    from workers fired for religious objections to Covid vax mandate

    NorthShore University Health System, which operates six hospitals in Chicago and its northern suburbs, will pay more than $10 million to hundreds of workers who were either fired or threatened with termination when the hospital refused to recognize their religious objections to the hospital operator’s order to receive a Covid-19 vaccine.

    Under a settlement deal, about 500 current and former NorthShore employees will receive up to $24,000 each, and potentially get their jobs back.

    The hospital system also agreed to rewrite its policies to accommodate religious objectors in all positions within its organization, to align with religious freedom protections within federal civil rights law. Further, NorthShore can no longer bar unvaccinated employees with religious exemptions from any position within its organization, according to the settlement.

    Pictures from Birmingham show Vaughan-Spruce, 45, simply standing near the abortion clinic silently praying when an officer confronts her. She was not blocking access or displaying any protest signs or material. Nevertheless, she was arrested, jailed, interrogated, and ultimately charged with four counts of violating the abortion clinic “buffer zone.”

    According to reports, the West Midlands Police officer asked her “are you praying?” She responded “I might be praying in my head, but not out loud.”

    That was it. She was arrested for praying “in her head” near an abortion clinic.

    Australian man killed ‘defending the freedom of the Ukrainian people’

    Australian man Sage O’Donnell has been killed fighting in Ukraine, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has confirmed.

    In a statement, O’Donnell’s mother said he had “died in action defending the freedom of the Ukrainian people” and had “always believed in defending country, people and the right for freedom”.

    “Sage passionately upheld his values and served here in his own country and most recently in Ukraine,” she said in the statement, released by DFAT.

    “Sage chose to take action based on his empathy for the Ukrainian people, and the injustice that is taking place. He fell in love with Ukraine and its culture, and was humbled by the kindness and hospitality within his new community.

    “Sage chose to live his life true to his beliefs and cause.”

    It is unclear when exactly O’Donnell was killed or in which part of Ukraine, but his mother, who was not identified in the statement, said his family was “devastated by our recent loss of Sage”.

    “Sage was much loved by his friends and family. Sage’s humour, kind heart, values and laughter will be dearly missed,” she said.

    A spokesperson for the department said it was providing consular assistance to his family.

    The discussion in the video is quite troubling. In this freedom war, it seems like those we thought our friends (on our side) turn out to be traitors.

    Steve, the weather radars also show smoke from bushfires. Is there a fire out north of Alice Springs?
    The fires can also cause pyro cumulus clouds due to the extra heat energy released by the fire. The lines out of Port Hedland are artifacts of the radar. There are similar but not as noticeable out of Brisbane.

    Steyn has been travelling freely between the UK, Canada & France. It is uncertain whether he has travelled through the USA. Some of the travel may have occurred before the three nations lifted their covid vaccination requirement.

    Agree with Scott about Russian reaction. For me the Russophobia, the sanctions, the EU visa ban, the flight ban for ordinary Russian people was disappointing and eye opening. I always believed that Western values were about liberte, fraternite: liberty, brotherhood of nations, equality of rights, right for private possessions, right to live and right to exercise your religion. And I was really shocked that there is no right for Russian people to speak out, no right for Russian reporting to exist in western world, no right for Russian people to have property where they want it to have, no right for Russian people to have money, their money should be stolen or looted. The western values to which I personally was always tanding to lean just turned out to be a joke, a total bluff, zero. And that was really an aha moment for me, a turning point, when I saw that there is no way we can believe these values, the culture is a total fake. And it is high time to glory my culture, it is high time to open a business, a company, to start your own venture, to do something in your country to make it better. Russian people will never accept nacism in any form to any nation. And it was clear that for the high ranking politicians in the West they don’t care if you are educated, cultured, you just have to be Russian and for them these people are just underdogs, untermensh deserving to face something…. and that was just mind blowing that such a philosophy can exist today in 2022 in modern world. Nothing changed. No golden age, no raise of vibrations, all is the same.

    PM Albo says Democracy is under threat all around the world.

    His solution is a “Voice” to Parliament which will divide the country into Yes and No groups. It will cause discrimination. Albo thinks that the voice of the minority should control the majority.

    He has no idea of the meaning of democracy or the real problems facing the country. Instead, he is trying to push this through to be resolved in the next year. Who is pulling his strings?

    For the good of the country, we have to hope that Jacinta Price and Warren Mundine can, through their commonsense and logical debate, lead the way in convincing all colours of Aussies to vote No.
