    In a move set to send shockwaves through the LNP, George Christensen has defected to Pauline Hanson’s One Nation and will contest the 2022 Federal Election.

    It’s good to see that you’re back from the dead MH.

    That’s very good news from George Christensen, I’m glad that he’s decided to stay in Parliament. He sent out a copy of his resignation from the LNP and it made very interesting reading, I’d post it here but it is too long.

    The main point he made was that the Liberal Party lost its soul when they booted Tony Abbott, I’d have to agree with that.

    LONDON — U.K. inflation came in at an annual 7% in March — its highest for 30 years — as soaring food and energy prices continue to squeeze consumers and pose a dilemma for policymakers.

    Consumer prices rose by 1.1% month-on-month, outstripping expectations for a 0.7% climb in a Reuters poll of economists, which had also projected a 6.7% annual increase.

    The 7% annual rise in the consumer price index is the highest since March 1992, outstripping the 6.2% increase recorded in February.

    If the mother has been inoculated and is still breast feeding there probably isn’t much point in giving the child an experimental needle raping.

    To honest, I haven’t looked into Ig exchange from breast milk with regard to mRNA shots. Most probably there would be conflicting ‘data’ on that like everything else related to this cluster fuck.

    Queenslanders will no longer be required to check in or be vaccinated to enter key venues heading into the Easter long weekend.
    The measures will be scrapped from 1am Thursday, in favour of relying on a large portion of the population already having been vaccinated to reduce spread.

    Types of venues that no longer require check ins or proof of vaccination include pubs, clubs, cafes and restaurants, theme parks, casinos, cinemas, weddings, showgrounds, galleries, libraries, museums and stadiums.

    High-risk settings will still be subject to mandates, including hospitals, disability accommodation services and residential aged care.

    Gilbert Gottfried, the actor and legendary stand-up comic known for his raw, scorched voice and crude jokes, has died. He was 67.

    Gottfried died from recurrent ventricular tachycardia due to myotonic dystrophy type II, a disorder that affects the heart, his publicist and longtime friend Glenn Schwartz said in a statement.

    Gottfried had shows scheduled for this month so clearly no one thought he was in a life threatening health battle.

    In an interview with the “Joe Rogan Experience” last November, Gottfried revealed he’d never been infected with Covid-19 and that he’d been double-vaxxed and boosted.

    What gets me about these announcements about ‘relaxed’ coronavirus restrictions (the same applies in WA) is how complicated they are.

    This category of people has to do this, and that category has to do that, except on Sundays and alternate Wednesdays, unless it rains.

    It is typical bureaucracy-speak, full of categories and exceptions, and most importantly, reminding us that we are all subject to their whims. Nobody who wants to catch a plane or a train or a bus is beyond their reach, nor are many occupations. As for the bewildering rules about ‘contacts’ – give me strength.

    The remarkable ability of a virus to distinguish between States/Territories, whether people are standing or sitting, and the length of time required between jabs, is simply astounding. What a clever, diabolical little critter it is!

    If it was running the country, we’d be much better off than we are with the current crop of lunkheads and worse.

    1. How often has this been happening?

    2. When you say automatically logged out again, does that mean you logged in today and then got logged out?

    3. You probably do this regularly, but just checking – do you log out at the end of the day, shut down/restart the system regularly?

    The comment at 12.44 pm ended up in the Bin. I went through each word and cannot see any reason why that happened.

    For all regular commenters:
    If a comment disappears, let me know. If it lands in the Spam bin, it won’t get checked unless I know about it.
    Also, try a simple comment and see if that gets through.

    Any other registered commenters facing the same log-in/comments disappearing problems?

    Adam, re your queries:

    What happens is that I stay logged in with the site open on a tab all the time. If I restart my computer, I manually log in in again, but it’s a desktop and I only do a restart to clean out the cache and cookies every couple of days.

    Every few days I notice that I have been logged out by unknown forces. When I log in again to make a comment, after I press send it shows me as logged out again and the comment disappears, presumably into your spam folder.

    If I am logged in my comments appear immediately.

    Hope this helps.

    Win11 update for Kaysee:

    Updated my hardware configuration (Dell Inspiron 3493):-
    From: 4GB RAM + 1TB HDD
    To: 8GB RAM + 1TB HDD + 256GB SSD (housing the OS).

    The biggest speed change was the SSD, followed by the 8GB RAM.

    The Inspiron 3493 (10th Gen core i5) is now almost as fast as an older Business notebook, Latitude e7250 (7th Gen core i7) a $2k machine 6 years ago.
