I’ll take a look at this bill this week, and address the Equality Legislation Amendment (LGBTIQA+) Bill 2023 in next week’s column.

Was it a WPX orange error message screen?

I’ve had these error messages with missing comments a number of times. Most likely, it is some word or link that WordPress doesn’t like. After some experimentation, I have worked out two solutions.

1/ When the error screen appears, click the Refresh button on the browser. This should bring back the error screen with a Retry button. Click the Retry button and the comment should get through.

2/ Another option is to click the Back button on the browser and it brings back the comment box with the comment still sitting there. Then click the Post Comment button and it should get through.
If the error message is back, use the first option above.

Qatar decision slammed by farmers raring to export meat to Middle East
Farmers say they are collateral damage in the federal government’s decision to block the bid by Qatar Airways for 28 extra flights per week, arguing there are limited avenues to expand exports of fresh boxed meat into the lucrative Middle East market at a time they remain below pre-COVID levels.
With the Albanese government facing a mounting political storm over the decision, sheep producers say there has been a failure to appreciate the ramifications of the decision on exporters who were already fighting for air freight space.
Australian lamb exports are on track for a record year according to the Meat and Livestock Association, with most of the produce shipped frozen by sea to key overseas markets including China, the US, South Korea and the Middle East.
But the industry relies on the availability of cargo hold space in passenger planes to transport premium chilled meat into the Middle East, where consumers prefer fresh rather than frozen meat.
Fletcher International Exports founder Roger Fletcher, one of Australia’s biggest exporters of lamb and sheep meat, said the “bellies of jets is the best way for us to take high-priced premium product”.
Lawyer for women strip searched in Qatar urges Labor to give airline no quarter on bid
“The more jets we’ve got in the air, the better the chance for farmers to open up more markets. You can’t take on more contracts if you can’t get the space,” Fletcher said.
He said farmers were “jostling to get whatever space we can”
Western Australian sheep farmer Bindi Murray, who was in Canberra last week as part of a delegation of farmers lobbying the government about Labor’s pledge to eventually phase out the live export trade, said the impact of the Qatar decision on exporters had been lost in the focus on the hit to tourism and soaring airfares.

His fate sealed with a kiss

Luis Rubiales, the suspended head of the Spanish soccer federation, finally folded under immense pressure Sunday and resigned three weeks after his kiss of a player on the lips overshadowed Spain’s first-ever Women’s World Cup title.

Rubiales had been at the center of a controversy that had gone far beyond Spain’s borders and the world of sport after he kissed Jenni Hermoso during the globally televised awards ceremony after Spain beat England to win the title on Aug. 20 in Sydney, Australia. The player said the kiss was without her consent.

“After my swift suspension by FIFA, and the rest of the cases building against me, it is clear that I cannot return to the post,” Rubiales said on Sunday in a message posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

    Lezzoball for the lezzos.

MH, I was listening to BBCworld the other night and they interviewed a Dem supporter. She said she slept better at night just knowing Biden was at the helm and making America a better country.

Joshua Thomson SC, Solicitor-General of Western Australia, is batting for the women. What a guy! You gels are so lucky.
“Several candidates will likely reach a threshold level of merit, in which case there must be a means of selecting the most appropriate candidate between them. This will depend on various factors including whether the candidate’s appointment would increase the diversity of the court.” By diversity he means more women. From today’s OZ.
Seems there is a threshold for judges below “the best”, so it will be a “between the legs” decision. On ya Josh. If not the genitals, then what are those factors Josh. Now be careful Josh, I am sure you believe men and women are the same.

Should PM Albanese be referred to the National Anti-Corruption Commission over Qantas? – 6.09.23 – Senator Rennick – 5 mins.

Regarding Qantas ghosting flights, that happened to me a few years ago. I had a function to attend in Sydney on a set date several months in advance so I booked my flight with Qantas’s Jetstar a few months early to get the best prices with the advantage of a longer booking time.

I had booked a late morning flight to arrive in Sydney just after rush-hour traffic had cleared (flying from Perth), and just a week or so before departure I got an email from Jetstar (Qantas) saying that my flight had been cancelled and they had transferred me to the overnight midnight flight.

I rang them and asked for another booking and all they could offer was other midnight flights on other days, or cancel the flight and get your money back. With such a short time to my departure date, all other airlines had been fully booked unless I wanted to pay a premium and fly business class which is beyond my means.

So I had to take that midnight flight which was completely full with a lot of other unhappy passengers, I assume they were all conned into booking the same ghost flight I was scheduled to fly on.

I haven’t flown with Qantas since that incident and won’t use them again.

It’s more than just government and corporations, the unions are in it too. The ACTU is a member of the UN International Labour Organisation which answers to the WEF.

So, the government decrees that everyone should get a jab of some experimental concoction to please their corporate masters, and the unions won’t offer any support to their members who don’t want the jab.

It’s all one big party and you aren’t in it.

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin (R) has pardoned the Loudoun County father who protested his daughter’s rape in a school bathroom by a transgender student, and her public school’s attempted cover up of the incident, Youngkin’s office announced Sunday.

The parent, Scott Smith, was charged with obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct in June of 2021 and convicted in August 2021 after he raged on school officials in a viral video.

I’m pleased to grant Scott Smith a pardon. He is a dedicated Loudoun County father who was wrongfully prosecuted and convicted for standing up for his daughter at a 2021 Loudoun County School Board meeting after she was sexually assaulted at school.

    Well done, that man.

Won’t cost him a single vote, but may well gain some. Standing up to Dimmocrat thuggery – if only more RINOs had the guts to do it.

In case you missed it: introducing “the autonomous electric abra“. A formerly charming small passenger transport boat (abra), now created by 3D printing and no driver. Yep Dubai. NO CARBON EMISSIONS (well… except for manufacture, battery, charging and disposal, and what the, now out of work, driver is doing..)
    Another step forward for civilisation.

It’s got “obstacle detection capabilities” WOW. Allah be praised.

I wonder what “October Surprise’ will be in da Voice. You can bet the Yes will pull something. It is full of young PR types. They know that a last minute pull of the heart strings will sway a lot of votes. It has to be last minute so there can be no discussion and it has to be emotional. We could have a sweepstake on this. It could either be positive e.g. poor young wide eyed children pleading for a yes future or negative e.g. some maniac raving to vote No.
