So much for academia. He tells Arnab that “Russia is a pariah state for 90% of the globe”. That’s just silly. Russia is not a pariah state to China and India, and that’s 36 percent of the world population.

Opening Day Of World Government Summit, Klaus Schwab Calls For Governments To Unite As One

On the opening day of the World Government Summit (WGS2022) in Dubai, billionaire Klaus Schwab addressed the mountain of issues facing the world. This included climate change, the COVID-19 pandemic, trade, and economic disruption. Each holding their own set of challenges, Schwab advised that it was time for the governments of the world to unite as “one” to solve the growing problems.

Again, on the first day, Schwab appeared to be holding nothing back as noted, “The impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution accelerates global change in a much more comprehensive and faster way than previous industrial revolutions.

    struth,

You say that you are reading what appears on this blog. Then, you should know the rules that have been posted here, as well as the other comments from Admin, and the No Dickheads Policy.

The rules, the bugs, the problems with time delay of comments, and the solutions have been dealt with a number of times. All this is not going to be repeated.

The system has you listed as a registered commenter. Registered commenters face no time delay problems – if they log in.

If someone wants to be respected on the blog, they need to treat the blog with respect and follow the rules.

You were put in moderation for a reason. Two weeks ago, you posted a comment that broke 2 rules.

    1. Once someone has been approved as a commenter, login details (user name and email address) cannot be changed.
You posted a comment using another user name.

Typos, mistakes, unintended errors are okay. The system will hold the comments because it doesn’t recognise the login, and Admin will release it, later. But to intentionally use another name, is not allowed.

Rogue federal LNP backbencher George Christensen says he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is treating himself with a range of drugs including the unapproved and ineffective antiviral ivermectin.

The outgoing Mackay-based member for Dawson confirmed the rapid antigen test result on Sunday afternoon, suggesting his “haters” would now “hope for something terrible to happen to me as a result”.

“You can never be too careful though so I’m taking good ol’ Lemsip, Panadol, aspirin, Betadine anaesthetic lozenges, zinc, vitamin D, vitamin C as well as a couple of antivirals I can’t mention on Facebook,” the unvaccinated Mr Christensen wrote in a post on the social media platform.

But on the messaging app Telegram, he confirmed the antivirals were doxycycline and ivermectin. The latter said to have been prescribed by a GP before the Therapeutic Goods Administration tightened restrictions on its use by doctors in September.…

Leaked messages from Disney ‘cast members’ show many in favor of Florida’s anti-grooming law

Much noise has been made by Disney corporate and executives about their displeasure with the new Parental Rights in Education law passed in Florida, but many who work at Disney not only see no problem with the law but, like most parents in the state, are in favor of it. Disney corporate had said they would “work to repeal” the state’s anti-grooming law.

The messages were leaked by a cast member to Human Events Daily’s Jack Posobiec from internal communications boards showing that many Disney employees are in favor of the bill and don’t see it through the propagandist lens of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ political opponents.

Check the article for screenshots of some of the messages.

The first guy slept with Bob and comes to breakfast the next morning with his hair a mess and his eyes all bloodshot.
They said, “Man, what happened to you?”

He said, “Bob snored so loudly, I just sat up and watched him all night.”

The next night it was a different guy’s turn. In the morning, same thing – hair all standing up, eyes all bloodshot.
They said, “Man, what happened to you? You look awful!”

He said, “Man, that Bob shakes the roof with his snoring. I watched him all night.”

The third night was Pete’s turn. Pete was a big burly ex-Navy man; a man’s man. The next morning he came to breakfast bright eyed and bushy tailed.
    “Good morning”, he said.

    They couldn’t believe it!
    They said, “Man, what happened?”

He said, “Well, we got ready for bed. I went and tucked Bob into bed, patted him on the butt, and kissed him good night.
Bob sat up and watched me all night.”

Another funny little town in a rural part of the country. Large town at the centre, satellite hamlets in all directions. Generations of farmers trying to eke a living, battling with either drought or flood, heat and cold, uncomplaining. If you don’t know any different why would you complain? Such interesting work. I was glad I had trained in a lunatic asylum and read all the old psychiatric books or I’d have been completely lost. Friday was weekly market day when everybody from every location came to town and fitted it all into that one day. Should have chucked a sickie but I didn’t, too interesting. Many times I wanted to write, “the effects of inbreeding” in my clinical notes but we had long been forbidden to express such an opinion.
“Ted,” said the doctor, “odd one for you. Can you see this young lady now? Her mother insists she has epilepsy, she says she doesn’t, I’m not sure but I don’t think she does. I’ll send you a referral later but she’s only in town for a couple of hours.”
“Sure.” I had long learned to accept referrals, no matter how inappropriate, in good grace. Cordial relations with other service providers are essential and GPs are often held in the highest regard. Situations like this are fraught with danger. You know nothing about the person and being alone with a female can invite accusations from the aggrieved and vindictive.
She was a few days past her 18th and presented extremely well, accepted for university in the capital. Groomed, attractive, poised but clearly deeply unhappy. I documented her details. She was quite reluctant. How to start?
“It’s nice to meet you. Do you want to be here or does someone else want you to be here?”
    “Mum. And the doctor.”
“Someone thinks you have epilepsy but you say you don’t. I’m guessing here but you’re 18 now, you’re an adult and you want to make your own decisions?” She looked surprised. Nailed it! “I like your doctor, he’s very good. I can’t give him anything but a comprehensive report. I can’t just say yes or no. I have to justify it. That means a full assessment, maybe 45 minutes. Entirely voluntary and it’s best to be honest. Up to you. After that you’ll never see me again but, and it’s a big but, I’ll give an opinion that carries no weight. In the end, whatever happens next, will be up to you? And any questions you don’t want to answer, you don’t have to. It’s confidential. Mum will never know what we talk about. So?”
    “Okay.”
“Sum up your situation in a few sentences.”
“I’ve been on Epilim for as long as I can remember. I don’t think I’ve got epilepsy. I’ve never had a seizure. It makes me fat and sleepy, I hate it. So mostly I don’t take it. Don’t tell mum.”
“I won’t. You’re not fat, you’re not sleepy so I’m guessing you haven’t taken any today or yesterday… or for some time?”
She smiled and shook her head. “Occasionally mum’s there when I’m pretending to take them and I have to but mostly she trusts me and I just hide them and throw them away when it’s safe. I exercise and eat healthy and I use that to explain why I’m not fat anymore. I was a fat pig a few years ago from taking them.”
“Do you keep any?” I usually nod at this point.
“I’ve got a stash, in case I want to kill myself.”
“Can we come back to that? I’d like to race through the assessment.”
She nodded. Two hours went by. Biological mum and dad. Dad worked hard and provided, mum a homemaker with a difference and clearly the dominant character in the household, two sisters, one had died from a seizure. She had witnessed her death and gave a good description. Other sister also had epilepsy but she had never seen her have a seizure. Textbooks say there are familial epilepsies so it is possible. Was this one of them? The diagnostic and treatment history would have been lost in time. What to do?
There was a knock on my office door. It was mum. Glamorous and beautifully presented and completely out of place in a little country farming town. “Do you have my daughter?” Charm personified.
“Come in.” We agreed I would have a chat with mum without betraying confidentiality. Long conversation which can be summarised as “I don’t want her to die of a seizure like her sister.” We covered the extended family history and the three daughters cases. None had ever seen a neurologist or had routine EEGs. “I’d bring them to the local hospital after a seizure. All the records will show that.”
I can’t go through a person’ medical records for no reason.
“Are you coming to town for the market next week? See you then.”
Coincidentally, that weekend, we were going to their little hamlet to buy some chickens and geese. As we drove through one house stood out. It was like a Disney cottage. White picket fence, flowered covered archway, ornate, colourful garden, so pretty and completely picturesque. I noted the address and checked on Monday. They lived at what had been nicknamed Disneyland. During the week I was able to go through records, chat with the GP and hospital staff who had worked there for decades. Multiple presentations over the years “post seizure”, overnight admissions. “Do you think any of the kids has epilepsy?” Not one said yes. My thoughts were “Munchausens by proxy.”
Market day came, knock on the door, mum and daughter who I saw together. “You’re 18 now, an adult. You can make your own decisions. But if you want to stop the Epilim, wean yourself off over several weeks and make sure there are people around you and they know. I’ll write to your GP and leave it up to him. It’s not mental health, it’s neurology so that’s it from me.”
At lunchtime I walked through the market and chanced upon the girl. “Can I ask you something?” she said.
“Can I ask YOU something first?” I countered. She nodded. “Does anybody ever do anything that might give you or your sisters seizures?”
“Yes, mum gives us this awful medicine sometimes. She says it’s to prevent colds and flu. She makes it herself.” Then, after a long pause, “Do you think mum’s causing it? That’s what I was going to ask.”
“I don’t know, I honestly don’t. You need to go to uni and get on with your life.”
    “What about my sister?”
    “Which one?”
“The live one. I don’t want to lose her too.”
“I’ll have a word in your GPs ear. Recommend she sees a neurologist. No excuses not to. Best I can do.”
After much deliberating about what to write I presented the case to the multidisciplinary team for approval. No proof of anything. Belongs to neurology. Write to GP. Close case. Afterwards one of the senior clinicians pulled me aside. “Are you thinking Munchausens by proxy?” I nodded. “Me too.”
Every team has a lead psychiatrist. They make the big calls and for that they get the big bucks.
Munchausens Syndrome is where a person makes themselves ill for the attention.
Munchausens Syndrome by proxy is where the child is made ill for the attention.
Pretty psychopathic if you ask me.

Hungary election: PM Viktor Orban criticises Ukraine’s Zelensky as he wins vote

Hungary’s nationalist Prime Minister Viktor Orban has won a fourth term by a landslide in the country’s general election, near-complete results show.

His right-wing Fidesz party had 53.1% of votes with 98% counted, preliminary results show.

The opposition alliance led by Peter Marki-Zay was far behind with 35%.

In his victory speech, Mr Orban criticised Brussels bureaucrats and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, calling them “opponents”.

Mr Zelensky has repeatedly criticised Mr Orban’s ban on the transfer of arms to Ukraine, with which it shares a border. However, Mr Orban – who has close ties with Moscow – has condemned the Russian invasion, and taken in half a million refugees since the war began in February.

“We never had so many opponents,” he said cited by AFP. “Brussels bureaucrats… the international mainstream media, and the Ukrainian president.”…

It was getting close to midnight and in need of a late night feed… with a lot of booze consumption that night, the three of us decided to sit down with a few girls from the UK and order a meal.

After a few minutes, the red light girls started to linger, hoping for some business. We said hey, do you wish for something to eat?
Yes they replied and they sat down with us. We ended up buying meals for about six or seven, with the last one sitting at the table with a look of astonishment when we said, place your order, what would you like?

They twigged very quickly that none of us was interested with anything in return, so the mood was chilled. Having three gorgeous ladies from the UK at the table made that happen.

I’ll never forget the look on the last girl that sat down with us; empty look in her eyes and curious as to why we would do this. She happily accepted us buying her a meal like the rest of them. Conversation ensued and it turned out most were doing it to pay for their UNI education and to get of the island.

Some of the looks we copped from senior foreign tourists was funny as…”you dirty bastards” was obviously on their minds, though the three ladies from the UK sitting with us ultimately made them think again. I tried my best to win over one of the ladies from England…I failed.

They even asked, why are you buying all these girls meals? It felt like the right thing to do. No strings attached, enjoy the meal.

We got up and left, said goodbye and proceeded then to jump on our 150cc scooters and fang it around the island at around 2 am in the morning…pissed as! Upon returning to OZ, we learned that because none of us had a MC license, travel insurance would not have covered us if we came a cropper.

    Good times.

Queensland’s vaccination mandate will be scrapped for most venues, including bars and restaurants, next week meaning Queenslanders can socialise in public whether vaccinated or not, as 9946 cases and eight deaths are recorded. It comes amid confirmation the latest peak of the virus has passed.

That was refreshing. I just a did a walk to the deli and asked a few young chaps just of the bus how long they have to wear a mask in school…

    Them: All day
Me: You know they don’t do anything.
    Them: Yeah, we know…true response.
Me: It is a sanctioned bacterial colony on your face…
Them: [ Very little audible response I could recognize ]

They crossed the road and we parted ways. Good stuff. That would have been a jolt to their head. Year 8 I reckon. To think parents would subject them to these jabs is criminal.

It is as simple as that.

    True story.
