    Argentina’s annual inflation hits 79pc

    Argentine annual inflation surged to 78.5 per cent in August, almost certainly cementing another central bank interest rate hike as early as this week.

    That was faster than the 78.2 per cent median estimate from analysts, and marks a new three-decade high, according to government data published Wednesday.

    Consumer prices rose 7 per cent from a month earlier.

    Yep, any thought on where to go -i.e. an alternative?
    BTW – there was an interesting article in the Oz on UniSuper. It seems the woke professors’ stash is indeed in non-renewables ( mind you, if you wait long enough, coal is a renewable – but that is beside the point). Expect to see outrage and many proforma emails sent to UniSuper.

    Elsewhere he claims “It’s hard not to take Charles naming William as the Prince of Wales as anything other than a kick in the face,” Dorante-Day said.

    Clearly he’s delusional in at least one regard. Even if his paternity claim is true, as an unacknowledged royal bastard, he’s not going to displace a legitimate heir.

    There has been much anticipation about Republicans winning the House in November. The problem here is the makeup of these Republicans. How many Rinos? How many true Conservatives?

    We can talk about the Left taking over, but where is the counter resistance from the opposite side? Where are the Conservatives? How many are the true-blues and how many fakes?

    The core of Conservative tradition is the family – that is the age-old one: Man (biological male) marries woman (biological female) and they procreate. With those children, they form a family.

    Anyone who does not agree with those basic facts cannot be called a Conservative.

    The Dems have put out a bill called “Respect for Marriage Act” (aka Homo “marriage” settled in law.) 47 House Republicans joined all the House Dems in voting to pass it. Will it pass the Senate? Only 10 Rinos needed.

    Sweden election: PM Magdalena Andersson concedes victory to right-wing opposition

    Sweden’s right-wing opposition appears to have won a thin majority in the country’s parliament with nearly all votes counted.

    Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson said that she would resign and that preliminary results were clear enough to draw conclusions. She said that it was important that Sweden gets a new government as soon as possible.

    Leader of the nationalist Sweden Democrats, Jimmie Akesson, declared victory for the four-party bloc and pledged to “put Sweden first.”

    Ulf Kristersson of the conservative Moderates, who is the most likely candidate for the post of Prime Minister, said that the new government will “get Sweden in order.”

    “I will now start the work of forming a new government that can get things done, a government for all of Sweden and all citizens,” Kristersson said.

Gal’s head is busted up. Gal looking for the early finish. OH! Hodges rocks Gallen with a relentless combination. Another right hand lands on the left-side of Gallen’s noggin.     I picked up a paper at the library called Local Govt Focus. 26 pages of how local councils are wasting your money on virtue signalling.
    Article about Sally Cap, Mayor of Melbourne and how she’s wanting to reintroduce a tiny, flightless grasshopper (locust) to various parks there. Got about 3000 of the critters so far. On it’s way to extinction as it only survives in places gummints concrete over. “It will attract wildlife and birds to the area and is an abundant food source for praying mantis, lizards and birds”.
    So, a tasty, defenceless, cute little bug is to be introduced, at enormous expense, where all previous attempts have failed, to an area where it’s destined to be eaten or to starve to death.
    Even for Silly Crapp this is astonishingly stupid.

    The idiocy of local government can never hit bottom. Suffering, as they do, from a permanent inferiority complex (which is based in fact) they will fall for any proposal that they hope will make them look better.

    I remember when a lot of them put up signs declaring their fiefdoms ‘nuclear free zones.’ Presumably, if a nuclear bomb ever did fall in the vicinity, the signs provided a handy force shield.

    I just watched a SBS doco called Britain’ Vaccine Triumph. Taskforce of high flyers. Nobody suspicious that they never had a live vaccine to work from and after many years of trying and failing to manufacture a coronovirus vaccine suddenly they succeeded. And had all the backup data showing how safe and effective it was. And after all the work was done in the UK, suddenly, manufacturing was outsourced to big pharma. And the deaths didn’t matter because the vaxxes saved so many more lives. Taskforce head was a venture capitalist… married to Conservative MP!!!     I lived in Leederville late 90s. Went to that place many times for a cup of suds on friday before rugby Saturday. Also had a few meals in most of the italian places in northbridge.

    There is a high chance you and I have come across each other. Maybe not, i usually ended up at the Hip-e club, paraletic and learning why dancing in the modern style is pointless

    Remember when the Kallis brothers bought that place at the end of leederville and turned it into a fishmongers? They had the best hangover BLT ever.
