    https://kirbiecravings.com/basque-burnt-cheesecake/

    Who came up with cheesecake?
The ancient Greeks, by the fifth century BC, made the earliest known rudimentary cheesecakes (plakous meaning “flat mass”), consisting of patties of fresh cheese pounded smooth with flour and honey and cooked on an earthenware griddle. In late medieval Europe, cheesecake remerged in tart form with a pastry base.

Afghanistan’s army chief has been sacked after a series of catastrophic defeats that has brought the Taliban to within 150km of Kabul and to the edge of Tarin Kowt in the south, where Australian forces were based for nearly a decade and hundreds of former interpreters are trapped while Canberra determines their fate.

New US intelligence suggests the Taliban is advancing at such speed that insurgents could lay siege to the national capital in a month and have full control of the country before the end of the year.

Southeast Ghazni city on Thursday became the 10th of Afghanistan’s 34 provincial capitals to fall in a week as the Taliban moved closer to encircling the nation’s capital, 20 years after they were ousted by US forces.

“The Taliban took control of the key areas of the city – the governor’s office, the police headquarters and the prison,” provincial council chief Nasir Ahmad Faqiri said of the town that serves as a strategic gateway between Kabul and militant strongholds in the south.

With all provinces northeast of Kabul now under Taliban control and Mazar-e-Sharif – the north’s biggest city and an anti-Taliban bastion – entirely surrounded, panic is surging in Kabul ahead of the September 11 deadline for the US troop withdrawal.”

There have been countless limited attendance funerals throughout Australia over the past 20 months. Only a handful of close relatives attending in person and the funeral service live-streamed to the wider family and friends. Many of them have involved the saddest of circumstances, such as stillborns and others who have died too early, too suddenly. That has been and continues to be the reality of the pandemic situation. In the same way as other families have done baby Mia’s family will cope.

And if you wish to blame anyone for it then you should start and finish with the NSW Government. It is their incompetence that has caused the spread of the Delta variant throughout this state. It is not the fault of other states who are attempting to protect their citizens.

“Can anybody explain why Pedersen is such a retard?”

You’re speaking two different languages. Two different epistemological frameworks.

For you, what’s plausible stems from first principles logic. For him, what’s plausible stems from whatever journalists and social media tell him is an acceptable range of discourse.

Logic says his beliefs are impossible, but his mind says that your beliefs are impossible because otherwise journalists and politicians and social media would tell him it was possible.

You can’t persuade such hive minded people. They’ll never have an “oh yes I see” moment. Their beliefs just change and they’ll never be able to discern why as it’s because what is now acceptable discourse has shifted. After they’ve changed they’ll then cling to facts which “prove” their new position is correct and that anybody who disagrees is crazy. It will mean nothing to them that they used to think anybody who held the views they hold now was crazy.

If you want to win you need to start realizing this. You don’t change people’s minds by giving them a Eureka moment you change it by shifting the acceptable discourse.

This means always going on offense.

Found this is an Oz piece detailing the 7- Nilligan’s fuck-up behavior and how she’s cost the ABC/Taxpayer hundreds of thousands of dollars in just one case.

    Read this.

It would have been considered fantasy to draft a rule in the expectation that responsible public sector entities would bankroll someone else’s legal dispute and accept liability in the event of an adverse outcome.

Yet that is what has just happened. And it cannot be allowed to happen again.

The involvement of the ABC in Milligan’s case is beyond dispute. It gave her a financial guarantee and had its communications department, led by Milligan’s partner, Nick Leys, issue statements before and after the Federal Court entered judgment against her this week.

Her “partner” works at their ABC as well.

    What’s this “Report comment” nonsense?

It seems to me the new webmaster is taking the piss and treating us like children.

I’ll come back when it’s fixed.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †
