CELEBRATING 1 BILLION VIEWS AND COUNTING!

    From Wikipedia

In 1988, a friend of Kamakawiwoʻole called a Honolulu recording studio owned by Milan Bertosa at 3:00 am with a request that Kamakawiwoʻole be allowed to come in to make a recording. Bertosa was about to shut down, but told the friend that Kamakawiwoʻole could come if he was able to make it within 15 minutes. In a 2011 interview, Bertosa recalled, “In walks the largest human being I had seen in my life. Israel was probably like 500 pounds. And the first thing at hand is to find something for him to sit on.” A security guard gave Kamakawiwoʻole a large steel chair. “Then I put up some microphones, do a quick sound check, roll tape, and the first thing he does is ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow.’ He played and sang, one take, and it was over.

I hope the Russia-Ukraine conflict is resolved quickly because most governments are happy to use it to distract the sheeple.

The NZ case last month is a big deal. Although it may seem that it is an internal matter for that country, in reality, legal cases in other countries can be quoted as a precedent. Especially, as this is a global issue.(Is that correct, Legal Cats?)

The legal profession needs to start up with class actions.

Leftists Fail to Pressure Disney to Condemn Florida Bill Barring Sexuality Teaching for Young Students

The Walt Disney Co. is resisting left-wing pressure to condemn the Florida bill that would restrict the teaching of sexuality and transgenderism to students in kindergarten through third grade.

As one of the biggest private employers in Florida, Disney has become a target of activist groups and the mainstream news media who want the company to speak out against the legislation, which Democrats have deceptively called the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

Why has Walt Disney changed and now resisting the lefties?

The answer lies with the new CEO. If a company has a leader, it will not give in to the activists.

Disney’s decision to avoid commenting on the bill sheds light on the differing leadership styles of current CEO Bob Chapek and his predecessor, Bob Iger, who is staunchly leftist and has publicly condemned the bill.

“Whatever Bob [Chapek]’s personal politics are, he’s not an activist and does not bring any partisan agenda to work,” Disney spokesman Geoff Morrell told the site WDW News Today, which covers Disney theme parks.

“He sees himself first and foremost as the custodian of a unifying brand that for nearly a century has been bringing people together, and he is determined that Disney remain a place where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.”

Meanwhile, Bob Iger used his Twitter account to denounce the bill. Under Iger’s leadership, Disney took a number of left-wing political stances, including condemning Georgia’s anti-abortion law.

Thereisa country full of corrupt poiticians ,their president is in power trough a rigged election , the leaders are all old corrupt people , they oppress dissent and demand obedience ,they are firmly in the hands of billionaire corruptocrats, they invade other countries and kill innocent people to try to look powerfull . They live on borrowed money and have a debt to GNP rate of 125 debt to
100 GNP, Russia? No ,a clue it’s capital isa Washington DC
    Russias debt 17.7 GNP 100

The US Federal Reserve still has another tranche of QE to go and also has its rates set at zero.

The US has raging inflation at 7.5%, however Peter Schiff argues that if it was calculated the same way as when inflation was last at these levels, 1980, the rate is near to 15%.

So why doesn’t Jerome Powell raise rates? Because firstly the stock market would crash, and secondly the US government couldn’t afford to pay the interest on its debt. It would be shown to be insolvent. So the Fed is left to signal that it may raise rates in the future and hope that does the job.

Some argue that the only thing that keeps the shitbox on the road is the US dollar having the reserve currency.

They learned the importance of narrative control and information warfare targeting domestic audiences: consolidating the media, tightening their hold on information, marginalising the few investigative journalists that remain, and nullifying scepticism as examples of appeasement or Putinism. Undoubtedly, the situation seriously endangers civil liberties and freedom of thought in the Anglosphere, undermining the very foundation of Western democracy…

    VIKKI CAMPION

NOBODY knocks at the door begging for thoughts and prayers. While politicians and zealotillionaires, fall over themselves with well-wishes for Ukraine and condemnation of Russia, thoughts and prayers are not all we can offer and mean nothing on the ground for those caught in air strikes or taking in millions of refugees.

Thoughts, prayers, and condemnation must be the precursor to action.

When Poland called Australia this week, it wasn’t for soothing conversation. They wanted Australian minerals, our coal, not out of friendship, not out of a trade relations junket, but out of necessity.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is holding Europe to ransom over gas supplies.

Energy is their vulnerability, like it is ours, as our mining and fracking projects, or even diversification projects funded with coal or gas money, are cut off from finance and insurance.

Liberal democracies don’t subdue to subservience, but Europe weakened itself by cutting off baseload power on a Glasgow fantasy, and became reliant on a totalitarian state to keep warm.

European institutions, like Australian banks, won’t insure or finance our coal. Still, now their governments ask for tens of millions of tonnes because they yielded their energy independence to a dictatorship. One of the co-investors in Nordstream 2, the umbilical cord for Europe’s energy supplies, is Engie, the French company that bought Hazelwood in the La Trobe Valley and shut it down in 2017.

The company that bleated about its commitment to shut down Hazelwood for green credentials with a “transformation plan concentrating solely on low carbon projects for power generation, renewable energy and natural gas” was at the same time backing in Nord Stream 2 designed to force Europe’s reliance on Russian gas and isolate Ukraine.

In Victoria, Engie are ecowarrior wokevestors. In St Petersburg, they were supporting Putin.

Lay down your environmental sanctity unless the economic support of an invading army is something of merit. Emerging threats are not pitching for green preferences.

Energy is our soft spot too; it has growing implications for national security as South Australia discovered a few years ago.

Responsibility for energy is divided between the states and the federal government, the former who are refusing to approve any new coal projects, and instead are subsidising renewables.

The latter must ensure there is co-ordination to run your toaster and the Tomago aluminium smelter, another industry that will be forced out of Australia. If states consider energy supply from a purely greenpreferenced policy perspective or follow the wokevestors in Peter Pannish “if you believe, you can fly” corporate activism, ignoring national security implications, the compounding affect on us and our neighbours is massive.

The mining industry is by far Australia’s most strategic economic asset. Our economic relationships are mainly in the Indo-Pacific and coal, iron ore and natural gas dominate.

While wokevestors falsely proclaim that coal is dead, this week, the price of coal tripled to a new spot record above $US400 a tonne.

Board members in bespoke suits, who drink from the same Peter Pan cup of believing happy things gives you wings, are demanding those companies implement Environmental Social and Corporate Governance policies that satisfies their demands around climate change.

Now that Europe is dusting off its coal power stations, are these European-based institutions going to impose their ESG policies on them too? Or do your views on emissions change when you can feel the vibrations of the shells? These same wokevestors fly first class and tell us to embrace a cottage-core life.

Our petrol price has doubled to $2 in two years yet we still don’t refine our own petroleum, don’t make our own petrol and very little of our own fertiliser, which is important if you want to eat.

When petrol goes over $2 a litre, you hear you should have bought an electric car – a ridiculous proposition for anyone on basic wages or living in the bush, looking at their sorghum crop wondering whether it will be worth the fuel costs to harvest it.

The state of the world should serve as a reckoning – that we should be using our natural resources like coal and oil at home – instead of shipping it all overseas.

It will cost hundreds of millions of dollars to rebuild after the floods and it’s going to take imported product because we have talked ourselves out of making it.

Saying the right thing is the name of the station where wokevestors get off as they smother industry in environmental impact statements in this crusade to save the
    world.

Our primary national interest test should be security and economic growth, and that basic interest test should apply to all our jobs and standard of living for all
    Australians.

Thoughts and prayers to our corporate activists and politician Peter Pans, please let them grow the conviction to actually change things, not just wish it.

Dum dum, you do know AEMO has coal power constantly on because it is not dispatchable and solar plus wind power is switched off when supply exceeds demand.

FMD. Dispatchable power means power on demand: only non weather dependent power sources such as coal, gas, nuclear and hydro (while the water lasts) can do this. Batteries can’t because they do not produce power only store it inefficiently. Wind and solar are weather dependent and cannot supply power on demand. They are therefore non-dispatchable energy sources.

Solar and wind are switched off or rather their power is run up a pole because they often produce excess power when demand is lowest, such as noon with solar or in the middle of the night with wind.

S&W get preference to the grid when they do work which means the big coal generators have to keep operating because they cannot be switched on and off without being able to sell their power. As well the big coal generators have to buy Large Scale Energy Certificates from the W&S producers for every watt of power W&S do manage to produce, which is only 20% of the time averaged over the year. To rub salt into the commercial wound big coal has to keep running to back up the intermittent W&S.

When you add the $13 billion in direct subsidies W&S receive from the government you then realise the fraud that W&S are. Unless of course you are a pompous stupid greenie.

Sberbank, Alfa Bank and Tinkoff all said they would begin using the Chinese UnionPay system, according to Reuters.

The announcement comes one day after Mastercard announced cards issued by Russian banks will no longer be supported by its network, while any Mastercard issued outside the country will not work at Russian stores or ATMs. Visa similarly announced it is working to suspend all transactions in the coming days, over a week after the Russian invasion of Ukraine first began…

Vaccine caused Tas man’s death: Coroner
    Robyn Wuth

    March 4, 2022 4:51PM

The death of a Tasmanian father of four who collapsed while on a family holiday was caused by side effects of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, a coroner has found.

Ian William McDonald Reed, 44, had a headache for four days after receiving the vaccine in July last year.

He was holidaying with his family on Tasmania’s east coast when he suddenly collapsed on July 13.

Mr Reed was airlifted to hospital where doctors discovered intracerebral haemorrhage – a type of stroke involving a blood vessel rupturing and bleeding inside the brain and abnormal blood clotting.

Despite neurosurgical intervention, Mr Reed did not recover and died on July 16.

In a report handed down on Friday, coroner Simon Cooper found Mr Reed died from a “rare but recognised” complication of the AstraZeneca vaccine .

“It is in fact a complication of the immunological response to vaccination,” the coroner found.

Mr Reed’s wife questioned whether there had been adequate information about the vaccine’s risks and side effects.

However, the coroner found the warnings were adequate.

“I am satisfied that at the relevant time there was sufficient information available as to the potential side effects associated with the AstraZeneca vaccine.”

Discussing the current situation with sanctions on Russia related to the situation in Ukraine, as well as Western companies and services leaving Russia. I’m living in a sort of my own personal hell at this point. Oh boy.
Anyway, let’s talk about how huge corporations such as IKEA, Apple, Netflix, Intel, BMW, Visa, Mastercard and more are leaving Russia and how it will affect regular Russians.

Just got sucked in to the Shane Warne story tonight.
Leigh Sales interviewed Adam Gilchrist, which then led in to a repeat of her interview with Warne from about three years back. And what a cracking interview it was. Congrats to both of them.

Michael Clarke gave lovely interview recalling the larrikin Warnie. Recalls visiting what he described as a Westfield size house of Warne. Door wide open – he enters to find Warnie laying in a solarium inside one of the many lounge rooms. He had goggles on & was smoking a ciggie!

We recall one of his first appearances at the SCG when he emerged from the dressing room at lunch dressed as an umpire. Everyone was sort of shocked at the irreverence. It was just the start of that larrikin career.

How does that make it (more than usually) fake? “A senior administration official” is one of the most common WaPo sources. Are they saying that much of what WaPo publishes is fake news? Sounds like it.

These extremely rare vaxx deaths aren’t really that rare. At least Mr. Reid’s family can apply for a free funeral at – https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/deceased-covid-19-vaccine-recipient-payments-and-funeral-costs-you-can-claim-through-covid-19?context=55953

There’s no financial support though if Mr. Reid had life insurance. The American and European life insurance companies don’t pay out on death from those “extremely rare” vaxx deaths, I assume it’s the same situation here. In a recent ruling in France, a judge ruled that vaxx deaths were suicide (knowingly took an experimental drug), and suicide isn’t covered by life insurance policies.
