The novel Corona and its variants if they exist have had plenty of opportunity to spread up here. The common cold goes through the population pretty fast every winter, including the last one, and in 2020. Covid however just never took off.

SYDNEY—The Reserve Bank of Australia on Tuesday reduced its weekly government bond purchases but also acknowledged a sharp economic deterioration by pushing out a planned review of its bond-buying program from November to February next year.

RBA Gov. Philip Lowe said the central bank’s weekly bond purchases would fall to 4 billion Australian dollars (US$2.98 billion) per week from A$5 billion…

General Colin L. Powell, former U.S. Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, passed away this morning due to complications from Covid 19. He was fully vaccinated. We want to thank the medical staff at Walter Reed National Medical Center for their caring treatment. We have lost a remarkable and loving husband, father, grandfather and a great American. ‘Doctors say urgent “category one” elective surgeries are being postponed because of a worsening bed shortage in Victorian hospitals, as people suffering painful conditions that impair their ability to work are having operations cancelled to make room for COVID-19 patients.

The number of Victorians waiting for elective surgery has swelled by more than 15,000 people since the beginning of last year and some surgeons now expect that it won’t be until next year that many of the “distressing” restrictions on elective surgeries, aimed at freeing up hospital capacity, will lift.’

Good article about alarmism BS at the Spec; my comment is a doozy, of course:

The climate Chicken Littles haven’t won. We’ve been here before | The Spectator Australia

“I think it is wildly optimistic”.

I do too. When the Climate Sceptics party was formed in 2009 I thought there was a real chance of defeating alarmism because science was still the basis of the argument. Now it is entirely ideology and politics and money. The ideology is more like a cult and people are making $billions from the off-spring of alarmism, renewables. 95% of the media is on board and very few politicians have taken a stand. Plus most of the rich folk swallowed alarmism, Twiggy and Cannon-Brookes for example, and the young have had their forming brains completely brain-washed by the activists in education.

How to fight back against all this?

Keep it simple. For instance in 2020 human emissions of CO2 fell by 30%. Did CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere fall; nope, they didn’t change. Plus several papers by atmospheric physicists came out in 2020 showing nature is responsible for the increase in CO2.

Alarmist predictions: not one has come true. Every year leading alarmists tell us we’ve got 5 years or some short time before the whole thing explodes. They ‘ve been doing this for 50 years, first with global cooling now with warming. None of the ice has melted, the seas haven’t risen, storms and droughts haven’t increased, temperatures have increased but no where near what the models predicted. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. Yet we still see alarmism treated as though Moses has brought it down and it’s the word of God. In fact it’s the word of idiots like Turnball and Rudd, the 2 worst Australian PMs.

Time after time the people have voted with their feet. Every election for the last 10 years has been about alarmism and the people have voted against it. And still the politicians ignore it. Scomo won in 2019 on the basis of coal. The recent Hunter by-election saw Turnball and the greens rejected. How much more evidence do the pollies need? The only conclusion you can reach is the pollies are going to ignore what the people want. Unless PHON, UAP and the DLP step up Australia is stuffed.

It’s even worse with Teh Hole in Teh Ozone Layer – despite ever increasing concentrations of CFCs, the hole manages to shrink to nothing at times, the climate zealots patting themselves on the back trying to take credit via the Montreal Protocol.

“since 1991, the linear [downward] trend observed during the 1980s has not continued, but rather total column* ozone has been almost constant …”

I can’t find the Stew Peters clip at the moment but one particular doctor stated it takes a lot of time to do so. Also, the site would crash and you would have to start the process all over again.

A point was made….it was too hard and time consuming to keep up with the case reporting. That is a problem.

    Real Rukshan:

Premier Daniel Andrews today stated in no uncertain terms that unvaccinated Victorians will remain excluded from economic and social activities well into 2022. Even if 90% of the Victorian community is vaccinated, the Premier will keep unvaccinated Victorians locked out of the community. This is despite other States planning to open up to the entire community at high vaccination rates. The Premier also indicated that double dosed Victorians may face similar hurdles when and if booster shots become required to access the vaccinated economy.

No freedoms for the unvaccinated well into 2022 in Victoria
