    Can’t read the Australian’s take on Newspoll.

    But I’m not convinced the polling is much about Nats and net zero.
    More about a big sector of Australians frightened by unemployment and harassed into taking the vaccination, people anxious about the health aspects, people worried about implications of government control. A whole of things making citizens feel anxious and unsupported.

    There’s no-one much supporting these people, except for Craig Kelly.
    Sadly, I’m not sure but Clive Palmer might have some other motives for UAP and has already done tacit agreements with a major party. Not convinced about his genuineness. Hard to know.

    ‘The Australian reports the latest Newspoll has Labor leading 54-46, out from 53-47 three weeks ago, from primary votes of Coalition 35% (down two), Labor 38% (up one), Greens 11% (steady) and One Nation 3% (up one). Scott Morrison is down two on approval to 46% and up one on disapproval to 50%, while Anthony Albanese is steady on approval at 37% and down one on disapproval to 46%. Morrison leads 48-34 as preferred prime minister, out marginally from 47-34. More to follow.’

    When the chatter about the carbon tax and sequestration and sinks with farms being set aside for these off-sets began back in about 2009 I remember going to meetings where farmers turned up salivating at the prospect of inner city green bureaucrats and pollies giving them wads of cash NOT to farm.

    Never get between a farmer and government money not to work; and that’s what scomo will give the nats.

    It shouldn’t have come as a surprise, with Gates reportedly being the biggest US land owner yet wanting to get rid of beef yet loves hamburgers.

    Melle Stewart was a healthy, talented 40-year old Australian actor living and working in London with her husband, actor Ben Lewis.     Queensland Senator Matt Canavan has revealed he will continue to advocate against the Coalition’s plan for net zero emissions by 2050.

    The Nationals MP was one of about nine party members who argued against the net zero plan at Sunday’s party meeting which saw the Nationals agree to supporting the Liberal’s climate target.

    Senator Canavan says, despite the plan, he won’t stop campaigning against net zero and fighting for working class Australians.

    FedEx workers across the country have walked off the job claiming workplace agreement negotiations have broken down.

    However the company says it has addressed most of the union’s concerns.

    It’s the latest 24-hour strike in the past few months for the parcel delivery industry, which has seen companies and workers at loggerheads over work conditions and outsourcing.

    Last week FedEx workers paused strikes planned for Thursday after the parties came close to securing an agreement.

    But Transport Workers’ Union National Secretary Michael Kaine said talks broke down on Thursday and FedEx declined requests to meet again on Friday to try to prevent Monday’s strike.

    F1 is crap to watch.

    Because of regulations ALL the cars have a similar performance profile. Therefore, they rely on the drivers bravery to do passing manoeuvres. This means you cannot pass on a straight.

    Get back to the origin of F1. Allow the teams to experiment with technology to give the drivers an advantage. Allow differences in car performance so that drivers can once again overtake on the straight. Then it will become exciting again.

    So in the Hun, a stellar lineup of spivs and assorted flogs to indulge in numerous displays of fuckwittery in Glasgow. I present you:

    Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison was a “maybe” for a while, but recently confirmed he would be there. Energy Minister Angus Taylor will also be going. Labor is sending Senator Pat Conroy and climate change spokesman Mark Dreyfus.
    The Queen, David Attenborough, Bill Gates and Greta Thunberg are all likely to be in attendance, health permitting. The Pope was expected at one point, but is now likely to make an appearance via video link.
    The Royals will be a hefty presence, with Prince Charles and William, as well as their respective partners Camilla and Kate, all going.

    Confirmed Australian attendees include Fortescue Metals Group chairman Andrew “Twiggy” Forrest and former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, who will attend as a representative of Fortescue.

    Some 25,000 delegates are expected to be in Glasgow for the conference.’

    Fucken Turnbull and Twiggy. If those 2 felt strongly enough about their carbon footprint, then they would forgo all monies from their ventures and row a boat to Glasgow.

    The COVID World post date: October 24th, 2021

    GOSFORD, NSW – A healthy 19-year-old woman is hospitalized with her body full of blood clots shortly after receiving her second Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Cienna Knowles got the shot on the morning of the 21st. That night, she woke up vomiting and her whole body was shaking. She was rushed to the ER after a D-dimer test came back positive showing that she had developed blood clots all over her legs and lungs. The 19-year-old is now struggling to come to terms with her life never going back to normal again.

    “So for those who personally know me, know that I was scared of getting the vaccination and said I’ll hold off for as long as I can until I have to,” Cienna said in a video posted on TikTok today. “And I was pretty much told no jab, no job, can’t compete with my horses, can’t go anywhere. You’re selfish if you don’t get it, just get it. So, I tossed it out and did what was ‘right’ to do. I was a perfectly healthy, normal 19-year-old kid and have never been to hospital whatsoever. Super active.”
