Probably not a lot of interest to most of you.
Currently living in Hungary and catching up with the taxation and social system.
Way too complicated for me and of only theoretical interest as we are moving back to OZ after I retire and no way we’ll be eligible for any old age pension anyway.

But here is the interesting bit, here, you can earn a wage paid by cash (how that is possible and pay no tax, I still don’t know?)
    It is openly advertised.

But the catch comes when you retire.
Your pension will be paid according to your lifetime tax paid.
Ouch for a lot of stupid (crickets) ones and good luck for the astute investors.

Morrison said the protesters were “speaking up for the things they feel strongly about” and asked them to follow police directions.

“Australia is a free country and they have a right to protest,” he said. “I would ask them to do that in a peaceful and respectful way.”

Morrison said the federal government had only ever supported mandates for aged care and disability workers, as well as health workers in high-risk situations.

“All other mandates that relate to vaccines have been imposed unilaterally by state governments,” he said. “They have not been put in place by the commonwealth government … so I understand their concerns about these issues.”

Christensen is making a valid point. Next government will be LNP or Labor. The difference will be more members on the cross bench.

For conservative/centre-right candidates to get elected will require a great number of awakened voters in each electorate. Some electorates like Western Sydney may have a higher number of voters who will vote away from Uniparty. So there is a chance of parties like UAP picking those seats.

What we see at rallies and protests is a collective crowd from around the city, state or country. That covers 151 seats – lower house and 76 upper house.

He targeted Bill Shorten in the last federal election, but this time there’s more than $100m worth of reasons why Clive Palmer might become Scott Morrison’s worst nightmare.

The Queensland billionaire’s advertising spending spree for his United Australia Party was considered to be one of the reasons for the former Labor leader’s loss in 2019.

Mr Palmer has said he will top that mere $88m outlay three years ago with an ever bigger campaign that he promises will target the Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese and even the Greens.

“I get up at 2am … and spent my first hour thinking about all the nasty things I can do to the Liberal Party or the Labor Party,” Mr Palmer told The Australian aboard his superyacht in Sydney Harbour on Sunday afternoon.

Then from 3 to 4am I actually do it, writing the ads and other things.

“I’ve got no confidence in Scott Morrison or Albo, or [Josh] Frydenberg or that other guy, what’s his name, [opposition Treasury spokesman] Jim Chalmers,”

Mr Palmer said he had just signed a $27m cheque for television ads alone to run through to the election on networks Seven and Nine.

While the $100m advertising spend is substantial, the billionaire played down the size of the sum, given he is now getting more than $600m annually in mining royalties from Chinese giant Citic.

“It’s only a couple of months’ work for me,” Mr Palmer deadpanned.

The 67-year-old billionaire is in Sydney for his defamation case against West Australian Premier Mark McGowan that begins in the Federal Court on Monday, and he hasn’t arrived quietly.

    Et cetera
