Tereek — a young man trying hard not to reveal his lack of a home — is desperately looking for a bed for the night, texting friends in hopes that he can crash with them. But just when something comes through, he finds himself helping out Artie, a deaf-blind man waiting for a bus home.
The encounter is anything but straightforward, not only due to their differences in abilities but also their different temperaments and ages. But as Tereek helps Artie navigate a ride home, he learns to see the world through another perspective beyond his own — and broadening his horizons in the process.

In House floor remarks last night, Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), in a back-and-forth with Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s speech to the US Congress was purposely timed to get the omnibus passed.
From elsewhere – So they lied. It wasn’t a welfare check.
About 6 hours ago, Queensland police admitted they’d visited the Train property multiple times (its not clear how many times exactly) throughout the year, looking for former school teacher Nathaniel Train. He was being investigated for “crossing a state border illegally” (during covid lockdowns) carrying firearms registered to him.
It’s becoming clear the Train family felt harassed, had (likely) travelled to attend protests against the lockdowns, were trying to evade arrest and had grown paranoid.
Fair question:
Why did the police lie to the press and the pubic for two weeks, fail to mention the warrant for Nathaniel’s arrest and pretend their last visit was “just a welfare check?” Following up a warrant and jumping a locked gate intending to find and arrest somebody isn’t a welfare check.
What else are they hiding?
Further adding to the suspicious nature of the event, after the Queensland Police Union declared on Tuesday that it intended to purchase the property on which the shooting occurred, last night a suspicious bushfire nearly destroyed the home of the neighbour who was shot during the gun battle. Both incidences will only serve to fuel suspicions of a cover up.

The Swiss government on Wednesday rejected the idea of introducing a third gender option or no-gender option for official records, a position which differs from that of some neighboring countries.
Responding to two proposals from parliament, the governing Federal Council said “the binary gender model is still strongly anchored in Swiss society.”
Speaking to Sky News Australia, the former prime minister said he was very worried the Voice would undermine a fundamental principle of our society, which “We’ve worked so hard to enshrine and succeeded in recent decades in adhering to.”
“In Western countries, we’ve spent hundreds of years, millennia even trying, to get to a situation where we do not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, creed, gender, etc. Where everyone be they slave or free, gentile or Jew, male or female is as one,” Mr Abbott said.

Elon doesn’t know what is happening. There are some other stories of Conservatives who are being locked out. If Elon is not able to work it out, and if he is truly in support of free speech, he needs to appoint a CEO who has the time and skills to get to the bottom of this. Get rid of all those government hacks still continuing with the blocks on conservatives and free speech.
I have no idea, at this stage, if DeSantis can prove himself to be a good Conservative future US President. But, on the action front, I came across these two articles.

An investigation into the Covid vaxxes is long overdue. To get this underway at the level of state government and judiciary is a good sign.
The Florida Supreme Court will convene a grand jury at Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis’ request to investigate any wrongdoing with respect to the COVID-19 vaccines, the court announced Thursday.
The Republican governor, who is often mentioned as a possible presidential candidate in 2024, earlier this month called for the investigation. He suggested it would be in part aimed to jog loose more information from pharmaceutical companies about the vaccines and potential side effects.
Like Reagan Democrats once upon a time, these voters have already reshaped the political landscape in Florida. Can they do the same nationally in 2024?

Ukrainian UN envoy Sergey Kislitsa on Wednesday tweeted an image of the US flag with the stars and stripes displayed in the yellow and blue of his country. While supposedly an attempt to express US-Ukrainian solidarity, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova described it as reflecting Kiev’s subordinate status in the relationship.
Kislitsa tweeted the stock image as President Vladimir Zelensky visited Washington on Wednesday. The Ukrainian leader met with President Joe Biden and delivered a speech before US lawmakers, pleading for more support in Kiev’s conflict against Moscow. “They will stand together as long as it takes,” the tweet read.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova reacted by calling it “the new flag of Ukraine.”
“The thing about which we have been speaking for many years, and nobody believed us, has happened. My congratulations!” she added.

It has often been said that the US will fight the Russians till the last Ukrainian, it looks like were already there. All male Ukrainians from 16 to 60 have been conscripted into their army, now that net has been increased to include 13 year old, 14 year old and 15 year old boys and the disabled!
If this slaughter of Ukrainian’s future isn’t bad enough, these conscripts receive a 3 week basic training course in NATO countries before they are sent to their needless deaths. They are trained in Slovakia, Poland and England, these countries should hang their heads in shame for participating in this slaughter.
