On FlashCat, I can only speculate. It’s been around six months since the site was acquired and set up, just like this one. There may be a factor there. Or just a simple glitch – they have been known to happen.

Hi BB! I’ve mostly been pottering about on Posh Cat, and sometimes on Currency Lad’s fine blog.

Have just been rereading The Great Combat, by Ivan Southall, which I mentioned on Dover’s yesterday. Then checked – the story is real, since here’s a photo from the AWM of Sqn Ldr Col Walker DSO, of Sunderland flying boat N for Nellie of 461 Sqn RAAF. He and his guys somehow fought off eight Ju-88s, shooting down at least three. The AWM has the actual mission report which you can see here (Sqn Walker had to explain why he lost his aircraft, RAF bureaucrats want to know this in case they feel a need to dock the pilot’s pay). The Germans thereafter thought Sunderlands were a sort of flying tank.

‘Freedom’ truckers may form world’s longest convoy

According to Guinness World Records, the longest truck convoy ever recorded was 7.5 km long, in Egypt in 2020.

The Freedom Convoy heading from British Columbia to Ottawa is said to be considerably longer.

“It’s 70 km long,” said Benjamin Dichter, spokesman for the Freedom Convoy 2022. “I have seen footage from an airplane. It’s impressive.”

By Wednesday, truckers hope to have taken their protest through to Manitoba and will make it to southern Ontario on Friday.

Plans call for the convoy to arrive in Ottawa on Saturday for a protest.

If it gets there on time — and if the convoy holds together as it has in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan — it could be 10 times larger than the world record.

CO2 absorbs outgoing longwave infrared radiation (heat) as photons at 14.8 microns frequency (Planck’s Law).

The temperature of absorption at 14.8 microns is -80 degrees Celsius (Wien’s Displacement Law).

Minus 80 degrees Celsius is 95 degrees lower than average surface temperature.

The Second Law of Thermodynamics proves heat doesn’t flow from cold zones to hotter zones.

CO2 cannot “trap heat.” It merely delays outgoing infrared photons momentarily so high up in the atmosphere it’s irrelevant.

Atmospheric CO2 is contingent upon seawater temperature (Henry’s Law).

Only the sun has the energy to heat 1.335 billion cubic kilometres of water.

To control Earth’s climate, you must control the sun.

    JC, no.
You’re talking about agitprop that can’t even make the grade as a basic hypothesis, because it is unfalsifiable.
A theory is an hypothesis that has stood up to testing, a definition that CO2-warming, as you’ve just admitted, cannot meet
The laws of physics I quoted eliminate that non-hypothesis, that non-theory, that “speculation”, from any reasonable consideration.
It is, put simply, complete bullsh!t.
And I just quoted the “laws”, not “theories” or “hypotheses”, that prove it unquestionably.

Your pretending it has some merit puts you in a very broad class of grifters preying on the ignorant in our society, to everyone’s overall detriment.
CO2 warming, any amount of it, just does not exist – as I’ve made abundantly clear.
    It. Is. Not. Physically. Possible.

JC, the only “risk” from “CO2-warming” is the introduction of communism by stealth via carbon passports, carbon lockdowns, and the like.
In raw physics, CO2 does not, it cannot, lead to “catastrophic man-made global warming – or any temperature change at all.
    That is purest propaganda.
James Hanson started the warming narrative officially in his sneaky, air-conditioning disabling, hottest day of summer, 1988 US senate committee address.
Sea levels are lower now than they were in 1988.
    Lower, not higher.
No sea level rise means no melting ice means no global warming.

    Stranded assets?

Sydney Airport is another quality infrastructure asset that grew to around 22-23x EBITDA before the pandemic hit. Obviously, Covid has been catastrophic to current passenger numbers. Sydney Airport has a similar growth profile to Transurban, however, there are some limitations to passenger growth due to regulations that limit the number of aircraft movements to 80 per hour and only between 6am to 11pm. Under the dual till approach landing charges are lightly regulated and all other revenues such as carparking and retail are largely unregulated. Unlike Transurban, there are no brownfield or greenfield acquisitions. The concession with Government ends in 2097 which means this is effectively a perpetual type of investment and indeed is priced as such with a low 20s EBITDA multiple valuation.

APA Group is the third listed core infrastructure asset listed on the ASX. Over time the valuation of APA has stayed the same with a mid-teens EBITDA multiple valuation. Considering the fall in base rates over the last 10 years, the valuation has gone backwards today relative to 2010 when adjusted for base rates. APA has acquired a few assets over the years and even diversified into renewable energy with various solar and wind farms in the portfolio (albeit they are immaterial in terms of the value of the total business). The market however has looked less favourably on APA compared to Transurban and Sydney Airport.
