A huge shock. Warnie was pure entertainment, & despite his air-headedness off the field, a deep & insightful thinker of cricket on the field or as commentator.
Shane Warne was only 52. While he mightn’t have led the healthiest of lifestyles, I’m surprised that he has succumbed to heart disease. I can’t help thinking that vaccine injury might underlie this, but even if he gets an autopsy, they’re unlikely to test for markers of the vaccines or spike proteins to prove or disprove this.

Agree entirely with your first paragraph ColdHands, not sure about the second.
But yeah, needs considering.
Warnie’s “out there” lifestyle might be a connection too. In Thailand.

Shane Warne Gatting Ball of the Century

The Gatting ball is the stuff of legend. Although he beat many with this type of delivery, the fact it was his first ball in England, as Richie Benaud describes, with pressure on him to perform after his coming out series against West Indies, wow.

Being the same vintage as Glen Boss and Shane Warne I would often use these two greats as markers as I aged.
This week I heard Boss had ridden his last ride at the Saudi International meeting, which made me think of Warne and what he was up to – playing poker and travelling the world.
Now Warney is not even with us 🙁

I know very little about the Russia Ukraine conflict, but there does seem to be three ‘perspectives’:
1. Russian Gov is out to conquer the eastern block or at least as much as they can get. Imperial expansion model. Putin evil.
2. Russia Gov wants to encircle and threaten the cities so it has the strongest negotiation position to carve out a bit of eastern Ukraine and keep Ukraine as a demiliarised buffer zone and/or
3. It is all a long term strategy of China and Russia to establish a new world power configuration.
Certainly, all the journos and experts who got it wrong in Afghanistan and Iraq over the last twenty years are in the number 1 category.

Just pondered the other night about Joe McCarthy and his loony assertions that the American government and Hollywood were infested with communist sympathizers and fellow travelers. What a nut! Booked into Bethesda with a toothache and came out in a hearse. Apparently his alcoholism was to blame and the cause of death was hepatitis, heart failure, renal failure and an abundance of corns on his toes. He got his reward.

Shane Warne poor fellow must have felt very ill before the attack and was alone. Maybe for a few weeks he felt not right and was afraid to attend a doctor, thinking too young for anything really serious, as one would.

Candy,
Shane was about to meet four mates for dinner while staying at his luxury villa in Thailand.
He’s dropped dead suddenly at a relatively young age. I’ve posted countless stories of people in public life who ‘died suddenly’ at the same age without any further explanation. Now it’s Shane Warne they can’t just say ‘died suddenly’ and leave it at that. The media narrative now, if the Age is anything to go by, is that Shane was a ticking time bomb because of ongoing health issues. It’s just bullshit.

Ted’ TV review
The New Breed
Well, how did it go for the new breed of entrepreneurs? 2 trendy millennial chaps wanted to save the oceans by recycling old fishing nets into skateboards. But the Asians wouldn’t give them the nets, they had to buy them. And then ship them to China for processing, then on to America. It was getting expensive. Nobody else wanted to save the planet as much as they did. But wait, the skateboards needed wheels and bearings and these had to be bought! Then they couldn’t sell the skateboards because they were just black and people actually buy colourful ones. So if anybody wants a warehouse full of ugly, save the planet skateboards…
Lady millennial wants to save the planet by selling socks with social justice messages but nobody in America (in her social circle) was willing to work for free so she had to outsource production to China and as it was a small order it wasn’t cheap but they arrived and she tried to sell them at a trade fair but it seems save the planet, expensive, ugly socks aren’t particularly popular so she sold only one pair to a smug millenial. So if anybody wants to buy a bedroom full of ugly, save the planet socks…
I can’t for the life of me remember what the third product was other than more of the same. I’d tuned out by then. There were several more segments of people doing their bit, indoctrination in schools of how capitalism has failed, shrieking POC lady about the injustice of it all and one particularly satsifying segment where a super-millennial chap spoke to a room of 5 about how millennials were an unhappy and lazy generation, poverty-stricken and unemployable and loaded with college debt and no way to repay. He had a designer haircut, jeans, T shirt and fancy smart phone. And a useless degree. And it was all Margaret Thatcher’ and Ronald Reagan’ fault. It would be funny if it wasn’t so expensive for the rest of us.
Thank heavens for TV recorders so you can skip quickly through it.
No stars.
