libellous, dox or unmask any members will be deleted and offenders banned.
