It’s not “the government” we are at war with, Calli. It’s the parliament.

It is important to make the distinction. Otherwise, next election – if we have one – people will just vote for the other side of the coin and think they are accomplishing something.

I disagree. Parliament, such as it is, is being steered by unelected officials. The PM defers to the Premiers. In NSW, Glad defers to Kerry who defers to “experts”. Mirrored across the country.

Parliament has abrogated its responsibility to the electorate. Elected ministers are simply figureheads being turned this way and that by their departments. It has always been the case, it has just taken an “emergency” to put the whole sham into sharp relief. Voting doesn’t matter any more. The place is stuffed.

Forget dementia, the numbers quoted are risible, statistical BS.
A far bigger problem is antihypertensive-treatment-induced postural hypotension. Many, many more geriatrics present to EDs with cracked skulls, hips and subdural haemorrhages from falls due to inappropriate blood pressure treatment than become demented from ALL causes.

‘Researchers’ have deliberately corrupted the clinical trial into long term effects of the Moderna and Pfizer ‘vaccines’ by telling everyone if they have the placebo or not:

Long-Term Studies Of COVID-19 Vaccines Hurt By Placebo Recipients Getting Immunized

when the clinic called her in January and offered to reveal her actual vaccine status it was an easy call for her.

They then all went and got vaccinated bar “a couple”.

now Fierro has essentially no comparison group left for the ongoing study.

    As result:

We don’t know how long protections lasts,” he says. “We don’t know efficacy against variants — for which we definitely need a good control arm — and we also don’t know if there are any differences in any of these parameters by age or race or infirmity.

See how the pharma new drug / vaccine approval sausage is made.

The media will lie that the ‘clinical trials’ are fine, the FDA will pretend that the corrupted trial is good enough, the TGA will obediently follow suit.

    This is getting completely insane.

More than 10,000 people, including about 400 health workers, are in home quarantine and will remain so regardless of any announcements on Sunday.

“I thank every single one of those people for persisting,” Dr Young said. “This is going to be a lengthy time for some of those people, because as each person in the household becomes positive, quarantine then extends for another 14 days from that point going forward.”

The pressure on supermarkets for home delivery in hard-hit western suburbs such as Taringa, Indooroopilly and St Lucia meant some isolating families were still waiting up to three days for essentials

The government’s solution to it banning 10000 perfectly health familied from getting ‘essentials’?

Deputy Premier Steven Miles said people having trouble getting timely delivery of their groceries should ask friends from lesser-impacted suburbs to ‘click and collect’ from different supermarkets and have them drop the orders at their doors.

Ask your friends to go get them for you.

  52. rocinante says:

On the contrary Diogenes, it is EVERYTHING about “party”.

At the federal level the (Liberal) government could not be deceiving the public as they are, if there was a vocal (Labor) opposition. Reverse the parties in the same statement for the various Labor state governments.

The simple truth is that Liberal, Labor and National together occupy 144 of the 151 seats in the HoR, and 61 of the 76 sets in the Senate. That’s a total of 201 of the 227 places at the pig trough otherwise known as “parliament”.

The single most important thing to these pigs is maintaining the snouts in the feed trough. Everything else is secondary to that goal, even party loyalty. Number them LAST on the ballot form, and you endanger their place at the trough.

Other than voting AGAINST your sitting member by numbering them LAST, you can vote FOR anybody you like in any order you like. Although voting for SHY in the HoR might prove a bit difficult.

The Taliban has seized the stronghold of a notorious Afghan warlord, the second provincial capital to fall to the insurgents in under 24 hours.

The deputy governor of Jawzjan province told AFP he was with government forces who had abandoned Sheberghan city and retreated to the airport on its outskirts, where they were preparing to defend themselves.

The city is home to warlord Abdul Rashid Dostum, who only returned to Afghanistan this week from medical treatment in Turkey, but is currently in Kabul.

Aides said he was meeting with President Ashraf Ghani Saturday in an attempt to persuade the country’s leader to fly in reinforcements.

Haven’t scanned yet, so not sure if it has already been referenced, but there is a great article at Quadrant On-Line by Peter Smith about the abrogation of responsibility to unelected bureaucrats by our elected “representatives”. He focuses on the CHOs/CMOs, but the principle is much wider.

This despicable process started back around the 1970s, when politicians decided to give politically difficult decisions to “independent”, “non-partisan” bodies, the AAT possibly being one of the first. Since then there has been a plague of anti-discrimination, immigration decision, curriculum development and similar bodies which take essentially political decisions, allowing those actually elected to take such decisions to hide behind a shield of unaccountable bureaucrats.

Going back to the subject of the article, imagine (if you still have to) putting unchecked power into the hands of narrow minded types like Grigoogle and Perry the Very Tedious One power, not just over health, but over every aspect of governance.

That is where a couple of generations of elected “representatives” have placed us. Time to tell them to sh1t or get off the pot, instead of delegating their bowel movements to narrow “specialists”.

    ATAGI (who constantly change recommendations for AZ based on what the Govt needs);

    “Do COVID-19 vaccines cause infertility?
There is no scientific evidence to support this. None of the COVID-19 vaccines currently under review by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) cause sterilisation/infertility.

The TGA will not approve a vaccine for use in Australia unless it is safe and effective. This includes impacts on fertility.”

    There is no scientific evidence……

Has there been clinical trials specifically to answer this question?

    UChicago medicine May 12;
“Have the COVID-19 vaccines been tested in pregnant or breastfeeding people?
Pregnant people were not specifically included in the clinical trials; this is due to historical restrictions on including those who are pregnant in clinical trials. While the vaccine manufacturers do plan to conduct these clinical trials at a later date, they are currently focused on completing the first Phase 3 trials and distributing vaccines under the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). Pfizer/BioNTech has also stated that they are conducting DART studies in animal models to determine if there are any negative side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine in pregnancy; these studies are frequently used to make determinations about what medical treatments should be offered to pregnant people in the absence of human clinical trial data. Verbal reports of the data thus far have not indicated any safety concerns. Moderna submitted data from a DART study in rats to the FDA on December 4, 2020 that concluded there were no adverse effects of a standard mRNA vaccine dose on female reproduction, fetal development or postnatal development. Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine uses an inactive adenovirus (the virus that causes the common cold) as the carrier of instructions to the cell to make copies of the spike protein. This technology has been used for many years and reassuring safety data exists for over 200,000 people. This type of vaccine has also been safely used in infants and children for RSV and Ebola.

During the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine clinical trials, 23 people became pregnant after receiving the vaccine. As far as physicians are aware, there have been no adverse effects yet reported in those people, but more data is required. The CDC is also collecting additional monitoring data through their smartphone app, V-safe, to solicit reports of side effects following vaccination. The CDC reported on January 27, 2021 that about 30,000 pregnant people had already enrolled in the registry. The CDC Covid-19 Vaccine Task Force in the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices released an update on March 1, 2021. In the enrolled population, there have been 275 completed pregnancies, including 232 live births. The registry shows no difference in miscarriage, stillbirth, pregnancy complications, and neonatal outcomes between background rates and pregnant vaccinated individuals. Vaccine safety data will continue to be collected for pregnant people and follow-up is planned for the first year of infant life.”

    Word salad.

No. There have not been completed proper registered clinical trials with pregnant women and we see some “info” on rat testing and women registered via the CDC app. Scientific and clinical evidence doesn’t exist because the testing has yet to be done.

Short answer : We don’t know , but get the jab anyway because everyone (Big Pharma, CDC, WHO, Govts, CHO’s etc all say so)

    That’ll piss rocinante off.

As noted by Mr Panzer, an immediate ‘suture rupture’ has now occurred.

I now await a topper-fest of medical conditions versus psych conditions.

    ‘I went to doll hospital.’
    ‘Well I’ve had ten strokes.’
    ‘Ooooooh you are naughty.’
‘Not those strokes. The medical strokes.’
‘I’m conversing with another man. I want him to contact me privately.’
    ‘My stitches just ruptured.’

We never really get to see who these mythical ‘contact tracers’ are do we? Sure, 18 months ago it was likely a group of post retirement RN’s with a whiteboard, post-it notes and a fax machine. But now who are they, do any Cat’s know? Crack teams of Covid savants?

I’m assuming 18 months has now been plenty of time for the usual spivs to set up contact tracing companies to bid for unusually generous contracts, perhaps not ‘indigenous’ contact tracing enterprises just yet though.

Greater Sydney residents exploit lockdown loopholes and meet up at shopping centres (7 Aug)

Non-compliance has been an ongoing issue during the latest Delta outbreak in New South Wales which triggered the state’s second lockdown.

Police Deputy Commissioner Gary Worboys slammed illegal catch ups which exploited stay-at-home exemptions and breached COVID-19 guidelines.

“What we are seeing is people using that reasonable excuse to go out and purchase food, takeaway, coffee, to then go on and collocate and gather for an extended period of time,” he said.

Under the current restrictions people are only allowed to leave their house to purchase food or essential goods, to provide or receive care, to exercise and to attend work or study.

However, Mr Worboys said some people were purchasing food and then throwing a picnic or congregating around butcher’s shops, fruit and vegetable shops.

“That is where you will contract the virus and you will take it home to your household and your family,” he said.

A high level of non-compliance has been observed by police in Canterbury-Bankstown and Campsie triggering a police crackdown set to take place over the next two days.

Canterbury-Bankstown is now ground zero for Greater Sydney’s outbreak with 92 cases identified within the local government area on Friday.

No way she’s going to get compliance either, unless she stops tippy-toeing, which she dare not do because the screech of “raaacist!!” would be heard on Mars. Nor am I seeing any media articles from religious leaders saying their people should comply either, but then I don’t look at the local Canterbury-Bankstown non-English news sites.
