mh, cloth masks – I wouldn’t think so but remember they are only reading the autocue. It’s the actual authors of the script who are calling the shots and largely it’s just cut and paste from the standard script. IMHO no over the counter mask is any better or worse than any other, they’re all harmful and any inhaled or exhaled gases, like water, will take the path of least resistance, that is, not through but around the mask.
In a previous life I was a registered nurse and due to the nature of my role I was privy to how all the guidelines come about. It’s by committee, more or less, and they never dare omit any idea no matter how stupid. Hence you always have a completely over the top policy or guideline such is the desperation to avoid any down the line responsibility.
it’s a sad but true fact that the characters who get involved in these projects are often sidelined from clinical practice for a number of reasons and have or never had the grassroots understanding of reality.
I did an intramuscular injection clinic 3 days a week for 2 years and the “rules” and “guidelines” change all the time, based on dubious research, whereas a clinicians practice does not, they just do what works and that’s very often what a patient will accept. I feel I can say with confidence that the elites we see getting their jabs are getting or “not getting” them from a regular injection giver because they look like complete amateurs. I’m a little sceptical of the “fake injection” stuff based on different colour needles and syringe sizes because very often you run out of stock of the recommended sizes. But in some of them you can clearly see capped needles and the plunger not being depressed. I also don’t pay much notice to nurse wearing or not wearing gloves. They’re mandatory in many places but they make everything harder because you can’t feel anything. I used to wear one glove on the hand that touched the skin and I never ever didn’t apply pressure to the injection site because you always always always get liquid and/or blood leakage at the site.
When you see the likes of Biden or ScoMo getting jabbed and the nurse just walks off, no, not an injection.
Back to masks – who knows where cloth masks are made and whether they are sterilised in any way.
I would wear a mask only when I thought there was a likelihood of bodily fluids being sprayed. Masks just make things harder, speech, vision and so on.
We used to do little experiments such as wear an oximeter on your finger, mask up and watch your O2 sats go down in a few moments. And I am a believer that the sterilising agent Ethylene Oxide (EO) on mask boxes and on swabs causes cancer. That’s not disputed, merely at what rate the mask degrades so we breathe in nano-particles with every breath and how our immune systems deal with it, even the immuno-compromised.
It’s a multi-pronged attack on our immune systems, germs will do the rest.
But in today’ health system nothing, absolutely nothing, exists without research and the research is usually undertaken by the naive and the ideological for their PhD thesis. It’s just not the real world because no 2 people have the same health or ill-health status. Cheers
PS I might write a piece about dodgy research I’ve seen one day.

Atticus* (31/12), you’re assuming climate alarmists tell truths. They don’t. Here’s proof.

The only heat that water vapour leaves for CO2 to absorb is in a narrow band (14.8 microns, Planck’s Law).

It can only do so where it’s very cold (-80C, Wien’s Displacement Law).

It only gets that cold at the mesopause (about 80km up).

-80C is 95 degrees Celsius lower than average surface temperature (15C).

The Second Law of Thermodynamics means heat won’t flow from cold to hot.

CO2 cannot “trap heat.” It can only delay it for a few seconds as it heads out to space.

Atmospheric CO2 depends on seawater temperature (Henry’s Law).

Only the sun has enough energy to heat 1.335 billion cubic kilometres of seawater.

Ergo, the sun controls Earth’s climate; CO2 does not.

CO2-warming has been propaganda all along. Joseph Goebbels would be jealous of the CO2 alarmists’ agitprop skills.

    (147 words)
    * The “Atticus” mentioned is a serial greentard text-to-the editor author who claimed sceptics wouldn’t know how to operate a Bunsen burner…

    The Editor

Climate alarmists took yet another major faceplant during the covid shutdowns.

When global governments lock-stepped their covid responses and stripped citizens of their natural rights, alarmists gloated that we’d see a reduction in CO2, and therefore in temperature.

In fact, the opposite happened – and here’s why.

The reduction in power generation and surface travel, but more relevantly, air travel, reduced airborne particulates and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon emissions.

The reduction in those compounds reduced planetary albedo, allowing more solar irradiance and solar wind particles through the atmosphere to the planet’s surface.

That additional energy caused higher recorded surface temperatures and provided more warmth to the uppermost 300 metres of the oceans.

That warmer seawater released more CO2, in accordance with Henry’s Law, which fractionally accelerated the steady CO2 increase observed since the Little Ice Age.

Once again, as usual, alarmist “science” failed – not expectedly, as it has always been political propaganda.

Avoid cruise travel, regardless of vaccination status.

Even fully vaccinated travelers may be at risk for getting and spreading COVID-19 variants.

The virus that causes COVID-19 spreads easily between people in close quarters on board ships, and the chance of getting COVID-19 on cruise ships is very high, even if you are fully vaccinated and have received a COVID-19 vaccine booster dose.

Outbreaks of COVID-19 have been reported on cruise ships.

If you travel on a cruise ship, make sure you are fully vaccinated before travel and get a COVID-19 vaccine booster dose if you are eligible.

People who go on a cruise should get tested 1–3 days before their trip and 3–5 days after their trip, regardless of vaccination status or symptoms.

Washed, treated, fed, lots of TLC over the next few weeks and a fine puppy emerged, full of life, fun and sharp little teeth.
When we fished at the wharf we’d jag sardines for bait and throw CD (name) one. Boy, what a treat. Grew into a fine, strong dog on a sardine diet but the worst fish-breath. WOuldn’t be left home alone under any circumstances so she’d come along on fishing trips. One day there was a bait ball, amazing sight with various levels of predators feasting on those 1 down the food chain. Caught the biggest spanish mackerel of my life which was gobbled up by a shark at the side of the boat leaving only head and shoulders. The sea was red such was the massacre. Whether she was just trying to escape from the heat or she’d seen a particularly tasty sardine, CD leapt into the water and went for a swim. This reminded me of the incident.
It’s a terrible thing to watch, the imminent death of a loved one right in front of your eyes but a few minutes later she was back at the boat and pulled aboard, tail saying “that was awesome”.

Those who caught the most severe, original form of Covid-19 were the elderly or those with severe existing health problems.

Eighty percent of most demographics weren’t ever at risk of catching it due to their healthy immune systems.

Amongst the aged and infirm, that original variant killed three in 1,000 people.

Subsequent variants have been more contagious but less deadly, as expected under Farr’s Law.

However, a major life insurer in the US, OneAmerica, has reported a staggering, unprecedented 40% surge in death and disability claims amongst working age people in 2021.

A small minority of these deaths and injuries have been attributed to Covid-19, however these demographics were not affected by that severe first variant.

The one thing that changed between 2020 and 2021 was the mass vaccination program.

The truth has a way of bubbling to the surface, regardless of the efforts of certain corporations and governments to hide it.

It is time Australia halted this vaccine roll-out; too many alarms are ringing.

NEPAL, HIMALAYA: At 4:45AM my alarm kicked off and 20 minutes later I was on my way up the Himalayas in total darkness. Bears, snow leopards, blackface Trudeau monkeys and a host of other potentially dangerous wild animals roam these lands but with the exception of the bears, whom are in hibernation at this time a year, the others are not to fond of people and should pose no problem what so ever as long as I don’t venture far of course into the wilderness.

In total darkness, only seeing whatever my headlight pointed at… I kept trekking uphill for what was going to be the greatest endurance and strength test of my entire life.

The amount of WestOz sheep wearing masks outside in 30 degree heat (30 mins ago ) is astonishing and embarrassing . Forecast is for 36 today. Again. I remind myself of Indigo Traveller in Nigeria, walking the slums and think about the CHO / CMO’s dictates given here. Pure unadulterated bullsh*t… according to such ‘scientific’ thinking from these pricks, the slums of Nigeria should be a hotbed of C-19 deaaaaaaattthhhhh. They are not.

I will confess I wore a mask going to shop today…around my neck. Copped a few stares, but no one uttered a word. Check out chick didn’t bat an eyelid.

‘Tuesday night’s Big Bash game has been switched due to multiple positive cases within the Brisbane Heat squad.

The Heat and Sixers are staying at the same resort on the Gold Coast, mixing with the public.’

If the players are mixing with the public, why do they get interviewed by CH7 while standing on their own about 15 metres away from the interviewer?

But in today’ health system nothing, absolutely nothing, exists without research and the research is usually undertaken by the naive and the ideological for their PhD thesis. It’s just not the real world because no 2 people have the same health or ill-health status.
    Cheers
PS I might write a piece about dodgy research I’ve seen one day.

Shy Ted, you have made some important points there.

If you plan on writing a piece on research – both dodgy and otherwise – email Admin. Instead of a long comment, it could go up as a Post.

No. Immediate wanker status would be getting vaxxed so that you can play in Melbourne.

The Joker is a pure blood.

All the vaxxed players are dropping like flies. Nick Kyrgios being the latest.

I get where you are coming from 👍 but I expect the MSM will go bonkers and frame a narrative. “Djokovic!, why are you not jabbed”? …every presser he has. You think he can handle it?

    We shall see.
