    Fr. Mike Schmitz:
Pray The Mass Like Never Before

While many people go to Mass every week, few people know what it is to worship. We show up and do our best to “pay attention,” but for too many of us, this just means we watch closely. You have been given a gift that you have most likely left unused. This gift is unused because it is largely unknown. This presentation will uncover this unknown and unused gift so that you can stop watching the Mass and start worshipping at Mass.

If you are unsure about the veracity of a news item, ask yourself:
    Who is narrating the story?
    Do they have an agenda?

What you see reported in the media should not be swallowed as factual. Most would agree with this when it is the MSM. But in the context of the US Elections, the caution applies to both Legacy and “Conservative” media from all sources. I have explained this in last month’s US Elections thread. I will get to it again in the next few weeks/months.

Had the outcome not been of great global concern – who will win the WH in 2024? – this ongoing drama would provide much entertainment. It also continues to shed awareness and enlightenment on the main characters and their supporters.

I am repeating this – I try to verify but I can’t spend too much time. Some of the info/links are the facts, some not yet verified, some to be taken with a grain of salt. As for the memes floating around on social media, I keep tossing up whether I should share them on the blog or not.

I saw/heard the commentary from Sky News Ross Greenwood yesterday on the RBA decision and governor comments.

Ross states that the RBA wants one more rate rise in its arsenal in the event of having put a final nail in the coffin of inflation. He leaves it at that without challenging that narrative. Rates here are not even in restrictive territory, and our lower rates are putting pressure on the dollar – which itself is inflationary.

    The Duran: fabulous, personable.
    Redacted: no
Colonel Douglas Macgregor: Brilliant, when you can find him. They (random bloggers) splice and dice previous interviews and repost to look current to get advertising revenue.
Andrew Napolitano/Judging Freedom: Drives me nut with his ignorance – good God, he was a judge.
Russell Brand: over the top, like watching a manic exercise video.
    Avi Yemini: good occasionally.

The best is, without a doubt, Robert Barnes ( minus Frei). Half of the above have ‘headline’ mentality and need to keep the audience. Duran, Col Macgregor and New Atlas do not. They give straight down the line intelligence.

    Interested observer,

I am pleased to be wrong …… in this case.
And your choice of fave Aussie blog is nice good super-excellent. ^‿^

There are many who come in to read what is posted. But if we only have readers and no posters, there will be nothing to read. I value this blog and I want it to stay running. However, if there is not much being posted, it may end up being shut down by the blog owner.

Even though I am busy, I try to get in here and post something as my contribution to keeping the show on the road. Now, it seems as if there are at least three of us who have chosen this as our only Cat blog. I am happy to be wrong if there are others. If we all want it to continue, we would need to work towards it.

…just as I find something worth posting, somebody else has beaten me to it.

Months ago, I had posted this set of links that anyone who wants to take part in the blog can check out for news of any kind that would be in keeping with what we post here. There will always be something that has not been posted, or even if someone has posted the news but you have the story from a different source, post it. It is a different viewpoint. Or add your opinion about the news item.

    A Tale of Two Germanies

Thirty-three years after reunification, the country’s wounds are rawer than many would like to admit.

Much of the modern—unified—German national narrative rests on the premise that East Germany was a blip in time, an aberration of history that met its rightful downfall. Given the extent to which Germany today dwells on its World War II past, it is striking how prone many Germans are to brushing over the history of East Germany—a state that not only existed for a period much longer than the Third Reich, but also crumbled far more recently./em>
