MEPs notify WHO that IHR amendments “adopted” in 2022 are null and void
in the absence of evidence of a vote having taken place

On 28 May 2022, the World Health Assembly quietly agreed to reduce the period during which nations have to opt out of future amendments to the IHR. “It now turns out, that that vote might have not been lawful,” Vlaardingerbroek said.

On 28 November, 12 Members of the European Parliament, led by Dutch MEP Rob Roos, wrote a letter to WHO’s Director-General after they uncovered that the basic procedural rules for the correct formation of a vote had been violated by WHO to speed up their attempted power grab.

According to the MEPs, the 2022 amendments were not validly adopted because there is no evidence that the vote of its 8th plenary meeting on 28 May 2022 to “adopt” these changes was correctly executed with the required majority vote as foreseen under Art. 21 in conjunction with Art. 60 lit. (b) of the WHO Constitution.

Weather warnings are in place across the UK as temperatures plunged below freezing overnight.

Snow hit parts of London on Friday and the icy conditions are forecast to continue throughout the weekend. It comes after temperatures plunged to their lowest since March.

The Met Office has issued yellow warnings through Saturday morning for the northern coast and southwest of Scotland, as well as southwest and the eastern coast of England.

Conditions could affect some roads and railways, forecasters said, and slippery surfaces would increase the risk of injury for pedestrians and cyclists.

The mercury approached minus 10C in some places overnight, with Tulloch Bridge and Eskdalemuir in Scotland reaching minus 8C.

Temperatures are tipped to continue to fall over the weekend, with several sporting events cancelled amid snowfall and icy conditions.

It’s possible that Ukraine is heading towards a civil war.

There are rumours that General Zaluzhny, the Commander in Chief of the Ukrainian military, is conducting secret talks with General Gerasimov, the head of the Russian military. Zaluzhny has said that he wants to run in the Ukraine presidential elections next year, so Zelensky has cancelled the elections.

Zaluzhny wants to end the conflict with Russia, hence the ultra nationalists want him out of the way. They are represented by a character named Lieutenant General Budanov who is the chief of the Ukrainian intelligence services. Budanov is believed to be the person who assassinated Zaluzhny’s first assistant by sending him a hand grenade bomb as a birthday present. and the recent poisoning of Budanov’s wife was most likely a retaliatory strike from Zaluzhny.

There are other voices in Kiev who have revealed to the public on national TV broadcasts that the peace negotiations which were conducted with Russia in February (?) last year were highly favourable to Ukraine, but Boris Johnson went to Kiev to tell Zelensky to cancel the peace agreement.

Zelensky fears a military coup and he is protected (and held prisoner) by the ultra nationalists, hence his recent visit to the front lines to meet with the military commanders, but he didn’t meet with Zaluzhny.

One of the aims of the Russian military operation was the removal of the ultra nationalist crazies in Ukraine, I wonder if the Ukraine military will remove them to make a peace agreement with Russia.

If he’s lucky to survive, Zelensky can then sail away on his $75 Million super yachts to his various mansions around the world.

They were Palestinian hostages held by Israel

    The Age

Freed Palestinians were mostly young and not convicted of crimes

Israel released a total of 240 Palestinian prisoners and detainees in exchange for 105 hostages freed by Hamas during a weeklong pause in hostilities, an arrangement that diplomats had tried to extend before it collapsed into fighting Friday morning.

An analysis of data on the Palestinians released showed that a majority of them had not been convicted of a crime. There were 107 teenagers under 18, including three girls. Another 66 teenagers were 18 years old. The oldest person released was a 64-year-old woman.

The negotiations for the seven rounds of exchange – one for each day of the pause – had centred on women and children on either side of the conflict. Citizens of Thailand, the Philippines and Russia, who were freed through separate talks, also numbered among the hostages Hamas released. More than 120 hostages are believed to remain in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli government initially posted a list of 300 Palestinian teenagers and women who could potentially be released through the deal and added 50 names to that list as the exchanges progressed. The list included people’s birth dates, the accusations levied against them and other information. Among those who had not been convicted of a crime, it did not distinguish between those imprisoned without formally being charged and those who had been charged and were awaiting trial.

The New York Times compared the Israeli data with lists of the Palestinians released each day by the Palestinian Authority’s Commission for Prisoners’ Affairs. The Israeli data shows that three-quarters of the released Palestinians had not been convicted of a crime. Most had been in prison for less than a year; 37 were arrested during the Israeli military’s crackdown after the October 7 Hamas-led attacks on Israel.

Israel detained all of the people on the list for what it said were offences related to Israel’s security, from throwing stones to more serious accusations like supporting terrorism and attempted murder. More than half of the cases were being prosecuted in Israeli military courts, which try Palestinians in the occupied West Bank but not Israeli settlers who live there.

Nearly all Palestinians tried in Israeli military courts are convicted, and those accused of security offences can be imprisoned indefinitely without charge or trial. Israel has defended these practices as necessary for maintaining its security, but international human rights groups have widely criticised them as violating international law and said they are used to suppress Palestinian political activity and expression.

A majority of the people released, 155 of them, were from the West Bank; 72 were from East Jerusalem; and one was from Gaza. The lists also included some Palestinian citizens of Israel, who are not normally included in exchange deals. That raised alarm among some observers who feared their inclusion could be used to tie them to Hamas or to threaten revoking their citizenship.

Rep Nadler slams GOP anti-Zionism resolution as ‘intellectually disingenuous’

The most senior Jewish member of the House of Representatives has fiercely opposed a Republican-drafted resolution that explicitly labels anti-Zionism as antisemitism.

In remarks on the House floor on Monday, Democratic US Rep Jerry Nadler of New York called the measure “another attempt in a long series of veiled efforts by the GOP to weaponise Jewish lives for political gains.”

House Resolution 894 “clearly and firmly states that anti-Zionism is antisemitism,” a measure that opponents fear is dangerously conflating criticism of Israel with anti-Jewish attacks amid Israel’s siege of Gaza. A draft of the four-page measure was widely condemned across social media before it was introduced and debated on the House floor on Monday night.

“These authors, if they were at all familiar with Jewish history and culture, should know about Jewish anti-Zionism that was and is expressly not antisemitic,” said Mr Nadler. He added that the measure ignores certain Hasidic communities, progressive Jewish groups and others that “have held views that are at odds with modern Zionist conception.”

The resolution was introduced by Republican US Reps David Kustoff and Max Miller. Miller told Fox News last month that he refuses to “call it the Palestinian flag because they’re not a state, they’re a territory that’s about to probably get eviscerated and go away here shortly, as we’re going to turn that into a parking lot.”

In his comments on Monday, Nadler accused Republicans of exploiting reports of antisemitism after Israel’s ongoing siege “to try to inflict inter-party political damage.”

“Or we can rise to the occasion and do something real and powerful to actually help the Jewish community,” Mr Nadler said.

The conflation of anti-Zionism with antisemitism is “either intellectually disingenuous, or factually wrong,” he added.

In the UK there were a lot of secret exemptions granted, the recipients included medical professionals. How could any moral person inject a toxic substance into someone else when they had secretly exempted themselves from taking the jab.

Obviously there’s nothing else going on in the world more important than decriminalising sex work.

The ongoing slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza and Ukrainians and Russians in Ukraine isn’t so important, the unions think it’s more important that the sex workers are decriminalised and then unionised.

    Stop. Playing. Their. Game.

The solution for the problem of trannies in women sport is for women to not take part in the event. If a race is being run or swum by one fake female only and no biological women competing, the show ends.

    Problem solved.

Good on Riley for putting up the money. This should have been done by women’s groups and other organisations. Start up a fund. All women who compete in sports should refuse to participate in any event if there are trannies signed up.

The women record-holders can apply to the Fund committee and get the prize money based on their previous performance. It may be a bit unfair for newcomers but they wouldn’t win against a male competitor anyway.

It will Bud Light the problem out of women sports.

US Senator Bernie Sanders has urged his Democratic colleagues to pull more than $10 billion in military aid to Israel from an upcoming spending bill, arguing that the money would make Washington complicit in Israel’s “immoral” war in Gaza.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced on Monday that he would put a $106 billion spending bill to a vote on Wednesday. Requested by President Joe Biden, the bill includes $10.1 billion in direct military aid to Israel, more than $61 billion for Ukraine, and $13.6 for border protection at home.

“I do not believe we should be appropriating over $10 billion for the right-wing extremist Netanyahu government to continue its current military approach,” Sanders said in a speech on the Senate floor on Monday, referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“What the Netanyahu government is doing is immoral, it is in violation of international law, and the United States should not be complicit in those actions,” Sanders continued.

By the time we get to the next federal election in 2025, will Aussie voters still remember the Albo government and its Voice referendum, cost of living crisis, the stuff-up over the High Court’s NZYQ ruling, messed up climate agenda etc etc etc and vote them out?

But is there a real alternative? What does the LNP stand for? The moderates (lefties) have taken over. Before October, Dave Sharma wouldn’t have had a chance for the Marise Payne Senate seat. Suddenly, he is the man of the moment. How did that happen?

Then, Josh Frydenberg decided he was done with politics. That was two months ago. Chairman of Goldman Sachs is a pretty good gig. Who knows? He may be persuaded to change his mind.

The real problem is not the lack of good Conservative leaders and candidates. The problem is that they will not get the necessary pre-selection. Look what’s happened to someone like Gerard Rennick? Kicked out at the next election. Will they get rid of Alex Antic too?

UAE leader welcomes ‘dear friend’ Putin

Vladimir Putin’s plane has landed in Abu Dhabi for the Russian leader’s first trip to the United Arab Emirates since 2019.

At the beginning of their meeting, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan called Putin a “dear friend,” saying that he was “happy” to see his Russian counterpart again. The two leaders last met in June at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), where the UAE head of state was the guest of honor.

Putin pointed out that relations between Moscow and Abu Dhabi had recently reached “an unprecedentedly high level,” describing the UAE as Russia’s largest trading partner in the Arab world.

Emirati military jets drew the Russian tricolor in the skies above the nation’s capital to herald Putin’s arrival.

Camel riders and horse-mounted officers greeted Putin’s motorcade as it made its way from the airport to the presidential palace.

The Kremlin said earlier that the leaders of the two countries will discuss “the prospects for further development of multifaceted Russia-UAE cooperation, as well as pressing international issues with the emphasis on the situation in the Middle East.” …

After Putin concludes his program in Abu Dhabi, he is scheduled to travel to Riyadh for talks with the king and crown prince of Saudi Arabia.

    Putin arrives in Saudi Arabia

Russian President Vladimir Putin landed in Riyadh on Wednesday, as part of his Middle East tour. He is scheduled to meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and other officials of the Kingdom, which is about to become a member of BRICS next month.

Half a dozen high-ranking Saudi officials greeted the Russian leader as he stepped off the plane, and escorted him to a motorcade waiting to take him to the royal palace.

Earlier in the day, Putin visited the United Arab Emirates and met with UAE leader Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Emirates put on a show to welcome him, with fighter jets drawing the Russian flag overhead and a motorcade escort of horse- and camel-mounted guards.

According to the Kremlin, the talks in Abu Dhabi focused on bilateral cooperation, “as well as pressing international issues with the emphasis on the situation in the Middle East.”

Discussions with Crown Prince bin Salman, meanwhile, will touch on the price of oil, the Ukraine conflict, and the situation in Gaza. The two leaders and their aides will also discuss trade and investment plans, according to TASS.

“We expected you in Moscow,” Putin told bin Salman at the start of their meeting, noting that “circumstances necessitated changes those plans.”

“But nothing can hinder the development of our friendly relations,” the Russian leader added. “While here in the region on a planned visit to the UAE, I took advantage of your invitation to meet with you and all the other friends we’ve been developing ties with for the past seven years. But the next meeting should be in Moscow!”

Russia and Saudi Arabia are both members of OPEC+, which agreed last week to further cut production to boost oil prices. Riyadh was approved to join the trade group of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa (BRICS) as of January 2024.

Bloomberg described the Russian leader’s Middle East trip as “defying US and European efforts to isolate him on the global stage.”

Where are the other senators? Did they abstain?

How did this bill get rushed through?
