    We are told that Mia and others are “unhoused.” I say that Mia is facultatively homeless. This looks like a series of choices, not a string of bad luck. Perhaps the series of choices is, in Mia’s case as in so many, compounded by mental illness, drug addiction, or a childhood that rendered this person very poor at understanding consequences. All of these things may be true, and none of them are reason to allow people to be facultatively homeless. Having an understanding for how someone arrived at a place should not be conflated with letting them do whatever they want now that they are there.

    We are told that the term is now “LGBTQ+.” Is it now. Mia is part of this elite group—the LGBTQ+ group—by virtue of having declared himself non-binary. That’s all it takes—a declaration. The rest of us are on notice that the only correct response is to affirm the declaration. I guess that having long flowing hair and pearls and bright red lipstick and eye makeup contributes to the fantasy. But that’s what it is: a fantasy.

    Trump news – live: Raskin says former president ‘will get his comeuppance’ for Jan 6

    Democrat representative Jamie Raskin, a member of the House 6 January committee, has said that former president Donald Trump will “get his comeuppance” over the attack on the US Capitol.

    Suggesting that criminal charges may soon be brought against the former president, Mr Raskin labelled Mr Trump “guilty as sin” and called him a “one-man crime wave” in an interview with Salon.

    While the committee can not itself bring criminal charges against Mr Trump, it can refer any criminal findings to attorney general Merrick Garland.

    The House committee on the insurrection at Capitol is set to begin its public hearings this month. A series of eight prime-time televised hearings will begin from 9 June as it tries to uncover what led to the attack, and the role of the former president.

    Meanwhile, Mr Trump’s close aide Peter Navarro, who served as a White House adviser and worked to keep Mr Trump in office after his defeat, has been summoned to testify on Thursday to a federal grand jury.

    Botswana read a statement on behalf of its 47 AFRO members, saying they would be collectively withholding their support for the ‘reforms’, which many African members were very concerned about.

    Multiple other countries also said they had reservations over the changes and would not be supporting them either.

    Jim Breuer was hinting at the ugliness of those in charge in Hollyweird in a Podcast upthread (without being sued, presumably).

    Went down the rabbit hole recently, c/- YouTube from a Podcast with a minor celebrity – got fed some YouTube suggestions to some other topical stuff actually referred to in the Podcast.

    Got a glimpse of the couple’s lifestyle when I googled them – there was a whole bunch of recent stuff on Reddit.

    Suffice to say, it was of the nature of the Depp/Heard situation.

    Middle-aged drug fvcked Asian comedian, whose career had tanked (had been in sitcoms), is with a hot younger Eurasian partner – then you find out it’s an open relationship (her idea), she also states on a live Podcast that she still has the password* to the email account of her ex boyfriend of 13 years ago (she’s a minor actress and Podcaster, aged 37) that she “accidentally” logs into at times… the ex has moved on, has had several girlfriends since, yada, yada…

    *Is she trying to headfvck this guy?
    He seems to be a nice, kind, generous guy surrounded by leeches, likely a supreme disadvantage in Tinsel Town (they’re in L.A., of course).

    The Depp/Heard situation, and the reciprocal, is likely quite common in Hollyweird.

    Breuer seems to have a good relationship with a wife who listens to Christian music and has 3 teenage daughters (the wife with stage 4 breast cancer, unfortunately).

    Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has sent a letter to the United Nations formally requesting that his country be referred to as “Türkiye,” the state-run news agency reported.

    The move is seen as part of a push by Ankara to rebrand the country and dissociate its name from the bird, turkey, and some negative connotations that are associated with it.

    It must be said that artists of every stripe tend to be flaky – it is a big part of who they are.

    The ones who get to the top are usually not only flakes, but also driven narcissists. There are exceptions, but they are a minority.

    That’s my take away with artistes, in general.

    They must rely heavily on their Agents.

    Unfortunately, “airing the dirty laundry” seems to be the only card left to play for the unfortunate guy upthread – self-therapy via live Podcast.
    From the Reddit rumours, he may have lost some sponsors due to the feral nature of some of the recent stuff that has come out (via his girlfriend) – no wonder why.

    When I was but a young boy I met Annette Kellerman who was a friend of my grandmother. She spent many years in Hollywood in the early part of the last century and she said that all of Hollywood was crooked except for Mickey Rooney who was a perfect gentleman.
