Hi Cats,
As you can see I have created a copy of the Cat for you to continue to bicker, argue and occasionally make a reasonable point.
I do hope a solution is found with the original Cat but just in case Sinc doesn’t want to transfer the site to a new generation I have built a replica before the closure so we can migrate as many of the community across as possible.
Programming Note: I rushed out the site so there will be bugs. I can get them fixed but did not want perfection to get in the way for progress.
Community Note: Please let as many cats know of the new blog as soon as possible so we can capture the magic of the original. In particular would love for the original posters to continue their great work here.
Ideological Note: I am an infrequent poster but long time reader of the Cat. The discussions there have been a huge part of my own ideological growth on many issues. In particular free speech is key for me so will have a very similar light touch to the original Cat, potentially adopting my one policy on an earlier forum I built: “No D***heads” which is subjective but surprisingly easy to implement.
Website Note: I will run the Cat as close to possible as the original because I don’t believe in re-inventing the wheel. However if the community so wants I am happy to make changes to improve the experience so if you have any ideas let me know. For anything specific hit me up at the contact form, else go nuts in the comments.

I agree. The Cat that we farewelled so sadly was a moderated place, lightly moderated, but moderated nevertheless. Genuine wingnuts, as exemplified by Graeme Bird, were turfed, no arguments. Anne and others here a couple of years ago were posting links to Q sites showing ‘proclaimed cannibalism’ and paedophilia in New York high society, which of course included Elders of Zion stuff. It’s all from the same apple tree. One of the ‘ooo spookie’ links showed an art show, with a human body as a cake. It was a disgusting concept that trendy lefties might have thought was very edgey. And that is all it was, and that is all any of the other stuff from which conspiracy froth was being developed, including call outs for pizza on mobile phones.
Yes, there is an underbelly to all societies, but to make a grab bag of it as a world-wide conspiracy and speak of Lizard People and children held captive in sewers and other nonsense, this is not the sort of rationality for which the Cat is renowned. As for the creation of fantasies, often anti-semitic, around the fall of the towers on 9/11. People died there. It does a disservice to their memories to engage in non-evidenced conspiracies about their loss of their lives. Anti-semitism pervades these dubious conspiracy sites. It has no place here nor do links to such sites.
The wingnuts have piled into Nilk’s site. My own reading of that site is now largely full of ‘blocks’ that I have created because I don’t want to engage with wingnuts. I was hoping it wouldn’t happen here.
Adam, what is your view on all of this. It is your site, so far, but its success depends upon the number of Cats who come here to seek genuine debate about opposing viewpoints. You can’t do that with people who read the Elders of Zion and similar stuff.

I do remember a CGI animation the Clinton administration released in a video explaining what the web was.
It had a giant cybernetic female reaching over and touching neuron like optical fibres which then sparked up and started transactions somewhere, after she first received some internet juice herself, prior to being made conscious.
You can interpret that any way you like. That’s even if I can remember that correctly.

SRR, Sinc axed you. I was hoping that you were coming back in here as a level-headed commenter with much to say about your family’s difficult times in post-war Europe. Exactly. That clip needs to be played back to him hourly, along side his more recent edicts about restrictions on the rights and freedoms of those who are sensible enough to wait before being jabbed, or who outright refuse, as is their right and responsibility per his (not much) earlier pronouncement.
The bugger cannot have it both ways, and it’s remarkable that he has managed to make two such clearly opposing statements within about a week or less – without a single media person picking him up on it.
And this in the absence of any notable positive mention of the use of HCQ or ivermectin protocols as either prophylactic or treatment, which from overseas experience and studies indicates would be a better solution than the dubious jabs. In fact, in Qld it’s illegal to prescribe these useful drugs to treat the couf, on pain of 6 months jail. What sort of government specifically outlaws the use of something that can save lives? Utter arseholes.
Of course, morrison can ramrod any change to the law he likes through what pretends to be our parliament at present. How that stacks up against the Constitution, any UN human rights charters, Helsinki Agreement, Nuremberg Code etc., I don’t know. It’s all become pretty well pointless in a way; they’re doing whatever the hell they like, and have “might” on their side, even though they do not have “right”.

“Simmo” was a contemporary of your 1 RAR Uncle who did Korea in 1952. Simmo was 3 RAR and went to Korea in 1950 and 1953. They both ended up serving in the same unit in Vietnam. It might a read that you’d be interested in?
After Simpson VC was recommended for the award of the Victoria Cross, they scoped around for a cushy, less dangerous job for him to do. They slotted him into the command of a Provincial Reconnaissance Unit in a sleepy Mekong Delta province.
If you listen to Douglas Valentine and nobody should. PRU’s were the assassination elements of the debil debil “Phoenix Program.” Four years of investigation it took to produce the Brereton Narrative and they totally missed the bit that stuck out like dogs balls…
It’s not as if Lutley and Malone didn’t tell them.

Tinta, your email shouldn’t be used like that, but it’s easy to believe the possibility that an opportunist with access would make a quiet copy, whether among the confusion of Cory turning out the lights or even earlier.
Of course, identifying the perpetratior (sic) may be difficult and beyond the interest of those who should pursue such things. Don’t forget also that restrictions on unsolicited emails do not apply to political parties, if I recall correctly.
