Police have arrested multiple protesters and deployed pepper spray in Melbourne as hundreds of people took to the streets to protest the state’s Covid-19 lockdown.
The “Freedom Rally ” protest began at midday, with rallies also planned in every other state capital except for Hobart.
Members of the majority maskless crowd chanted “sack Daniel Andrews” and “no more lockdown” while beating a gong and cheering.
Some of the protesters held signs criticising the lockdown and various government decisions.
One sign read “say no to the vaccine” while another read “no health advice, no compliance”.
A heavy police presence was on Bourke St and around Parliament House, with officers stopping people as they walked across the road.
Police have also blocked off some CBD roads.

The government made this a “crisis” so that they could “fix” it – all for political gain. Labor leaders knew it and played along, incidentally increasing their powers to warlord status along the way.
Now it has blown up like an exploding cigar – inevitable to any sentient being, but somehow eluding the Big Brains of the PM and NSW premier.
So they have done the only thing that irreparably stupid people can do – they have doubled down, hoping for a mysterious circuit-breaker. Something tells me the vaccines aren’t going to be it.

They will agree with generalised statements such as for every Catholic Church Brother or Priest they charge, there are about another nine they do not feel confident with evidence beyond reasonable doubt to do the same. For every charge laid there are about another nine charges there is not sufficient evidence likely to have a jury concur and agree to the guilt of an accused.
Usually the reason why the relatively small number of criminal charges versus complaints is the difficulty in getting witnesses and/or vicitims willing to cooberate allegations. Mainly for fear of social and community repercussions in the form of labelling, stigma and ostracisation.

There are now a growing number of Catholic priests who have been acquitted after police let some complainants habitually make false statements and perjured themselves. There was a recent case in Goulburn where an accuser made the false accusation against a priest who wasn’t at the school/camp at the time.
That’s the *quality* of some of the “strongest” 10% of accusations – then we have a false accusation problem, not an abuse problem, dummy!
