Right, because arguing about whether or not women are women is the most important issue around today.

The chutzpah of the transgender lobby is just staggering. But the spineless and stupid responses of the doofi they challenge is right up there. No wonder the lobby keeps lobbying.

I don’t remember this happening pre vax

An American artistic swimmer was rescued by her quick-thinking coach after fainting in the pool at the World Championships in Budapest.

Anita Alvarez, 25, lost consciousness during the solo free final but her coach Andrea Fuentes spotted the danger and dived into the pool to haul her to the surface. It was the second time that Fuentes has saved Alvarez, having also pulled her to safety when she fainted at the end of her duet routine at the Olympic qualifier in Barcelona last year…

Doctor Deception: AMA Takes Aim Against Physician Disinformation

The policy focuses on healthcare professionals who spread misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines and promote unproven treatments for the disease. But it has wider implications for other public health issues, as well. Some components of the policy could be brought to bear against the licensing and board certification of physicians who participate in this kind of disinformation.

In an investigative report published last October, CNN found that a number of physicians around the country were contributing to public distrust of the COVID-19 vaccines. Among those cited was Christiane Northrup, MD, whose Facebook page has 558,000 followers. According to CNN, Northrup used her Facebook page to direct followers to Telegram, another social media site that traffics in anti-vaccine misinformation and conspiracy theories.

Gold, who helped found a group that opposes COVID-19 restrictions, has also promoted the use of hydroxychloroquine as a cure for the disease. There is no evidence that hydroxychloroquine is effective for that purpose. CNN also noted that the FDA has issued a warning to Joseph Mercola, DO, for hawking phony COVID cures. Other physicians have promoted and prescribed ivermectin, a cure for animal parasites that has not been shown to be effective in treating COVID.

Thanks to the war in Ukraine, there is a shortage of agricultural chemicals. As each adult produces enough pee annually to fertilise 145kg of wheat, perhaps bodily waste is the answer

Considering a big move this year? You may want to think about Canada or western Europe.

The annual ranking of the world’s most liveable cities has just been released by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), and 2022’s Global Liveability Index shows some marked differences from the list from 2021.

Despite having topped the list in the past, Melbourne fell to 10th place in 2022.

In 2021, Australia dominated the EIU index, with Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth all joining Melbourne in the top 10.

This year, they rank 27th, 30th and 32nd respectively.

Anita Alvarez, the artistic swimmer who keeps fainting in the pool, from June 2021

Alvarez has already received her vaccine, and she is quite excited about what it means for competing in her sport as an individual and alongside her teammates.

“I’ve gotten the vaccine already actually. I think first week of March and then I got the second dose just two weeks ago, and yeah I’m just grateful to have had access to it,” Alvarez said. “I think exactly what Dana had said is just peace of mind to be able to travel and compete with our team and obviously we haven’t done any traveling or competing yet besides a couple virtual things, but just looking forward and ahead towards Tokyo I think we’re just grateful to have gotten access to it and not just for ourselves and for traveling, but also just for the community and you know for more than just ourselves, but protecting the community and beyond… Most of my team has had the vaccine now, so we’re really excited and happy about that.”

Lisa Wilkinson’s husband Peter FitzSimons’ link to Brittany Higgins’ book deal could be explored at trial

Mr Whybrow said Ms Higgins’ credibility was the central question at the trial and that Ms Wilkinson had effectively said in her speech on Sunday night, “I believe her” and you’re “the bravest woman I know”.

    And then the bad news

Justice McCallum then referenced Julia Gillard’s celebrated misogyny speech, describing it as the “most powerful speech by a woman certainly in my memory”.

“I can actually recite the whole speech,’’ she said.
