Air Force Accused of Lowering Standards for Elite Unit to Accommodate Female Candidate

The U.S. Air Force acknowledged it changed the “norms” on how a candidate advances through its elite Special Tactics training pipeline after an anonymous service member accused the military branch of making special accommodations to advance a female trainee who failed to meet the program’s rigorous physical standards.

Typically a candidate who quits the training program is reassigned to his or her previous duty, but that wasn’t the case with a female candidate who was kept in the program even after repeatedly quitting and failing to meet its physical standards, according to a memo published anonymously Wednesday morning and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. Advancing a candidate who quit the program violated the Special Tactics community’s “societal norms,” the memo states.

This is from the Virology Journal in 2005

Chloroquine is a potent inhibitor of SARS coronavirus infection and spread

    Background

Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) is caused by a newly discovered coronavirus (SARS-CoV). No effective prophylactic or post-exposure therapy is currently available.

    Results

We report, however, that chloroquine has strong antiviral effects on SARS-CoV infection of primate cells. These inhibitory effects are observed when the cells are treated with the drug either before or after exposure to the virus, suggesting both prophylactic and therapeutic advantage. In addition to the well-known functions of chloroquine such as elevations of endosomal pH, the drug appears to interfere with terminal glycosylation of the cellular receptor, angiotensin-converting enzyme 2. This may negatively influence the virus-receptor binding and abrogate the infection, with further ramifications by the elevation of vesicular pH, resulting in the inhibition of infection and spread of SARS CoV at clinically admissible concentrations.

    The Week That Was

This series of posts ran for a few weeks, last year. The purpose of the posts was for a wind down on the week. Meeting at the virtual Cat pub on a Friday to have some fun about the events of the previous few days.

It turned out that Shy Ted was the only regular Cat joining me at the pub. Now, I like Ted, I really do.🙂 But just the two of us meeting, week after week, with very occasional appearances by a few others, defeats the purpose of that thread.

You don’t have to contribute a toon, a meme, or any kind of link, if you don’t have one. There is so much that happens in the week – the pollies, celebrities, words, phrases, media, double-standards, news stories. Anything (preferably, clean) light-hearted and entertaining (something new or was posted by someone else) can be added, for us all to enjoy some relief from the madness in the world.

I thought it would be something to cheer all Cats on this blog – not just Shy Ted and this commenter.

It may be time to turn that off, unless there are others who are interested and willing to take part.

While Saget’s cause of death might not be officially determined for weeks, law enforcement noted signs pointing to a “sudden medical emergency”, per TMZ.

Authorities cited the position in which Saget’s body was found lying on the bed, with his left hand over his chest.

Saget was found unresponsive by staff in a Florida hotel room about an hour after he was due to check out.

Vax-Pushing Trump Says Politicians Are “Gutless” For Failing To Answer If They’ve Got A Booster

During an interview with One America News, Donald Trump slammed politicians who won’t say if they’ve received a Covid booster shot or not.

Asked for his current view on Covid vaccines Tuesday evening, the 45th president said, “Well, I’ve taken it. I’ve had the booster. I watched a couple of politicians being interviewed, and one of the questions was, ‘Did you get the booster?’ Because they had the vaccine, and the answer is yes but they don’t want to say it.”

“Because they’re gutless,” Trump added. “You gotta say it, whether you had it or not, say it. But the fact is that I think the vaccine has saved tens of millions of people throughout the world. I’ve had absolutely no side effects.”

Trump didn’t mention which politicians he was referring to, but many outlets are reporting that he was attacking Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

The DARPA documents obtained by Project Veritas

    The Editor

Project Veritas has obtained Pentagon documents related to the development of Covid-19 in the Wuhan lab and posted them on its website – https://www.projectveritas.com/news/military-documents-about-gain-of-function-contradict-fauci-testimony-under/ .

This is an extract from whistleblower USMC Major Joseph Murphy, formerly attached to DARPA.

“Decisions with regard to the vaccines do not appear to be informed by analysis of the documents. The main points being that SARS-Cov-2 matches the SARS vaccine variants the NIH-EcoHealth program was making in Wuhan; that the DOD rejected the program proposal because vaccines would be ineffective and because the spike proteins being inserted into the variants were deemed too dangerous (gain-of-function); and that the DOD now mandates vaccines that copy the spike proteins previously deemed too dangerous. To me, and to those who informed my analysis, this situation meets no-go or abort criteria with regards to the vaccines until the toxicity of the spike proteins can be investigated. There’s also information within the documents about which drugs effectively treat the program’s SARS-Covs.”

There are five documents in the Project Veritas cache and I urgently suggest everyone, especially journalists, politicians and medical professionals, familiarise themselves with them before one more pro-vaccine story is printed or aired, before anyone else is coerced into receiving these “vaccines”, and before one more injection is given.

Yak bulls and cows gives these mountain dwelling people milk, fur, meat, insulation, cement and also fuel! Yes, you heard right. Yak dung is used as fire-wood; fueling stoves and warm meals in communities living way above the tree-line.

Kyanjin Gumpa, which sits at 4000m above sea level, actually do have a little forest growing on a mountain nearby. Exactly how, given that the mountainside the town is built on is completely treeless, I never got a proper answer to. I did notice some small streams coming down the mountain the forest grows on though, meaning it’s probably perpetually naturally irrigated.

The people living in Kyaanjin Gumpa hence don’t have to solely rely on Yak dung for all their heat and cooking needs. But they do use it to supplement their fires, which regardless of which fuel is being burnt, are incredibly labor intensive to maintain.

Just how labor intensive exactly? Well you be the judge as I become a Himalayan Yak Dung Hunter for a day…. 😎

It wasn’t in NY it was here. I actually posted the story on the other Cat a few days ago.

Again; I was sitting in my office when I heard a loud commotion outside and looked out my window. I say a bunch of dudes running after a guy and I thought they were chasing him to beat him up. I subsequently saw them walking down the hill together. We live in a steep street.

I then heard the same commotion, looked out and saw them all running up the hill again while the lead guy was “sprinting” up sideways. That’s really hard to do so it caught my interest and went out front. I sort of felt I recognized the tall dude as a tennis player but couldn’t recall his name, so I asked him if he was a tennis player. He told me who his was and we go talking for a little while. I asked him if he was Yugoslav and he corrected me by saying he was Serbian. I forgot they took offense at that crap.

We had our niece (a med student then), who is quite pretty and she was looking over the terrace immediately fell in love.

He was actually a really nice dude.

We sort of live in the vicinity of the tennis center.
