My impression is that it was likely meant as a weapon but was released by accident – before it was ready.
While the Chinese government would, I believe, think little of letting their people suffer, the outbreak in Wuhan would not give as good information as a more rigorously set up, and precisely calibrated for specific classifications, test. Which they would do on prisoners and others whose only worth was as a scientific resource.

I find the manner in which the ABC news at 7pm airily dismissed today’s reported death of the young woman from blood clots caused by AZ totally offensive.
The essential issue is that woman is dead because she was persuaded to have an experimental vaccine that promised reduced risk from COVID 19.
The question remains…….would she ever have contracted Covid? And if she did, would she have died, given that the majority of people survive the infection?

Doctor grand daughter who has had a hard year of long working hours is about to start annual holidays . The same holiday place as last year, lock down . Third grand daughter about to leave for Uni in NY to do Masters , farewell dinner on Sunday now cancelled . Well I did warn Cats that Chairman Dan, who by the way took an hour on tv to tell us we were in lockdown again so I went downstairs before the 8 pm lockdown for a drink at the bar.
This will go on with more lockdowns until 75%to 80% vaccinated. Virtually no country has done this . China would take the opportunity to take Taiwan whilst world in covid turmoil however have they escaped Delta?
