Sometimes, we can be living in our own little bubbles and not know what is happening elsewhere. These first-hand experiences can’t be read in the MSM. So this is a good way for us to learn what is happening in communities in our own country.

Nick Fuentes – a speech without a teleprompter.

Nick is referring to Trump in 2015 telling Jewish donors that they will hate him as he doesn’t need their money. This was at the annual gathering in Las Vegas where Republican hopefuls prostate themselves in front of the Chosen Ones.

Trump was using his Art of the Deal skills. He built up his following with ordinary folk, who believed Trump would work for their interests. Once Trump had the enormous frenzied support of the MAGA movement, he struck the deal with mega-donor Sheldon Adelson to switch from Rubio to Trump.

As we know from living through the Trump Presidency, it was Israel First all the way. What I believe Nick is missing is the 2015 Trump was never America First; Trump knew the reality of US politics – donor interests come first.

“America First” was not coined by Donald Trump or anyone in the MAGA movement.

    Opinion | Haaretz Editorial

Editorial | If Netanyahu Wants to Accuse the Israeli Army of Treason, He Must Stop Hiding Behind His Son

For years, Yair Netanyahu has played a key role in the network of poison operated by diehard fans of his father, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He uses his social media accounts to incite, divide, sneer, assail and libel everyone in his father’s and his fans’ list of targets – leftists in general, journalists, Supreme Court justices, legal advisers, police commissioners, army officers, chiefs of staff, opposition members, political rivals and, finally, cabinet members marked as hostile to Netanyahu and his movement.

Because the younger Netanyahu has no official position and is ostensibly just a private individual expressing his opinions, over time, a kind of consensus has formed that at the very least we must accept his comments, however nauseating they may be, or, at most, view them as another example of the collapse of statesmanlike behavior.

Consequently, this should no longer be viewed as acceptable. The younger Netanyahu’s messages should be attributed directly to his father.

This week, without a drop of shame, Yair Netanyahu implied that the October 7 massacre was the result of treason by army officers. Following the Supreme Court’s decision to freeze a state comptroller’s investigation into the conduct of the Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet security service before and after October 7, he tweeted, “If there was no treason, why are they so afraid of having independent, external bodies look into what happened?” But instead of being shocked by the son’s behavior, we should attribute the accusation of treason against the army to his father, the prime minister.

Over the weekend, Yair Netanyahu posted a video that termed IDF Chief of Staff Herzl Halevi, Shin Bet director Ronen Bar and the outgoing director of Military Intelligence, Aharon Haliva, “three deadly failures.” In other words, at the height of a war, the prime minister was ridiculing and belittling his chief of staff and his Shin Bet director.

The fact that the elder Netanyahu impotently disavows his son’s posts is meaningless. This is part of the poison machine’s modus operandi. The pattern is tiresomely familiar.

Last month, Yair Netanyahu posted a video in which a masked man who identified himself as an army reservist threatened Defense Minister Yoav Gallant with a mass refusal to obey orders if control of the Gaza Strip were handed over to either Hamas or the Palestinian Authority and even mentioned the possibility of a military coup. The video was later removed. In practice, what this means is that the prime minister was threatening the defense minister.

It’s not enough to banish the younger Netanyahu to Miami. We have to put an end to this farce – especially since he is being guarded by the Shin Bet and funded by the taxpayers. If the prime minister wants to accuse army officers and intelligence officers of treason, let him say so. He needs to stop hiding behind his son and speak directly to the public.

The above article is Haaretz’s lead editorial, as published in the Hebrew and English newspapers in Israel.

Malaysia is planning to join the BRICS grouping of emerging economies, the Southeast Asian country’s leader has said.

In an interview with Chinese media outlet Guancha, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said his government would soon begin the process of joining the bloc, once it had received feedback from South Africa.

“We have made our policy clear and we have made our decision. We will start the formal process soon. As far as the Global South is concerned, we are fully supportive,” Anwar said, according to the Shanghai-based outlet.

Anwar also backed comments by Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva criticising the dominance of the US dollar in international trade.

“Last year Malaysia had the highest investment ever, but the currency was still attacked. Well, it has eased in the past few weeks. But it doesn’t make sense, it goes against basic economic principles,” Anwar was quoted as saying.

“Why? A currency that is completely outside the trade system of the two countries and is irrelevant in terms of economic activities in the country, has become dominant, purely because it is used as an international currency.” …

… The Malaysian leader also took aim at a “Western narrative” that he said focused excessively on Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel.

“People keep talking about October 7, which annoys me. Do you want to erase 70 years of history by harping on one event? This is the Western narrative. You see, this is the problem with the West. They want to control the discourse, but we can no longer accept it because they are no longer a colonial power and independent countries should be free to express themselves,” Anwar said, according to Guancha.

Israeli ‘extremist’ says Gaza should have been reduced to ashes
    By Chip Le Grand

A former Israeli parliamentarian who once held a position in Benjamin Netanyahu’s government told an online gathering of Australian Jews this week that Israel should have abandoned adherence to international law and reduced Gaza to ashes.

In a series of incendiary claims, Moshe Feiglin, the leader of Israel’s far-right Zehut party, said there was no such thing as Palestinians, Palestinian statehood was the biggest lie of the 20th century and that Gaza should be resettled by Jewish Israelis and Arab families encouraged to leave.

“What Israel should have done to Gaza, on the 8th of October, was exactly what the British people did in Hamburg and Dresden and exactly what the American people did in every Japanese city they could reach,” he told a Zoom meeting hosted by the Australian Jewish Association (AJA).

“They burnt them to ashes. No ridiculous humanitarian aid. The burnt those cities…

In a groundbreaking archaeological discovery, the Israel Antiquities Authority announced Thursday that a natural gas company’s standard survey of the Eastern Mediterranean floor had uncovered the most ancient ship ever found in the deep seas.

The discovery of the remains of the ship from the 14th-13th century BCE proves that Late Bronze Age mariners could navigate the seas without a line of sight to the shore, contrary to what was previously believed, the IAA said.

The approximately 3,300-year-old ship with a cargo of hundreds of intact amphorae was found 90 kilometers off northern Israel’s coast, at a depth of 1.8 km.

Rambling Thoughts About Blogging on this Site

    A-1/
Following on from my two comments here, I will be posting a few more comments over the next few days. Some may be long comments and readers can stop and read, or scroll past, as they choose.

We have a free speech platform and I am using it to express my thoughts and to rant. I won’t feel hurt if no one reads these comments. Or if you read and want to respond, that’s okay too.

We are coming up to three years since Sinc’s blog was closed and Adam set up this blog. During the first weekend of the blog, Adam told us that it would be a Free Speech site and would apply the No D..kheads Policy. Initially, this blog was similar to Sinc’s in commenters, content and the nature of the blog. However, a few months later, many moved on to other pastures. A few of us stayed on and kept this site running.

I have remained here because I like the simplicity of this blog. It is a free gift of a free speech site – all costs for the blog are paid for by Adam. We are not asked or expected to donate, or see Donate pop up windows, or to have Ads floating on the site to pay for the costs. And those of us who post here don’t get paid for it. The No D..kheads Policy rules require us to be respectful of the commenters on the blog – no personal attacks or abuse. And to be careful about posting something that could cause legal problems for the blog. That’s all. Just the basic rules of courtesy. Other than we are free to post anything.

I have liked coming in here because it gives me a platform for free speech – to come in, read what’s posted by others, have my say and then go away. There isn’t an atmosphere of unpleasantness, infighting or ego issues. For those who are time-poor and like the blog in its current format, this offers a great opportunity for speaking out on any topic.

The enemy is outside the gates – WEF, UN, globalists, bureaucrats, tyrants, Big Pharma, Big Tech. We need to expose, mock, ridicule and resist them.

Inside the blog, we are people who just want our freedoms, peace, justice and be allowed to live our lives without the great overlords telling us what is good and bad. We need to unite and fight against the enemy outside this site not with each other inside. We can agree, disagree, debate or discuss. But, in here, we need to follow the basic courtesies and respect for those who are part of this blog.

As the number of regulars on the blog declined, the nature of the blog changed. Then, some of the regulars broke the rules and were out. With the major events and wars around the world, the blog focus has shifted more to the serious news and less to the lighter items. So it may be that the few others who were part of this blog may have decided that the site is too boring, drab or unexciting – not enough funnies, jokes, entertainment and social chatter – and moved on.

It got to the stage, last month, where it seemed that mh and I are the only ones posting here. Just two of us who have been posting regularly for 3 years. I suppose it must be because we have common goals: we just like to share what we come across from other sites and we don’t bother whether someone responds to our comments or not. We don’t take it personally.

We’ve probably lasted here because we don’t have ego issues, or need pats on our backs or nice things said about us. We also prefer the focus on the serious issues like the wars and related matters. And now, we are probably being described by Zionists as being “antisemitic” and by Magadonians as having “TDS”.

Why did you seemingly come to the decision that the 2020 election was legitimate?

    Massie:

The position I came to was Pelosi controlled Congress in 2020, so throwing the election to Congress was a dead end. What do your friends say about this?

Also, the states decide which electors to send us. Overturning the electoral college with Congress is a terrible idea

    Then, he added this:

Do you find it interesting that Trump didn’t have his DOJ investigate the election? Barr left in December. Why didn’t the new AG that Trump hired investigate either?

The Magadonians in the threads don’t like Massie’s answer. They wanted him to say the 2020 election was not legitimate – it was stolen.

Nigel Farage claims the West provoked Putin’s invasion of Ukraine

The West provoked Russia into invading Ukraine, Nigel Farage has said.

The Reform UK leader said that the “ever-eastward expansion of Nato and the European Union” gave Vladimir Putin a reason to justify war.…

… Farage was asked why he had “blamed the West” for Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

He said: “Right, I’ll tell you what you don’t know, I stood up in the European Parliament in 2014 and I said, and I quote, ‘there will be a war in Ukraine’.

“Why did I say that? It was obvious to me that the ever-eastward expansion of NATO and the European Union was giving this man a reason to his Russian people to say, ‘they’re coming for us again’ and to go to war.”

… Asked if he was saying the West “provoked the invasion of Ukraine”, Farage responded: “Yes.”

He added: “By the way, I’m the only person in British politics that predicted what would happen, and of course everyone said I was a pariah for daring to suggest it.

“George Robertson, former Labour cabinet minister, who went on to become the secretary general of NATO, has in the last couple of weeks said the war is a direct result of the EU expansion.”

… Another opinion poll on Friday night put Farage’s party just ahead of the Tories, with Whitestone Insight finding Reform was on 20 per cent of the vote share and the Conservatives on 19 per cent.

Occasionally, someone will come in and post a comment, then disappear into lurking mode. Why is that? I don’t know. I think this is a great blog because of the content. I am posting anyway to share for anyone who wants to read and learn. We don’t have Likes, Upvotes, Followers or any sign to know that there are others here as well. It would help if there are some of you who value what we post on the blog and want to keep it running, would put in a bit of effort to post regularly. You don’t have to post something profound or a long post. Just a commitment to come in regularly and take part by contributing something to the thread. There are plenty of topics to discuss and it is an Open Thread.

Sitting back and expecting that mh or kaysee will come in and keep the “show” on the road doesn’t help the blog. I know that I am busy, and I guess that mh is busy too. But we value the blog and we put in some time and effort to keep it going. I’ll do what I can for as long as I can.

Having a truly free speech site is getting rarer. Twitter is not quite the benchmark for free speech (separate comment on that). There is another site I used to visit regularly but don’t go there as often because, recently, there has been an in-your-face Donate pop up that comes up reminding you to Donate. The site now is more interested in its national rankings than being a free speech site. When you receive donations, at some stage, you have to stop pretending that you are a free speech site. Those who donate will be the ones who decide what you can say and how far you can go.

Some media sites like the Sky one here in Aus, will get hundreds of comments for their articles. But you can predict what the comments will be – the pro-LNP, pro-Trump, pro Israel vs a minority opposing them. Some others, overseas, like Breitbart, have thousands of comments for their articles – again the comments will be pro-Trump, pro-Israel vs a small number opposing them.

You can be a Conservative but if you don’t fall in with the pre-defined views and opinions – the “conservative” narrative, you will be called names and get blacklisted (cancel culture is not just practised by the lefties).

Why am I sharing all this?
I hope it will motivate others.

I was a lurker on Sinc’s blog. Had never blogged before (except for a short while on a health forum, but that was related to medical issues). I wanted to take part in the Cat blog, but it seemed so intimidating. Finally, I hopped in and started posting. Simple stuff – news, articles. I didn’t bother about whether anyone is reading or replying to what I posted. Over time, it slowly got easier to do. Sinc’s blog was my first experience with real blogging

This blog is my second one. A few months after Adam set up the blog, I emailed him and offered to write Posts. At that time I thought, maybe, I’d write an occasional article. That’s all. I was surprised when I got the posting rights to get in and directly write posts. I also had some ideas for a CatWiki that I shared with Adam. We had a few discussions on it, but then Adam was very busy and that was it.

I had never used WordPress before to write Posts or create a Wiki. Initially, I did not know what to do. I could write the article, but how do I get it all set up and published on this site? I started going through WordPress sites and videos to learn how to do it all. Write, format, em-bed, link, images and so on. I practised and tested. Slowly, I learnt how to do it. Now, it is no problem. I enjoy learning and experimenting – whether in comments or in the blog posts – and the outcome is satisfying. So on this blog, I have been both writing both comments and Posts. I have benefitted from it, and I hope that others have also gained from my contributions.

I prefer to come to this blog to interact because it is like a street library – come in when I can, take info shared by others and share info that I have. I do it for the love of learning and sharing. I seek the truth and am willing to read a lot and research. I learn from what others have shared on other sites and social media. I can’t keep that to myself. I need to pass it on and this is a good place for that. Putting content together, writing drafts and edits takes time. But if it helps others to learn, I am happy to do so.

The choice you have to make is:
Do you want to take part or do you prefer to just watch “the show”?

If you are a reader/lurker, you know the kind of content posted here. If you want to take part, post a comment. Just one sentence about something in the news. Or something that happened in your neighbourhood or workplace or while you were out shopping that is related to the issues that are related to the problems we face.

A few days before Anzac Day,, Destroyer D69 asked this question.
    Do we have an answer?

Last century, there was a call up for citizens to join up to fight battles on foreign lands, to protect their country. They did so and went with weapons to bloody battlefields. Some of them returned injured – physically and emotionally, others were back in body bags.

They fought for our freedoms. They gave their lives so we could live freely in peace.

It is said that the pen is mightier than the sword.
Are we using our pens/keyboards/keypads to fight for our freedoms? Would the Anzacs be proud of us for continuing to fight for that which they gave their lives for? To ensure that our liberties are not taken from us? That we are not being censored, forced into Digital IDs, WHO pandemic treaties, not allowed to use cash as a method of payment, have decisions made by unelected organisations, overseas?

If we are not doing our part to fight the battle, can we sit back and complain about corruption or wokeness around us, and how politicians and governments are controlled by outside forces? If our society, country, world is in dire straits, do we expect someone else to go and battle for us? Someone else to spend their free time protesting? Someone else to use their leisure hours fighting against politicians and governments?

If each of us is not prepared to get into battle mode and fight, we can’t complain about what is happening. If everyone chooses to sit back and lurk, there will be no posters on blogs and nothing for lurkers to read.

But, as a few have observed, we’re still living among a majority who haven’t.

Commenting in appreciation of the quiet awareness of this blog.

    JULIAN ASSANGE IS FREE

Julian Assange is free. He left Belmarsh maximum security prison on the morning of 24 June, after having spent 1901 days there. He was granted bail by the High Court in London and was released at Stansted airport during the afternoon, where he boarded a plane and departed the UK.

This is the result of a global campaign that spanned grass-roots organisers, press freedom campaigners, legislators and leaders from across the political spectrum, all the way to the United Nations. This created the space for a long period of negotiations with the US Department of Justice, leading to a deal that has not yet been formally finalised. We will provide more information as soon as possible.

After more than five years in a 2×3 metre cell, isolated 23 hours a day, he will soon reunite with his wife Stella Assange, and their children, who have only known their father from behind bars.

WikiLeaks published groundbreaking stories of government corruption and human rights abuses, holding the powerful accountable for their actions. As editor-in-chief, Julian paid severely for these principles, and for the people’s right to know.

As he returns to Australia, we thank all who stood by us, fought for us, and remained utterly committed in the fight for his freedom.

    Julian’s freedom is our freedom.

Julian Assange on his way to Australia

Julian Assange is a free man and is on his way home to Australia.

Video shows Assange boarding a charter flight with no handcuffs, no visible prison guards or any other restraints.

The video released by WikiLeaks shows Mr Assange boarding a private plane at 5pm UK time on Monday.

The plane left London’s Stansted Airport at 6pm bound for Saipan, an island in the western Pacific Ocean. The reason Assange is flying to Saipan is so he can sign off on the plea deal in a United States territory.
