What I’ve Learned Rescuing My Daughter From Her Transgender Fantasy

My daughter’s story is no longer novel. Stories like it are occurring in your state, your town, and perhaps even on your street. Gender dysphoria—the incongruence between the mind and the body—moves stealthily and quickly to invade girls and boys alike.

    But this isn’t a cautionary tale. It’s a warning.

    Piers Akerman

‘After nearly two years of exposure to the Wuhan flu, confusion about its origins, treatments, efficacy of vaccines and the repeated failures of health professionals and political responses remain to be explored.

The lack of transparency from the get-go – internationally and locally, at all levels – has been breathtaking.

The health experts don’t agree with each other and in the case of Queensland’s former chief health officer Dr Jeannette Young, who is now the state governor, have assisted a wave of vaccine hesitancy.

State leaders, particularly Labor’s Victorian premier Daniel Andrews, Queensland’s Labor premier Anna Palaszczuk and Western Australia’s Labor Premier Mark McGowan, have been cruelly responsible for serial examples of inhumane treatment of ordinary Australians.

Only in the past week have Queenslanders been able to reunite with loved ones locked out of their state. West Australians will have to wait until early February.

Many missed funerals of close family members, marriages and births – all the milestones that knit family ties and bind generations.

Victorian police arrested pyjama-clad pregnant woman Zoe Buhler, 28, in her home in Victoria in front of her partner and children for posting information about an anti-lockdown protest on her Facebook page.

Queensland’s Palaszczuk refused to grant waivers for family members to attend the funeral of a dead baby but film stars and sport figures were granted admission at will.

Similarly, WA’s McGowan granted travel exemptions to local billionaires but refused to permit families to come together for weddings and funerals.

As Australians travelled to be with their long-separated loved ones for Christmas, former PM Tony Abbott called for a royal commission into the handling of the pandemic.

Speaking to the International Institute For Strategic Leadership Dialogue (forced to hold its sessions by video-link for the second year in a row), Abbott said it was essential the decisions of government and officials be scrutinised once victory over the pandemic is declared. Abbott said he was particularly concerned by the lack of parliamentary scrutiny to date.

“The most important decisions that have been made in a generation, at least in terms of spending and restrictions, and there has never been a full debate in the parliament and there has never been a vote on it,” he said.

“The democratic deficit which exists increasingly in these ‘expertocracies’ that we have become has been radically exacerbated by this and I think that is one of the reasons that so many people are feeling frankly pretty disgruntled right now.”

To that, I would demand the actions of the Therapeutic Goods Administration be thoroughly investigated in regard to its illogical rejection of drugs proved to reduce the risk of Covid death and its pandering to big pharmaceutical companies, and I would add its refusal last week to reschedule for therapeutic use the hallucinogens MDMA and psilocybin in the treatment of depression.

According to the Productivity Commission, one in five Australians – pre-Covid – suffered from a mental illness and one in eight Australians (including one in four older people) were on antidepressants.

Lobby group Mind Medicine Australia chairman Peter Hunt pointed to the volumes of research conducted by the US Federal Drugs Administration which has permitted therapeutic use of the hallucinogens and expressed bitter disappointment with the TGA’s decision to reject FDA findings and deny access to MDMA and psilocybin therapy to people suffering from treatment-resistant depression and PTSD in Australia.

Finally, when the pandemic first reached Australia, I believed that the national approach trumpeted by Prime Minister Scott Morrison was necessary and achievable. I took umbrage at then NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet’s resistance to the national cabinet’s plan to house new arrivals in hotel quarantine and charge the costs back to their home states.

For this, I apologise. Perrottet correctly read his fearmongering interstate colleagues and accurately predicted they’d leave NSW to pick up the bills. We weren’t all in this together because of the petty politicking of pusillanimous politicians and the lack of expertise displayed by our so-called health experts.

The people have been denied the protection of their constitution.’

    The Huron Carol

It was written in the Wendat language by the missionary Jean de Brébeuf.

This version performed by Heather Dale, and sung in Wendat (Huron), French and English.

The “Huron Carol” (or “‘Twas in the Moon of Wintertime”) is a Christmas hymn, written in 1643 by Jean de Brébeuf, a Christian missionary at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons in Canada. Brébeuf wrote the lyrics in the native language of the Huron/Wendat people; the song’s original Huron title is “Jesous Ahatonhia” (“Jesus, he is born”). The song’s melody is a traditional French folk song, “Une Jeune Pucelle” (“A Young Maid”).

The well known English lyrics were written in 1926 by Jesse Edgar Middleton.

He says the pressure to get vaxxed is enormous, players have vax injuries so aren’t fit enough for the top level and some can’t even train and those who refuse the vax are essentially being banned from playing. Leeds have a very depleted squad because of this and have lost the last 2 games bigly. Of course these elite athletes are very aware of all the sportsmen collapsing around the world.

The top sports teams all have private doctors, usually highly competent and highly paid. I think it likely depends on the rules regarding “who” gives the jab, GP or team doc. It’s nothing to switch the vial contents for saline so being “jabbed” ain’t necessarily so. So if you were a team doc and aware of the scam (how could they not be) would you really jab all the A team with the genuine article?
And if you were a common or garden GP, fully aware, would you give the vial contents to a loved one/friend or someone you just genuinely liked or would you do the old switcheroo? And would you not be genuinely tempted to give the “bane of your life” patient the real thing and then cross your fingers?
After all there’s no actual proof of who got what but there’s plenty of proof of impaired immune systems, clotting and so on in previously healthy people.
And anybody who goes to a pharmacy or Bunnings for a jab is a effing idiot. It’s meant to be prescribed by a doctor and given in a sterile manner.
I’ll bet the Liverpool squad are saline-vaxxed. And I wonder why league leaders Man City let legend Aguero go only for him to suddenly develop heart problems after his move. Just announced his retirement.

Do you feel soothed by Our Dom? Daily Telegraph

‘In recent days it has all come flooding back: the fear, the frustration, the disappointment, as a new outbreak and a new variant make it clear the pandemic isn’t over yet.

Many people are worried about themselves and their loved ones getting sick or even dying. Some are more worried for their livelihoods if restrictions return. Others worry about their mental and social wellbeing, and that of their kids.

No matter who you are or what your circumstances, it’s hard to bear. The most important thing for all of us to remember is that, as you go about your day, everyone you encounter also happens to be in the midst of a long and arduous test of their resolve. A touch of kindness and solidarity will go a long way.

Alongside the wave of worry is a wash of pandemic fatigue.

We all want it to be over. But this is the challenge of our generation, and now it is up to all of us to dig deeper yet again, to tap new reservoirs of strength, and carry one another forward.

That’s not easy, especially with so many conflicting opinions and reports out there, and when the age-old temptation of playing up the fear factor is just too good for some to pass up.

But fear and division can only hold us back.

What will get us through is unity, and the strength it brings.

The outbreak we are facing is significant. And the feelings that come flooding back reflect the habits and reflexes we have all developed in response to pandemic news.

One of the most powerful reflexes is the feeling that with every new case, we should lock everything down.

But this is not December 2019, and since the virus first emerged, one thing above all else has changed the game: vaccination.

NSW is one of the most highly vaccinated places in the world. The people of our state did that, by choice.

We took responsibility, went out in droves and got vaccinated to protect ourselves against the serious effects of the virus. And we did it so we could open our state back up and get back to life.

Vaccination offers a level of protection that, previously, we could only get by staying home. The best advice indicates that a booster dose will provide even better protection, so we should all go and get that too, as soon as we’re eligible.

Before widespread vaccination, high case numbers meant our hospital system would be overwhelmed unless we imposed drastic restrictions on movement and activity in the community.

But vaccination has been demonstrated to very clearly reduce pressure on the hospital system, and since the start of the pandemic we have been strengthening and preparing the system to manage this challenge.

So while previously, case numbers were the most important metric to watch, now it’s hospitalisations, and especially ICU admissions.

Vaccination is our most powerful weapon against COVID, but it’s only one part of an arsenal of deeply ingrained pandemic health habits: wash your hands; keep your distance, and if you can’t, wear a mask; get tested and stay home if you have symptoms; limit your movement and avoid high-risk situations.

These are all still important, but again, we can approach them differently now compared to the past two years because of the vastly different position we are in.

It is time to shift the balance back to personal responsibility, because a strong, healthy society is built not on the dictates of government, but on the common pursuit of the common good.

Despite all the government interventions, it is that unity of purpose and generosity of spirit among the people of our state that has propelled NSW through each stage of the pandemic so far. Now we have reached the next stage, the one we have been working towards for so long: living with the virus, with the protection of vaccines.

Living with the virus doesn’t mean living as if it doesn’t exist. The unavoidable reality of our time is that disruption of all sorts should be expected – to businesses, to schools, to work and play.

The next stage for people in NSW will be to live with the virus. People: Getty Images

Our goal will be to limit the effects as much as possible with localised responses and support.

Because in this phase, as we are witnessing, case numbers are bound to rise, just as the modelling predicted, and we are all likely to have a close encounter with COVID.

This is not to be taken lightly. The safety of the community is and always will be our top priority, and if the trajectory of an outbreak appears likely to put our health system under excessive pressure, we will change our approach, tailoring it to the circumstances and the evidence.

For now, that is not the case. So we are faced with our moment of truth.

Fear will try to persuade us to push this moment down the road.

But fear defeats us all. We have to rise above it, calm, resolute and united.

    And we will.

NSW is resilient. Our people are strong.

This is our moment to stand tall and lead the nation out of this pandemic.

Unfortunately, it’s not enough. Breakthrough cases, hospitalizations and deaths are mounting, as it turns out the vaccines’ effectiveness is not what we hoped, and especially against omicron. It is hard to find national data, as the government appears reluctant to admit that while the shots help protect most people from serious illness and death, they are not foolproof.

Certain states are filling in the gaps. Minnesota, for example, has reported 116,000 COVID cases among fully vaccinated people since Nov. 7; of those, 4,701 were hospitalized and 839 people have died.

In Maine, which has one of the highest vaccination rates in the country (with 95% of the over-65 crowd fully vaxxed), 59% of deaths in October were among the fully vaccinated, prompting Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, to ask Anthony Fauci to explain the growing toll during a Senate hearing. He could not.’
