    Can you summarise, Old bloke?

It starts with the Netanyahu / Clinton meeting you mentioned earlier and asks the perennial question, does Washington control Tel Aviv or does Tel Aviv control Washington?

That earlier meeting between Clinton and Netanyahu probably prompted Obama’s response when Netanyahu called on Obama during his presidency; Netanyahu had to enter via a side door and was told he had to wait as the President was having his lunch.

Protesters calling for a ceasefire in Gaza interrupted an Easter Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York.

The protesters, who were part of Extinction Rebellion NYC’s Palestinian Solidarity group, unfurled a banner with the words “SILENCE = DEATH” written on it.

They were heard chanting “Free, free Palestine” as they were escorted out of the cathedral.

It was in the same St Patrick’s Cathedral where

Reading that notice reminded me of the No D..khead Policy of this blog. Going by observation here, only those who have limited time and want to read and share information, facts and respectful discussions rather than insults and trolling have stayed around with this blog.

Will there be a drop in the commenters on that site (mentioned above) because personal attacks are to be avoided? Would it be considered a restriction of “free speech” if you are not allowed to ridicule and mock other commenters? Drab and boring?

It seems that many sites, even big ones, have this feature of belittling and name-calling of other commenters on the same site. Some sites have thousands of comments for each article, but most of them are sneering of anyone who has different opinions. Could it be that personal attacks and abuse of commenters adds spice to blogs/sites and make them more appealing to readers?

    Serious questions to readers:
    – What are you looking for when you choose which sites/blogs/platforms you visit and read?

    – How do you select the sites where you take part in the comments? Is it based on the “freedom” to say whatever you want to?

    Accountability

    1/
    Covid

Remember the scamdemic where, since 2020, media, celebrities, politicians, governments, influencers, “medical professionals”, organisations and Big Pharma supported the narrative that there was this once-in-a-century pandemic and masks, lockdowns and vaxxes were good, safe and effective?

They warned those who were awake, alert, sceptical and questioned that same narrative. They threatened and used tactics at their disposal to penalise and shut out these truth-seekers from society.

In the past 1 -2 years as the facts have been revealed and more people are speaking up on the negative impacts of the Covid treatments, some of the same media, scientific journals, medical professionals, celebrities and influencers are now presenting themselves as public service advocates and demanding accountability from the government agencies and Big Pharma.

It is good that more people are becoming aware of the truth about Covid. But for them to pretend that they were victims when in reality they were part of the problem because they supported the masking and vaxxing as good for society. They supported the injustice meted out to those who did not take the poison jabs and lost their jobs and careers.

Although it is helpful that they now know the truth, what they did should not be excused and forgotten because many who have suffered ill health or died due to the vaxx could have been saved if these people in influential positions. There are also those who suffered in other ways with mental health, financial or other problems.

There needs to be an accountability for the crimes committed during Covid. Everyone responsible needs to face a fair trial and the consequences. So that it doesn’t happen again.

    Palestine-Israel conflict/Gaza War
    (Zionism)

In the past six months, we’ve seen a big chunk of the media, politicians, governments, influencers, experts, “conservatives” pro-Israel lobby, supporting the narrative that Israel is the victim and that Hamas started it on 7 October 2023.(It was all peace and love before that.) That the Palestinians are the bad guys – use the H-word (Hamas) it helps. The media have done a great job in the gaslighting – the crimes of Hamas and silence on the actions of Israel.

But now, some of these pro-Zionist supporters are beginning to realise that all may not be as they thought so far. That they may have been backing the wrong side as the facts can longer be hidden. The same pro-Zionists who, over the past 180 days called the truth-seekers and truth-speakers Anti-Semites, Jew-haters, Israel-haters and so on ….are slowly beginning to understand that they have been deceived and are seeing the genocide taking place. Some in high profile positions are starting to delete some of their older twitter posts lest it be used against them at a later stage.

But it may not be so easy to erase the past. In October 2023, a twitter account was set up called Accountability Archive as well as a webpage.

It is crowdsourced and collects posts from those sent by others – a record of journalists, politicians, and public figures endorsing or encouraging ethnic cleansing of Gaza and defaming pro-Palestinian Activists.

    (Contd)

Some comments from those wanting accountability.

We’ve already entered the “people quietly deleting their takes about Gaza from October” stage and soon we’ll transition into those same people asking “how could we collectively, all of us together, let this happen”
    .

They will be waving Palestinian flags and pretending like they are the most ardent Palestinian supporters.
    .

We must never let them escape this. This should follow them wherever they go and whatever they do, and they should never be forgiven for supporting a genocide.
    .

they can’t hide anymore. Every single politician, government official, celebrity, media establishment, and influencer that has aided or directly participated in inciting genocidal rhetoric for the last 6 months has been documented.

In the case of Covid, in the early stage (pre-March 2020), I was not sure what was happening. By the end of March 2020, I knew it was not the pandemic it was made out to be. I kept reading a lot from the alternative media sources and kept learning the truth about the masks, lockdowns, treatments and vaxxes.

In the case of this Gaza war, I knew by mid-October 2023 that the truth was not what the media was telling us. In the past 5+ months, I’ve done tons of research and learnt enough to know that, just like Covid, I am on the side of truth along with the very small team on this blog.

There needs to be an accountability for the crimes committed by Israel/Zionists. Everyone responsible needs to face a fair trial and the consequences. So that it doesn’t happen again.

Jared Kushner’s plans to force the Palestinians out of Gaza to the Negev Desert and sell the beach front real estate in Gaza is wrong on so many levels.

Apart from the moral issues of genocide and taking someone else’s land, the Jews (Tribe of Judah) have no historic claim on Gaza. Paradoxically, the land in the Negev Desert was allocated to the Tribe of Judah though they tended to drift northward towards Jerusalem and surrounds, which is the land allocated to the Tribe of Benjamin.

Gaza and the surrounding coastline was allocated to the Tribe of Dan (Samson in Gaza, one of the early heroes of the Israelites, was from Dan). They had ongoing problems and conflicts with the Philistines who lived in Gaza so a large part of that tribe moved north and took up new territory in the region of present day Lebanon, which they called Dan.

The southern part of Dan were to go and create the Israelite colonies in the Mediterranean and the Iberian Peninsula ruled from Qart Hadasht (Hebrew for “New City”), which we know by its Greek name, Carthage. The northern part of Dan were relocated to the northern coast of the Black Sea as a result of the Assyrian conquest of northern Israel around 800 BC.

The southern part of Dan were later to move to Hibernia (Ireland) and northern Wales where they settled as the Tuatha De’ Danann, the northern part later migrated north-west to new land which they called Dan’s Mark, nowadays Denmark.

There was another part of the Tribe of Dan who left Egypt prior to the Exodus, they were an influential minority in Athenian history. Dan loves messing about in boats, they renamed all the major rivers which flow into the Black Sea after their father Dan, i.e., the Dnieper, the Dniester, the Don and the Danube.

Jacob’s (Israel’s) blessings to his son Dan included that he would be “a snake which crosses a path” which means that as a snake’s movement along a dusty surface can be easily traced, so too would Dan’s movements by naming everything he passed as Dan.

Another part of his blessing said that Dan would judge the Tribes. This means that the standards established by Dan would be the bench-mark by which the other tribes would be judged. All people face eventual judgement on both a personal and national level, the Israelites will also face tribal judgement based on how their tribe kept the covenant relative to the Tribe of Dan.

One of the terms of the covenant was that the Israelites were to bring God’s light to the world. Christians know who God’s light to the world is, how have they spread the message of Yeshua Hamashiach around the world?

On a per-capita basis, Denmark has sent more missionaries into the world than all other nations (New Zealand comes in second). Combine that number with the Catholic Priests from Ireland who used to be found all over the world, and Methodist ministers and missionaries from northern Wales, some of whose number would also include descendants of Dan, then you have a sizeable number of Dan spreading God’s light in their diverse doctrinal ways according to the covenant.

Getting back to Kushner, the land he is trying to give away to the Palestinians is the land given to him by God. He really needs to consider what he’s attempting to do.

p.s. If you were speeding in your car in Ireland and you saw the flashing red and blue lights in your rear-vision mirror, the Garda would give you a ticket to appear in court. When you were in court, that stern faced man sitting on the high bench, who we would call the Judge, is called the Dan in Ireland.

Australia’s foreign minister rebukes Netanyahu for‘insensitive’ remarks on aid workers’ killings

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong has criticised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his “deeply insensitive” remarks about the Israeli military’s killing of an Australian citizen and six other aid workers, the Guardian has reported.

Wong said Netanyahu was attempting to “brush aside” the deaths of Zomi Frankcom and her colleagues, and Israel’s explanation for the incident was not acceptable, the newspaper said.

Netanyahu said the killing of the seven aid workers was unintended and “tragic”, but that “these things happen in wartime”.

“I find that statement … frankly, for the family in particular, a pretty insensitive – deeply insensitive – thing to say,” Wong was quoted as saying.

“And what I’d say as the Australian foreign minister is we do not accept that explanation. We do not accept any suggestion that this is just something that can be brushed aside as just something that happens in war.”

Wong made her comments in an interview with Guardian Australia’s Australian Politics podcast that is set to air on Saturday.

Quite a feat. Being more Zionist than Netanyahu.

Even after Israel had accepted responsibility for the deaths of the WCK aid workers, it was still an “allegation” according to Angus Taylor.

Angus Taylor ties himself in knots over an airstrike as the Coalition tethers itself to Israel

Fast-forward 12 years and Taylor also found himself in all kinds of contortions of his own making.

He was sitting alongside the ABC’s Lisa Millar on the set of News Breakfast, being asked about the killing of Australian woman Zomi Frankcom, who died on Monday after an Israeli air strike hit the aid vehicles she and her World Central Kitchen colleagues were travelling in.

War is tragic and so too was Frankcom’s death, Taylor insisted.

When pressed further, he repeatedly said it was an “allegation” that an Israeli air strike had hit the aid vehicles.

Granted, foreign affairs isn’t his portfolio, and maybe he had missed the fact that Israel had accepted responsibility for the deaths.

When presented with Israel’s concession, Taylor repeated that war was tragic and added “Hamas started this off”.

The response of Anthony Albanese and Foreign Minister Penny Wong to the killing of Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom and her fellow workers is understandable. As World Central Kitchen founder Jose Andres says, the “seven angels … were the best of humanity’’. Their deaths, an unmitigated tragedy, were caused by an Israeli airstrike. Reflecting community sadness and anger over the appalling incident is appropriate.
But it would be a mistake to change Australian policy, especially in relation to Iran’s terrorist proxy, Hamas. On Thursday, Senator Wong wisely declared that “Hamas has no place in the future governance of Gaza”. The statement came after the government had hardened its language against Israel, with Senator Wong warning the Jewish state to “change course” or face international isolation. While her statement that Hamas has no place in the future governance of Gaza was welcome, it contains a contradiction. She has also reiterated Australia’s call for an immediate ceasefire and “unlike Mr Netanyahu” urged a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict. As Australia-Israel and Jewish Affairs Council executive director Colin Rubenstein has pointed out, an immediate ceasefire would leave Hamas in control of Gaza. That would be a recipe for further wars and death for civilians, in Israel and Gaza.
Nor is there any prospect of a ceasefire while Hamas refuses to release the remaining 130 hostages kidnapped along with 120 others in Israel on October 7. The slaughter that day of 1200 innocent people, including babies, was the worst mass killing of Jews since the Holocaust. After the massacre, Hamas’s callous misuse of Palestinians, including children and hospital patients, as human shields, and revelations of its vast tunnel network mean the terrorist group must be eliminated. It cannot be allowed to remain in control of Gaza under any circumstances. But a ceasefire would only enable the terrorists to rearm and regroup.
Mr Albanese and Senator Wong should also understand that the Palestinian Authority, despite Washington’s hopes, remains in disarray. It remains incapable of taking over administration of Gaza, much less serve as an effective partner in a two-state solution.
Israel admits its defence forces made a “grave mistake’’ when they destroyed vehicles carrying the aid workers. Israel has accepted responsibility and apologised. A full inquiry and transparent explanation are needed. That is little comfort to grieving families but, as Greg Sheridan writes, it is the “greatest possible contrast to Israel’s enemies, who rejoice and celebrate with abandon the sadistic torture and murder of civilians”. No single incident since the beginning of military action in Gaza has harmed Israel’s standing more. But it would be a mistake, as Sheridan has written, to ratchet up pressure on Israel to “change its ways or lose international support”.
However insensitive Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s response to the deaths – “this happens in war” – it contains an unpalatable truth. The Albanese government should recall, as Sheridan adds, that “there is not a single war in which Australia has participated in which our soldiers, among the finest in the world, have not inadvertently killed some civilians”.
David Kilcullen, who has more hands-on experience than most military analysts, wrote recently in Inquirer: “The notion of a clean, surgical stand-off campaign to destroy Hamas without damaging Gaza or harming civilians – as attractive as it sounds in theory – is simply not practicable.’’
Allowing Hamas to regain or retain a foothold in Gaza, through a ceasefire, would only prolong the acute suffering and pain of Palestinians. It would also threaten the future of Israel, the Middle East’s only democracy and a staunch ally of Australia for 75 years. It is fighting for its survival. And it is in the interests of the free world that it prevails.

Joe Biden has very bad polling.
But maybe it’s not the economy that is driving his unpopularity.
CNBC takes a look at the economic data:

Biden says U.S. economy is world’s best. Trump calls it a ‘cesspool.’ Data is clear.

President Joe Biden is fighting to convince inflation-weary voters that the U.S. economy is healthy.

“America has the best economy in the world,” he told NBC’s “TODAY” on Monday, laying out an argument that is central to his reelection campaign.

America’s economic standing in the world is becoming an early flashpoint on the campaign trail, where former President Donald Trump routinely depicts the United States as a commercial wasteland.

“We are a nation whose economy is collapsing into a cesspool of ruin, whose supply chain is broken, whose stores are not stocked, whose deliveries are not coming,” Trump shouted at a Georgia rally last month.

But the numbers paint a different picture, one more in line with Biden’s narrative of American economic dominance than Trump’s apocalyptic warnings.

Inflation has fallen sharply from its 2022 highs, although it has ticked back up in the past several months.

“On inflation, it is too soon to say whether the recent readings represent more than just a bump,” Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said Wednesday.

Meanwhile, U.S. gross domestic product grew 2.5% in 2023, significantly outpacing that of other developed economies, according to a January report from the International Monetary Fund. The IMF projected that the U.S. will hold that lead in 2024, though it expects the rate to come down to 2.1%.

Two other large advanced economies, Canada and Germany, lagged with 2023 GDP growth at 1.1% and negative 0.3%, respectively.

“The U.S. economy is leading the way for the global economy. It’s driving the global economic train,” Moody’s chief economist Mark Zandi told CNBC.

As economists watch U.S. inflation’s wobbly descent, the numbers still remain hot in developed economies worldwide. In Canada, for example, the consumer price index rose 3.9% in 2023 while in Germany, the inflation rate was 5.9%.

Countries calculate inflation differently, which makes direct comparisons difficult.

But Zandi said that even adjusting for the calculation discrepancies, the U.S. still looks good on the inflation front.

“Using the same methodology as let’s say the European Union, the Fed’s already at target, inflation is already below 2%,” he said.

And even as interest rates spiked, the labor market has stayed strong. In March, U.S. private companies added 184,000 jobs, payrolls processing firm ADP reported on Wednesday, well ahead of the Dow Jones upwardly revised estimate of 155,000 jobs. It is the fastest employment growth the U.S. economy has seen since July 2023.

The stock market has also made record gains over the past several months and housing values have soared, though they have now begun to decline as inventory improves.

Besides sticky high prices that are projected to cool in the coming year, Zandi said that the fundamentals of the current U.S. economy are nearly ideal: “The economy is picture perfect. It’s hard to argue with it.” …

Here is the Editorial from Haaretz, Israel’s newspaper of record:

Israel Must End Its War in Gaza Now – Haaretz Editorial – Haaretz.com
    Apr 3, 2024

The incident in which seven people working for the international aid organization World Central Kitchen – among them Australian, Polish, British and Palestinian nationals and/or dual citizens – were killed in an Israeli aerial attack in the Gaza city of Deir al-Balah, cannot end with just a “comprehensive and transparent investigation” by the Israel Defense Forces, as was promised by Chief of Staff Herzl Halevi. Nor is Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s lukewarm apology – that “it happens in war; we are fully examining this. We are in contact with the governments, and we will do everything so that this thing does not happen again” – sufficient.

This is an especially troubling incident due to the fact that the organization had been coordinating its movements with the IDF and the attack was not a case of mistaken identity. Israeli security sources said the World Central Kitchen’s vehicles were clearly marked as belonging to the organization both on their roofs and on their side panels. They were traveling on a route that had been approved in advance with the army, as was that particular journey.
Nevertheless, the presence of an armed person on a truck and suspicions that he was a terrorist were enough to lead the IDF unit responsible for securing the route on which the convoy was traveling to decide to fire three missiles at it.

This can only be understood as a decision that was in equal parts devastating and pointless. Israel must enable aid organizations, including those belonging to the United Nations, to distribute aid safely and securely. If Israel cannot ensure that, then it should turn over the task to international bodies and designate certain routes as immune from air or ground attacks.

This week’s incident cannot be distanced from the ease with which the IDF kills Palestinians in Gaza, as Yaniv Kubovich’s March 31 report shows. His investigation casts doubt on the IDF’s estimate that 9,000 of the 32,000 Gazans who have been killed in the war are in fact terrorists. Many of the reserve and career officers Kubovich interviewed say that the definition of terrorist is often a matter of wide interpretation. “In practice, a terrorist is anyone the IDF has killed in the areas in which its forces operate,” said a reserve officer who has served in Gaza.

The report found that the terrorist designation is not based on what the individual was doing at the time he was targeted but on whether he entered the “kill zone” established by the local IDF commander. “As soon as people enter it, mainly adult males, orders are to shoot and kill, even if that person is unarmed,” the officer said.

Therefore, it is not enough to simply exercise more caution in authorizing fire. Kubovich’s disturbing report on the number of dead and wounded in Gaza, along with the hunger and vast destruction and now Monday night’s incident should tell us that the time has come to end the war.

The above article is Haaretz’s lead editorial, as published in the Hebrew and English newspapers in Israel.
