This is at least two years too late for the move to be called a commonsense approach.

No control inputs at all. I reckon a medical episode.

Could be G-LOC Steve. They were going around the pylon. Pull the G on suddenly and you don’t have time to do the anti G thing and the G suit may not be quick enough. Assuming they wear G suits at Reno.
Friend of mine died in a Pitts at Beverley WA in late 1980. Pulled into a low level loop suddenly and only went about 3/4 of the way around. Likely G LOC. (G-LOC – G induced Loss Of Consciousness). Blood suddenly runs into lower part of body, leaving brain starved.

That plane was not pulling heavy G’s.

    Disaster Compilations

A 6.9-magnitude earthquake hit southeastern Taiwan on Sunday, causing buildings to collapse and triggering tsunami warnings.

The quake hit the Chishang township in rural southeastern Taiwan and had a depth of 10 kilometers.

Japan’s Meteorological Agency issued a tsunami warning for Miyako island in the East China Sea, but the agency later removed the warning. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) had also warned of tsunami waves along nearby coastlines.

Photos showed collapsed buildings in southern Taiwan following the powerful earthquake. The USGS initially registered it at 7.2, before downgrading it to 6.9.

Four people were rescued after being trapped under the rubble of one building, the island’s official Central News Agency (CNA) reported.

About 20 passengers were evacuated after a train derailed in the area, but there were no casualties from the incident, the Taiwan Railway Administration said.

Kolas Yotaka, a former presidential spokeswoman who is running for local elections in Hualien county, said that damages were also reported at a local school.

Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen activated the island’s Central Emergency Operation Center following the quake. Taiwanese residents have been asked to stay alert to avoid potential aftershocks, Tsai said in a recorded statement.

About 110 soldiers have also been deployed in Hualien county, along the island’s eastern coast, to assist with disaster relief efforts, Taiwan’s defense ministry spokesman Sun Li-fang said.

    From Wikipedia
On 10 October 1984, GG1001 crashed in South Korea on a demonstration flight, killing Northrop pilot Darrell Cornell. An investigation cleared the F-20 of mechanical or design faults; it concluded Cornell had blacked out due to excessive g-forces.[43] GI1001 crashed in May 1985 at Goose Bay, Labrador, killing Northrop pilot Dave Barnes. Again the crash was blamed on G-LOC; Barnes had been practicing his aerobatic routine for the Paris Air Show.[44]
    Also:
Less than two months after first taking flight, the Hawk 200 demonstrator was lost in a fatal accident at Dunsfold Aerodrome, killing BAe test pilot Jim Hawkins; Hawkins is alleged to have either become disoriented or to have fallen unconscious, due to g-LOC (g induced loss of consciousness), while executing high-g manoeuvres to explore the aircraft’s agility.[citation needed]

‘Dr. Doom’ foresees potential 40pc drop in S&P 500

Economist Nouriel Roubini, who correctly predicted the 2008 financial crisis, sees a “long and ugly” recession in the US and globally occurring at the end of 2022 that could last all of 2023 and a sharp correction in the S&P 500.

“Even in a plain vanilla recession, the S&P 500 can fall by 30 per cent,” said Roubini, chairman and chief executive officer of Roubini Macro Associates, in an interview this week. In “a real hard landing”, which he expects, it could fall 40 per cent.

Roubini whose prescience on the housing bubble crash of 2007 to 2008 earned him the nickname Dr. Doom, said that those expecting a shallow US recession should be looking at the large debt ratios of corporations and governments.

As rates rise and debt servicing costs increase, “many zombie institutions, zombie households, corporates, banks, shadow banks and zombie countries are going to die”, he said. “So we’ll see who’s swimming naked.”

Roubini, who has warned that global debt levels will drag down markets, said that achieving a 2 per cent inflation rate without a hard landing is going to be “mission impossible” for the Federal Reserve. He expects a 75 basis points rate hike at the current meeting and 50 basis points in both November and December. That would lead the Fed funds rate by year’s end to be between 4 per cent and 4.25 per cent.

However, persistent inflation, especially in wages and the service sector, will mean the Fed will “probably have no choice” but to hike more, he said, with funds rates going toward 5 per cent…

It made sense and still does. We’ll never know though.

I have not followed the media broadcasts following the death of QEII. But I watched the funeral coverage beginning around 7 pm AEST to around 11 pm via the BBC version, on YouTube.

So my question was specific to checking on this time frame.

It was a live coverage, probably watched by billions around the world. There was a procession from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey. The pall bearers carried the coffin into the church for the funeral service. Then, they carried the coffin out of the church and in procession through the streets of central London. Was this the fake coffin for the public?

A worry about security related to Elizabeth’s body and the coffin? British security services unable to manage this? An operation that has been in the planning for decades?

In the same country where most of the world’s leaders, dignitaries and royalty had flown in for the funeral? In Westminster Abbey, where all these hotshots were arriving, over a few hours, to attend the funeral? One church holding all these VIPs. This would have been the security nightmare for law enforcement.

I’ll get back with a longer comment (my analysis) on the Queen and the two opposing sides that have emerged, since her death. Later, in a few weeks, after all the mourning and media commentary settles down.

I used to wake up most mornings with a post forming in my head, and go to the computer and pour it all out, edit it and post it.
Lately, not much comes to me. I think it is because there is so much occurring in the world now, so rapidly, that I’m too busy processing for my mind to organise it into something coherent by morning.
I suspect that is the reason we are seeing quite a bit of disordered thinking around the blogosphere at the moment. Too much to process.

A couple of years ago we might have been saying ‘this will all end in tears’.

We now witness the bitter harvest from what has been sown.

    The green energy disaster.
The credit bubble economies beginning to pop.
Central Bankers telling us they will fix something (that they broke), but we never reach the point where it’s fixed.

Inflation (that they moronically predicted as transitory) and war in Europe are the things I’m struggling to make order out of MH.
Despite repeating for years to everyone “They’ll have to inflate all this debt away”. Seeing a prediction come true doesn’t make it any easier to figure out what to do when it’s as shitty situation as this.

It is a mystery how a dunce like Don Lemon could be paid a lot of money to talk on TV. The guy is as dumb as a box of rocks, and if he did go to college he didn’t learn a thing.

US markets tanked upon the news

Federal Reserve officials raised interest rates by 75 basis points for the third consecutive time, stepping up their fight to curb inflation that’s persisted near the highest levels since the 1980s.

Officials expect the benchmark rate to rise to 4.4 per cent by year end and 4.6 per cent during 2023, according to the median estimate in updated quarterly projections published alongside the statement. That indicates a fourth-straight 75 basis-point hike could be on the table for the next gathering in November, about a week before the midterm elections.
