    Stock Moronic variant?

    I expect so.
It’s like a cold but skips from the first day to the last of a common cold cycle.
I felt rough, but symptoms minor, mostly a headache/brain fog.
Went to bed early last night once I started to shiver. Sweat during the night.
Then Sunday not too bad, felt better throughout the day.
    Hardly any symptoms left.

My experience with most colds is I would have at least two days with really bad symptoms, then go the shivering/sweating stage.

It seems that if you are unvaxxed your immune system can handle Omicron far more easily than the common cold. Obviously if you have a shot immune system that changes the outcome.

Apparently the headache is due to Cytokine inflammation proteins fighting infection in the bloodstream.

Steve T, that article about nurses is spot on. I don’t think we are as far down the track as the UK, but my only stint in hospital 20 years ago was a horrible experience thanks to the poor quality of nursing during the ten days I was there. It was a large public hospital.

I rarely saw a nurse the whole time, and when I tried to call one it was entirely random whether or not anyone responded. The nursing station was a long way away, and there were always three or four of them sitting around chatting, but they were not to be seen in the actual wards.

The ward itself appeared to be reasonably clean, but the bathroom had black mould in it. Couldn’t believe my eyes!

Despite the endless bleating about lack of money undermining the quality of care, the real reasons are cultural and managerial, and nobody has the guts to do anything about it.

Cytokines are small proteins that are crucial in controlling the growth and activity of other immune system cells and blood cells. When released, they signal the immune system to do its job. Cytokines affect the growth of all blood cells and other cells that help the body’s immune and inflammation responses.

    Makes sense.

On September 9, 2013, Daszak emailed Fauci’s senior adviser David Morens to see if the sought-after NIAID chief would be available as a panel speaker. Morens emailed back, recommending that Daszak “write Tony directly, thanking him for meeting with you all recently and then inviting him to be a member of this Cosmos Club discussion. That way, it is personal and doesn’t look ‘cooked’ by us.”

Though Fauci declined that invitation and several others, Daszak kept trying. In February 2016, Morens passed along a valuable tip: Fauci “normally says no to almost everything like this. Unless ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox are all there with cameras running. If he were asked to give THE main talk or the only talk that might increase the chances.”

The gambit worked. Fauci signed on to give a presentation on the Zika virus at the Cosmos Club on March 30, and the RSVPs flowed in. The guests came from an array of deep-pocketed federal agencies: the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Pentagon, even NASA. As Daszak would declare at a board meeting on December 15, the “Washington, DC cultivation events have been a great way to increase our visibility to federal funders,” according to meeting minutes. A month earlier, Donald Trump had been elected president. One board member at the meeting asked what his incoming administration might mean for a conservation nonprofit dependent on federal grants. Daszak offered breezy reassurance: The organization’s “apolitical mission” would help it adapt.

I get the impression that this Daszak chap sold out for grant money, chyna poontang and is an all round arsehole in the mould of Fauxci and Collins.

There is a lot to contemplate in that Watch the Water doco. 🤔

Bloody oath Steve. I’ve had two thoughts since watching it, these are:

    1. Low incidence of Covid-19 in non-urban Africa. This has been attributed to the use of Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine in those regions to avoid mosquito borne diseases which also prevents users from catching Covid-19. Perhaps there’s another factor in play, the absence of reticulated mains water supply if the SARS-CoV-2 disease is spread through the water supply. If villagers are getting their water from a nearby river or a well, they would be less likely to contact the disease if it’s spread through a mains water supply system.

It might be interesting to compare the spread of this disease in urban Australia compared to regional Australia where farmers rely on rain water tanks for their water.

    2. Asphyxiation from advanced Covid-19. I watched a young New York doctor who was treating Covid-19 patients in a New York hospital in early 2020. He was astonished how his patients died, he said they couldn’t breathe and described their condition like someone suffering from breathlessness at heights, they didn’t appear to die the same way that people die from normal respiratory diseases.

I wonder if the symptoms of loss of control of the diaphragm due to venom in any way resembles death due to height sickness.

    Good to hear, mh.

    US inflation

The consumer price index rose 8.5% in March from a year ago, according to a new Labor Department report released Tuesday, marking the fastest increase since January 1982, when inflation hit 8.4%. The CPI – which measures a bevy of goods ranging from gasoline and health care to groceries and rents – jumped 1.2% in the one-month period from January.

Looking through the references, the main comparator ( Death Jab mRNA vs Other vaxx) over 3 references is the same population over a similar timeframe of Mandatory vaccination of US Military personnel with a smallpox vaxx, Dryvax.

Dryvax was so bad that it is no longer used. Remove the smallpox comparison from the Lancet paper and the rona vaxx mRNA is terrible.
