‘Further north, capacity at Burrendong Dam in the NSW Macquarie Valley has risen to 109 per cent overnight, pushing the storage into the flood surcharge zone.

However, Burrendong Dam has a capacity of 150 per cent, which means that no change to the current low rate of water releases will be required.’

Reminds me of Wivenhoe Dam reports circa late 2010.
A couple of months later they did an emergency release, putting Brisbane underwater.

Cornell University Offers Tampons & Pads in Men’s Restroom, Calling Them “Mxnstrual Products”

Apparently, Cornell University is now offering what it refers to as “Mxnstrual Products” – tampons and pads – in men’s restrooms at the university. Outside of the absurdity of tampons in a men’s bathroom, the use of the imaginary word “Mxnstrual” to describe menstrual products was due to the real word “menstrual” being deemed a “gendered term.”

‘Germany’s vaccine advisory board on Wednesday recommended against using Moderna’s Covid-19 shot in people under 30 due to evidence suggesting a very small risk of heart inflammation, joining France and a string of other European countries restricting the vaccine as coronavirus cases across the continent soar to record levels.’

2nd grader suspended 38 times for not wearing her mask…

    And she’s back ……

You can suspend me again for not wearing a mask, I don’t care, I’m still not going to wear one. I hope you all go to jail for doing this to me. And my family is proud of me.

Personal, home, cyber security and YOU

I have written many times about steps to take to protect yourself and family.

In light of recent allegations about a priest having illegal material on a computer, I am reminded of incidents with priests who were accused of doing bad things with computers and internet only to be found innocent because their wifi security was bad and someone had hacked it.

    Everyone has to be careful.

    It’s always someone else… until it’s you.

The dam’s capacity includes 1,188,000 megalitres of water storage and a potential 489,000 megalitres of air space for flood mitigation.

    In theory?

No, Joe Biden Did Not Refer to Satchel Paige as a ‘Negro’ During Veterans Day Speech

Why would fact checkers say this when anyone can jump on line and see that Brandon did call Satchel Paige a negro that played in the negro leagues.

I was looking forward to talking to students at the Cambridge Union this Friday, but I hear that someone there has been blacklisted for doing an impersonation of Hitler.

I regret that I did the same on a Monty Python show, so I am blacklisting myself before someone else does

Those arseholes in the NT government have warned businesses ‘not to look for loopholes’ while issuing amendments to the rules less than a day before the hammer comes down:

On Thursday, a number of amendments to the CHO directions were published online, tightening the requirements around vaccine exemptions and clarifying the rules around subcontracted workers and volunteers.

While some business are resigned to losing staff when the mandate takes effect, others have been seeking ways to work around the requirement, which can include the redeployment of staff into back-office roles.

With less than a day’s notice, you can become subject to thousands of dollars in fines.

This COVID thing has caused governments to become drunk with power – just issue an ‘order’ under the heading of Da Pandemic and you can get away with anything.
